As someone who use to work for Amazon I can agree unless the product inside is damaged they will tell you to just tape the box up and take it with you.
I remember in the first few days I had a package ripped open and there was a pc graphics card in there with the box damaged. They told me it didn’t look like the product was damaged inside so take it. I know for a fact they gave me a bad review
So I’ve been working in a warehouse for a long time now, and at least here in Australia, it’s common sense that whatever product comes in with damaged packaging to the point that it may cause concern as to wether or not the product itself inside is damaged we refuse delivery. We don’t open the product or anything because the moment we open the box that’s us basically accepting the order, so we just refuse to take in any products with extensive damage to the packaging. And I also do this when receiving anything personal delivered to my house that requires a signature, if the package is damaged, then I simply don’t accept the delivery, then I go to the company I ordered from and tell them I declined the delivery as it arrived damaged and I usually have photos to send and I make sure I DO NOT SIGN that delivery document.
I work for a warehouse in America, we would 100% still deliver this. I would with no problem and look the customer in the face to say “it’s just a box, you know doing the job it was suppose to do”. To expect products not to go through anything specially when buying from another country is a dense thought.
I commend this gentleman!!! The ups driver. I work in a grocery store and do my best to help all pleasant customers. But my efforts are thwarted by management and corporate. So I've begun telling the customer the truth!
People who never worked logistics would only complain, it's about how that package was packaged! If it had no packaging it was never going to look good by the time it got there 😂 It's that simple, and the delivery guy is reaallly not going to be mishandling your package they are handing it too you personally Have some respect for how it gets there and understand it's the seller who didn't do that well
Are the seats messed up In any way tho, box doesn’t even look bad to me but could just be the way it was recorded, also if this was a signature required stop you could’ve easily not accepted it
I deliver for ups. 90 percent of messed up boxes is because they are shipped in crappy boxes. Over seas packages go through a lot. It is what it is. As far as the money that comes from the shipper not UPS. We have to collect for the shipper.
Poor driver. He is an honest man who had nothing to do with this. I had an extremely expensive package that was destroyed by UPS some time back. The notification I got literally said, "Damage Reported." UPS REFUSED to help me! They did nothing for me!! The company I ordered from was absolutely amazing beyond words. They sent me a new package immediately. They are a small business, and I spend around $600 on them monthly. I had been with them for only a few months when this incident occurred, and it's been a few years and I have been a customer since because of how amazing they were to me, when this billion dollar a year business couldn't have cared less! These poor businesses and these poor drivers who have to deal with these monsters.
Youd be another dip stick that cant read or follow directions. Its not a "surprise fee" if people read any of their shipping updates or the emails you get from ups youd already know how much and how to pay for the brokerage fees, which are charged TO YOU FROM CUSTOMS. Not from ups. Sometime ups is only in contact with the shipper not the customer, so the shipper should make you aware but they are also illiterate so they dont.
My dad worked for UPS for 30+ years as a delivery driver. 100% these guys care. And they make sure they get there safe and sound. My dad gave customers his personal cell phone number. He would answer his phone on vacation, out of state sometimes to help customers. (Business customers most likely) Unfortunately they receive them in poor conditions sometimes. And this driver is right. They get blamed. I have seen the poor delivery videos too, it’s the exception.
If they did it intentionally you can sue them for destruction of property. But being as it's usually a disgruntled worker I doubt it was intentionally done by ups the company
I get ppl being mad but packages do come like that a lot and we still have to take it regardless so you can deal with the problem because we sure as hell are not tell the ppl who ship it to do better
As a former delivery driver, what he said is 100% true. It's not the driver's fault, soo many hands have touched your package before the driver gets a hold of it!
I swear managers and supervisors preach quality to the max but when it comes down to crunch time they’re just like ehh it’s fine send it even when we know it ain’t fine
That guys is being truthful, i used to be a pre loader for the drivers and sometimes the boxes would be damaged and they tell us to just tape it, never get mad at the drivers, they do nothing but deliver
We have had the same UPS driver for a long time. He is awesome! I always make sure to have cold drinks ready for him in the summer because they don’t even let them have ac in the Texas heat. I feel so bad for them in those trucks in over 100 degree heat. He also has told me a few times things have happened that management is not efficient. Sometimes your package gets put on the wrong truck and then the next day it rides the truck again because it went around the wrong route all day the day before.
I am an ups employee responsible for loading up semi trucks that go to different states. Sadly there’s no preventing packages from being destroyed People and mostly companies order extremely wild shit so there’s constantly innocent packages like a cat stand for example, after loading it I get dozens of 30-50 pound boxes with break calipers, copy paper, ect And even though I don’t wanna destroy people stuff it’s our goal to pack the trucks tight If we damage something we turn a blind eye to it and look the other way because it was already like that before I touched it. I’ve broken many things in my time there. Also if you’re still reading this thank you but… FOR THE LOVE OF GOD STOP SENDING HEAVY BOXES OF WINE. THE BOXES ARE MADE OF PAPER TOUCHÉ AND WINE GOES EVERYWHERE
I would definitely not accept the delivery, better to return it in that condition. You always have a right to refuse the package and they’ll return it to the shipper at no cost. Rather that than finding out the content inside is broken and having to go through a complaint form with them
As a delivery driver. That guy 100% honest. These delivery companies don't give a single f! You literally have to do the most just to get your stuff undamaged and ok
Honestly, the Only people that really care's about our packages is literally the person that's usually delivering it !! Management does not care one bit, which is pathetic....
Worked for FedEx for 5 yrs home delivery and he's completely right. They don't gaf they just want packages delivered cause the owners get paid per pk delivered. FedEx home delivery is owned by contractors. I used to tell them ok but then leave it behind in the terminal cause I'm not delivering that to a customer y'all can deal with the customer.
Retired UPS and this is real. Whenever I had damaged boxes like this on my truck I would wait for the customer to show, then we would open the package together. If there was damage I would let the customer tell me if he wanted to refuse it. If they didn’t want it I would refuse it for them. Sometimes there would be no damage and they would accept the package and I would note on the delivery record that the box was damaged in case there was later found to be damage. This took more time than what was aloud. However, customers who were needing a part appreciated the extra service especially on time sensitive repairs. I was hired back in the day when most abided by Jim Casey’s motto: Service, always service. We have nothing to offer but service. Sadly most in upper management don’t know what that means or what it takes to get the job done!
This driver is being 100% honest, that's completely the culture at UPS. management doesn't care about good service anymore.

As a previous UPS warehouse supervisor, boxes end up looking like this because people on the job don’t care. They don’t get paid enough and the work environment is ass, most of your packages regardless of what it is is either thrown, stepped on or dropped. Sad
Why did you have to pay ups I’ve never payed the driver maybe the company that shipped it
Because it’s probably imported crao from China
The driver is collecting money on behalf of the shipper, drivers don’t keep your money
Doesn’t matter. Driver doesn’t have the right withhold your own property from you once the property has already been paid for. Try talking me I can’t take my already paid for package and you’ll get throat punched
@@kurtisdelonge3372 that’s a good way to end up in worse shape and still not get your package. Good luck with that plan, you either pay the fees customs charges or they send the box back plain and simple
@kurtisdelonge3372 The packages were from Japan. UPS paid the fees to get the package through customs and the buyer has to reimburse UPS before receiving the package.
Sellers are required to disclose this information when you purchase these things. This guy either didn't read everything when he ordered it or the seller broke the law.
Also, it's not your property until liability has been release to you from UPS. Any and all deliveries can be refused by UPS and you will get a full refund
It isnt workers fault for how the manufacturer ships it. A lot try to keep shit safe but no one will get hurt during a sort to stop your ish from getting crushed. Go work in a sort before blaming them.
U work at ups cause I do. Them hourlys don’t care at all ..they throw packages in trailers, make false walls and steal like crazy
Probably wasn't even the manufacturer. It was probably customs inspecting the package
Well yeah but no one blamed anyone it was just a shi situation
Actually watching the video before spouting bs worked at Amazon for years could literally just be a mistake it’s just unfortunate the company doesn’t care
@@StonedCajunIs it worth becoming a ups driver? I've herd they make 100k a year or more. I've roofed for 8 years so 10-12 shifts are ok if the money is there
Man that UPS drivers got heart man. I love to see it
driver tellin nothing but the truth. Upser here
I'm stoked the driver stood up and told the truth here.
I respect this driver for real.. due is a real life hero.. he has to put up with horrible managers who make him out to be the bad guy.. that is work culture in America.. the workers are good but the managers don't give a dam
That driver sounded like Milton from Office Space “Who took my stapler?” 😂
Ups driver is telling the truth
Ups doesn’t care about customers belongings. They care about pushing out as many packages out of the warehouse as possible.
I commend this gentleman!!! The ups driver.
I work in a grocery store and do my best to help all pleasant customers. But my efforts are thwarted by management and corporate. So I've begun telling the customer the truth!
People who never worked logistics would only complain, it's about how that package was packaged!
If it had no packaging it was never going to look good by the time it got there 😂
It's that simple, and the delivery guy is reaallly not going to be mishandling your package they are handing it too you personally
Have some respect for how it gets there and understand it's the seller who didn't do that well
Are the seats messed up In any way tho, box doesn’t even look bad to me but could just be the way it was recorded, also if this was a signature required stop you could’ve easily not accepted it
Imma fedex ground package handler and just letting yall know there are so many packages that get destroyed unintentionally from various reasons
Ya cuz they steal shyt all day everyday that's the only reason
yeah too many people touch, drop, throw, step on packages... most likely not the drivers fault
This true at ups as long as all the contents are in the box and not damaged we just tape it up and send it out
I wouldn't have cut the check and told them to send it back.
My thoughts exactly - I wouldn’t have accepted the delivery.. so crappy
Pretty sure that is what they are required to do anyways... might have changed since my buddy worked at Fed ex.
@@SaintLuke832us citizens don’t pay import customs fees only export
@user-dn4qd9zn2z um... what? All I said is they are required to send it back... didn't saying anything about paying for shit.
I'm surprised the UPS driver stopped long enough to explain that. From what I understand, their delivery rate is really their metric for job security.
some stop will take that long if he had to explain it considering he had to use a dolly for the package.
W Driver.
Ups will intentionally destroy gun parts if you order them as well. Found that out recently😢
If they did it intentionally you can sue them for destruction of property. But being as it's usually a disgruntled worker I doubt it was intentionally done by ups the company
That’s dumb as fuck. Nobody knows or cares what’s in the boxes
Thats not a thing.
what your saying is propaganda...
Went thru that this morning as a FedEx delivery driver. He’s speaking facts!
This reminded me that I needed to follow up with my UPSP claim thank you!!! They delivered my package to the WRONG HOUSE
Driver is an awesome dude and wants to do his job honestly.
Your not lying, ups does some crazy stuff sometimes. Then they act like they aren't fucking up. Lol
Poor ups driver bro. What a guy for being honest.
That driver needs a promotion
He’s %100 telling the truth 😅
That driver was so happy you were filiming so he could put their bullshit on blast
This man deserves a raise
I get ppl being mad but packages do come like that a lot and we still have to take it regardless so you can deal with the problem because we sure as hell are not tell the ppl who ship it to do better
UPS Delivery drivers are some.pf.the best people!!!
Done UPS before, the UPS warehouses are insane 😅 the workers and machine treat packages like it's fucking tennis 😂
As a UPS package handler I can confirm that that box was rolled, punched, tossed and dropped kicked 13x
Thank you for not showing his identity.
He is an honest man.
UPS driver was 100% honest with her
that's a dude
@@user--710 Ah damn. My bad.
Poor guy. Just like waiters in restaurants have to deal with people who don’t like their food. It’s not their fault!
That guys is being truthful, i used to be a pre loader for the drivers and sometimes the boxes would be damaged and they tell us to just tape it, never get mad at the drivers, they do nothing but deliver
He's not lying at all. I worked there for 6 years and that's exactly what they do.
Yeah, don’t blame the driver, I believe his story. He definitely knew some shit was gonna go down.
You notice that Katt got rewarded for outing ppl, and Kanye was punished.
Nah facts
We have had the same UPS driver for a long time. He is awesome! I always make sure to have cold drinks ready for him in the summer because they don’t even let them have ac in the Texas heat. I feel so bad for them in those trucks in over 100 degree heat. He also has told me a few times things have happened that management is not efficient. Sometimes your package gets put on the wrong truck and then the next day it rides the truck again because it went around the wrong route all day the day before.
Bro I feel that at Amazon, some shit will be just absolutely destroyed and it just makes me look bad since I’m the last person to handle it.
It’s never the drivers fault, they don’t load their own trucks. It’s the people at the terminal that move and load the packages.
UPS used to be cream of the crop, now whenever one of my packages ships through them it’s usually late
I am an ups employee responsible for loading up semi trucks that go to different states.
Sadly there’s no preventing packages from being destroyed
People and mostly companies order extremely wild shit so there’s constantly innocent packages like a cat stand for example, after loading it I get dozens of 30-50 pound boxes with break calipers, copy paper, ect
And even though I don’t wanna destroy people stuff it’s our goal to pack the trucks tight
If we damage something we turn a blind eye to it and look the other way because it was already like that before I touched it.
I’ve broken many things in my time there. Also if you’re still reading this thank you but…
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD STOP SENDING HEAVY BOXES OF WINE. THE BOXES ARE MADE OF PAPER TOUCHÉ AND WINE GOES EVERYWHERE
That driver is awesome.
I would definitely not accept the delivery, better to return it in that condition. You always have a right to refuse the package and they’ll return it to the shipper at no cost.
Rather that than finding out the content inside is broken and having to go through a complaint form with them
Very very true I’m a former truck driver and it’s embarrassing. When we receive Freight that is all busted up and we still have to take it.
👍 It’s nice to have friends, y’all. Get some!
That driver is telling you the truth man.
At $40 an hour, dude should be treating those packages like a dear family member. Guess not. 🤷♂️🤦♂️
Not all drivers make that much
thats ignorant considering he isnt the one that did that to the package. he said it in the video.
Driver is genuine and I’ve never heard of having to pay for a package at delivery I swear that’s why we pay shipping fees
I used to deal with the same crap, all management wants is packages delivered as fast as possible. Quality is not a priority
As a delivery driver. That guy 100% honest. These delivery companies don't give a single f! You literally have to do the most just to get your stuff undamaged and ok
It's despicable as hell
I wanna hug the driver
It gives the whole meaning of (don't pass it onto the next guy).
Bro i get packages from UPS everyweek on my work and there is almost always something wrong or broken.
UPS (Tears up your package). OK now you owe us money.
I used to work there when I was 18, yeahhhh we fkd boxes up on purpose
Ace Ventura kicked the mfs out of that joint right there 😂
Honestly, the Only people that really care's about our packages is literally the person that's usually delivering it !!
100% this poor driver is telling the truth. This sucks.
He’s telling the truth he doesn’t touch your shit till he’s in front of your house.
The driver is a being honest. He'd love to give you your shit and be on with his day
You can open the box and inspect it. Boxes often get destroyed in transit. If its damaged refuse delivery. Good luck
Yup I use to deal with UPS drivers and they say the exact same thing their management doesn’t know shit
The current ceo is running the company into the ground
