Epiphone Noel Gallagher Riviera

- Epiphone is honored to welcome Noel Gallagher back to the core lineup with the Epiphone Noel Gallagher Riviera based on his 1983 Riviera that started it all.
With the original still in the artist's collection, Epiphone was granted access and, as a result, has included many historical elements with this new model. The color and finish are a close match to original models from that era, while Epiphone Alnico Classic PRO™ pickups ensure the sound matches the looks. A SlimTaper™ neck is completed by the inclusion of a volute. Extra touches such as historically accurate "E" appointments on the pickguard and truss rod cover and a brown sound hole label give this guitar a vintage feel. Complete with an Epiphone hardshell case, the guitar is finished off with a replica of the artist's signature on the back of the headstock.

"I'm a songwriter, I'm not a guitar player" probably the most honest quote by someone like him ever
I dont think he can say that when you consider several Oasis hits have like a dozen electric guitar tracks
@@bueller8278 True but I think his comment is referring to the fact that he’s not really a virtuoso or so technically gifted at guitar. Noel is very good at guitar but there are session guitarists with more speed, agility and precision - but where Noel transcends is with his composition/writing abulity.
I saw them in Denver front row in 2008 & he can shred like the best of them.
@@barkerpoo yep a lot of pentatonic stuff going on but it was obviously good enough. It certainly didn't bother me!
That is a quiet good guitar player who talks like that
Noel is the only rockstar to actually look BETTER after 30 years.
And his songs 𝘨𝘦𝘵 better too! The Mighty O is untouchable but his post O songs are just as good. We’re just hearing them played in a different way.
Noel ages like an older blues or country cat.does no
want to look like a 20 something or other..comfortable with his groove.

@@mdomine245Good shout.
I think u mistakenly forgot Slash, Bono and The Edge
What I really loved about Oasis is that they taught me that you don't need to be flashy or very technically sound to have fun writing and playing music
Very true. Noel made guitar music accessible. He often got slagged off by snobby critics for being simple but he wrote massive songs that anyone can learn and play. Top guy, top band
This is what attracted me to play guitar. 🙏🏼👌🏼
The devil's in the detail though. They may be 'simple' chords but the structure, arrangements and multi-tracking are exceptional.
@@theselector4733 Exactly, and his ability to sing melodies that just naturally go with all the fast chord changes is enough to blow plenty trained musicians right out the water! You can get there but you need to write a hell of a lot of songs.
@Anony-mousse True, but he portrays the 'don't give a shit" RnR attitude very well on occasions. I recall having an argument once with a bloke who knew Noel personally and said he had a lazy outlook on life; "Why do something today, you can put off till tomorrow". But my perspective was that you can't be as successful as he's been in the music industry if you don't do the hard yards and have a workmanlike attitude. The amount of discipline and self control he must've had to stick with it after all the shit that happened with Liam and the other 3 is monumental.
Being a songwriter like Noel is a lot harder than being a guitar player
He is indeed one of the few songwriters I'd call a straight up genius. He can use the same great chords again and again again, yet make it sound a bit new every time. That and he's just a brilliant wordsmith and storyteller 🦋
That's an obvious statement. Why wouldn't writing guitar and vocals not be as difficult as just playing guitar?
But lets be honest, he can play the guitar really really good
I can shred all day couldn't dream of writing supersonic
Couldn’t agree more. Too few people realize this. You’re either born with it or you’re not.
Who ever thought about this presentation is a genius. Take my money now...
very well done, puts a great story to the guitar!
They absoltely nailed it this hits every Oasis fans emotions hard
No take mine, I was here first !
@@joelewis2717 BIG TIME
Just ordered two
this is so surreal seeing noel in that same house after all these years.

Goosebumps especially towards the end ♥️
Noel Gallagher: a national treasure.
An international treasure
This actually stirred a bit of emotion, I also feel old.
Everyone is talking about Noel and Epi (they are both absolutely cool) but look at this stunning video production quality 🔥🔥🔥hats off to the film crew
agreed.
Beautiful tribute to one of the most incredible songwritters of all time

tons of better
@@phenixreturns better than who? Lennon? The above mentioned are certainly better than Noel Gallagher, if that's who we're talking about, but Lennon is up there with the best of them.
@@phenixreturns That's just like...........your opinion, man.
@@phenixreturns Chuck Berry and Bruce Springsteen better songwriters than Noel Gallagher?!?! Jesus christ. And Elton John doesn't even write his own lyrics.
This is amazing ,people like to downplay Oasis impact but watch this video and try not to get chills if you lived in that time period.
Yes, well said. This song was massive; reminds me of being at university.
Between Don’t Look Back in Anger and Live Forever before it, these were two of the songs that made me an Oasis fan. Being 14-16 during these times was amazing. I didn’t identify with grunge. Even though being an American, I was more drawn to the care free and positive presentation of what was going on in England and the UK in those days. Whether the content of the songs had a darker moodier meaning didn’t really get to me until my 20’s! There really wasn’t an American counterpart to the Brit pop/indie movement in those days. Noel, Liam, and Oasis were definitely the gateway to all of that for me!
The time period does not play a roll for me. The song is timeless.
I did. It was fucking rubbish as is this song.
Absolutely. Word.
This video gave me chills. Great job Gibson / Epiphone and the production team making this!
'Hope.' Noel's songwriting always gives you a feeling of hope. Stunning. I was 24 in 1994 when I stood at a bar in the south of England and first heard Live Forever. My jaw dropped and continued to do so as they ripped apart the shite from the 80s and gave us all hope that the music industry would change and man, did they change it. I saw Oasis in a pub in Huddersfield in early 1994 and took my then 8 yo Daughter to see Noel in Detroit back in 2018. (We moved to Canada) In 94, Noel bought me and a mate a pint. In 2018, he popped his head out of the double doors next to the stage and handed my daughter, who was then on my shoulders, his setlist. He's grown far from that council estate in Burnage, but not ONCE has he forgotten where he came from nor those he grew up with. A national treasure and deservedly so.
I can’t tell you how happy I am that Gibson/Epiphone did this, and announced it the same day as the release of the Gibson ES-355. I knew that ES was going to be at least $6-7k, and I simply could not have afforded it. So, to see them also surprise us with a more affordable Noel Gallagher signature guitar, with arguably just as much significance in its place in Noel’s career, I jumped at the opportunity and bought one immediately.
And I’m glad I did, because both models are SOLD OUT! Thanks, Gibson/Epiphone, and Noel for doing this.
You can be the best guitar player on the planet, but not be able to write a song. What Noel does better than anyone of the last 30 years, is write songs that people love. I was at a wedding 4 weeks ago and the DJ had the usual mix of half decent tracks mixed in with cheese. Last song he played was Champagne Supernova. The whole room ended up singing along, arm in arm, at the top of their lungs. There are very few songwriters that have the ability to unite people with their music. I struggle to think of an artist who does it better than Oasis....in the UK anyway.
Well said bro 👌🌈
Commend Noel for making this guitar affordable for Oasis guitar playing fans. Lovely guitar 🎸
How much is it?... anymore than 500 nicker and it's way to much for me 😆
Genius songwriter. Noel is the man.
Great songwriter, gives a terrific interview, funny as hell and never takes himself too seriously. The last rock star!
@@dennisedinger2676 His brother is right there with him
Dead in the Water is sublime and shows he's lost. nothing in 25-30 years.
I've wanted this guitar since I first saw it in the Don't Look Back In Anger music video in 1995. Now, after more than 25 years, I finally have one, and it was well worth the wait! A seriously impressive guitar for the price, and even running clean straight into an amp, the sound is classic Oasis. Epiphone absolutely nailed this clone of Noel's iconic Riviera. Even if I couldn't play it, I would have bought it to hang on my wall. I love it!
I always loved noels rytham and lead on guitar he had his own unique style and sounded awesome. he underestimates himself as a guitar player for sure.
Love this guy. Love listening to how he tells stories.
I’m not crying at 4 am looking up Epiphone guitars you are!!! 😢🎸🔥❤️👏🤣
Everytime i watch this video,at the end ..goosbumps👑
with that guitar, he made history, he wrote a song that could be a national anthem! that's why he's my maximum idol!
🇬🇧
OMG. The smile on my face while watching that!!! My heart skipped a beat when I saw the thumbnail. Thank you Epiphone soo very much
This is gold!. Noel's Riviera signature guitar and this material. It's absolutely amazing how time flies but the Oasis feeling is still there, living inside. Thank you Epiphone, Gibson and of course thanks to The Chief. Great video.
Every time Noel releases an album I watch his interviews and they are great.
He always inspires me to listen to The Beatles.
This is one of the best campaign advertisements I've ever seen. For all the Oasis fans out there like me (and maybe for any person)... it was EPIC.
Sadly, I couldn't get mine. Sold out.
Gibson. Could you produce another thousand pieces please?
More are coming
You could get the Noel Gallagher Supernova Epiphone released in 1997, shows up quite often in guitar shops...
Don't worry, it's not a limited run and more should be available in the next few months.
This hit me in the feel box ❤️
This is perfect. An artist series is not really about interesting spec but emotional connection to your favorite music. This promotion does exactly that. Really make me want one just for memory sake.
Stunner of a song and a beauty of a guitar.
Oasis had a Beatles feel, but I never felt they sounded like them, love Don't Look Back in Anger, it's on my playlist to this day.
This was wonderful.
That brings back some memories. Nice guitar.
You guys pulled at all the right heart strings with this one. Fitting, really.
It's great to see and hear you talk again.
Beautiful guitar.
Awesome. I love this. Takes me back
Such a beautiful Guitar!
Amazing Video!!!! Such good Quality and the flashbacks to the old Music Video, fantastic!
Good to see Epiphone getting some love !
What a great video
Gorgeous Guitar
Saw the whole video with a smile on my face... Like me, you know why 😉 What a great time it was!
Crazy!!! I just had a flashback to my room in my parent’s house the first time I saw that video. Wow man!!!
Noel is genious! Love him!🎸❤
The King. Thanks for putting this together Gibson. What a treat.
I got one yesterday evening. I didn't think I'd get my hands on one. It's a beautiful guitar. It's very well put together, the electronics are good, the neck is beautifully finished. @Gibson, Great job!!
I have a Riviera with mini humbuckers and it's one of my fav guitars, hopefully I can get one of these too.
THANK YOU GIBSON TV - THIS IS IT! Cheers Noel too for getting on board...I bloody loved all of this!
I thought I had all the guitars I needed. Then, I found out about this Epiphone Noel Gallagher Riviera. This video is gorgeous. What a great way to share with friends and loved one why I need this guitar.
Nostalgia hit me hard on this one.. Time flies
Im in tears thank you noel
It's the mystery that keeps all of this alive. We love you Noel. Saw you at kenwood house few months ago. Now in Thailand playing you music In the bars. Living the dream x
I bought the Epiphone Riviera in lightblue only for Oasis. I was a big fan of the band during my teenage years.
Now I'm 33, I'm not that fan anymore and I even had to sell that guitar.
But playing the Oasis song in that Epiphone Riviera...was totally MINDBLOWING.
Still young brotha!!
This is why I love Noel Gallagher and the music of Oasis... he's not sitting there tooting his own or licking himself... he's confident enough to say that he doesn't know why or how, but all he knows is that the songs somehow happened.
Noel's not a virtuoso but he has amazing sensibility and ear for melody, which is far more important.
This actually brought a tear to my eye and I don’t care who knows it
i still have my Man City Blue Epiphone Supernova from the 00s and still LOVE it. I wonder how different these Riviera is from the Supernova (based on a Casino/Sheraton?).
He is the reason i started playing.. What a Legend.
Eres grande Noel, excelente colaboración.
Esse video clip marcou a minha infancia.Foi literalmente a melhor época da minha vida!
Love this video going back to the original house
Brilliant! Love the idea of getting Noel back to that place. Had a sunburst Epiphone Cheraton once upon a time, thanks to my love of Noel/Oasis. I loved it and played all my gigs with it, but had to sell to pay off some debts aged 19/20. Regretted it ever since!
Super talented. Super douchy..
Oh yeah! Cheers Noel for the great tunes! 😉 ✌️
I want this guitar with all my soul
greetings from Cordoba Argentina!!! Oasis fans have been waiting for a long time for the reissues of the most iconic models that it knew how to use in the 90s... now we wait for the Sheraton II
ICONIC. EPIC. NOEL IS A GENIUS.
Can't believe what I'm seeing! I have always wished Epiphone would re-release this model and here it is along with a great video, amazing!
" I'd play an E chord "
Proceeds to show E epiphone logo. Love them!
Classic Noel, classic guitar.
Noel please, come to Spain soon. Great video.
Great promo video - a clever idea. Well done Epiphone / Gibson!
What a perfect song.
What a Genius!
Legendary song, legendary guitar.
And this is why my 1st born son is named after this man…🤘🏼🤘🏼thanks for this Gibson!
Well fucking done Gibson/Epiphone, finally you hit one.
I'm crying... I love that man
Must admit its a beauty
Amazing 🤩
Wish they would get back together and tour one more time ✨✨✨
I just bought one!!!! This guitar is Primo!!!❤️😃😃😃 I am so happy with it.
I am still on the high of the new guitar purchase.
I don't know where to begin. I just don't want to put it down.
You’ve no idea how much of a kick in the nostalgia this is for me.
Actually, you almost certainly DO know.
this made a 40 year old man cry. I’m definitely getting this guitar. MAD FER IT!!
Still young brotha!!
Exelente video!!
Great video!
Aaaaargh! Super excited about this! Unbelievably great product and marketing from Gibson / Epiphone! Take my money!!!
Gotta love this dude.
MY FAVORITE BAND ALL THE TIME
Wow! This is so much freaking content for a 4 minutes and 9 seconds video. Well done, Gibson TV!!!!
yay. with the traditional headstock. nice noel!
Absolute legend
love oasis Top legend lots of love from Nepal
Love that he wasn’t even trying to sell the guitar. Was crying at the part about the drummer in the pool 😂
Fcking rock and roll still looks as young as when you first come to the mansion to make the album
Good times! 🙏🏻
Of course Noel's and Bonehead's Rivieras were made in Japan back then... they even had those fret end nibs. I used to own one of these. Maybe Epiphone should do a Elitist/Elite run...
Once again the team at Gibson TV have outdone themselves. Such a well produced video. Great job again! Love this guitar.
I just bought one mate …enjoy the residuals …and thanks
Thats a great ad. Congrats gibson
I’ve been looking for this guitar ever since I saw it in dlbia video. That exact finish was so hard to find can’t believe they’re releasing it now
