Excellent thanks
Very useful..I will also go for it..👍..will visit pathpavers soon
Hello sir..did you face any wobbling issue after the tubeless kit..I too have made the change through pathpavers. At low speed around 40 to 80 I face this wobbling issue. There is no problem with the tyre pressure. I am going for spoke adjustments now...lets see if this works ..if still not will go to the RE service center. Please let me know if you have anything to advise
Hi Mansoor... After the tubeless conversion I don't think you can adjust the spokes... because that would affect the the kit installed in the rim
Also...I have also switched the tyres since I had already done 13k kms ... surprisingly the wobbling is completely gone now
Is it possible to do this on the BS6 2022 version???
Which one is bar watch do you have? How to buy it
Which seat have you installed on your bike ?
Only reason I was hesitated to take twins is tube tyres but by this I think I can go a head
Is that the super meteor seat or custom job?
Hi . The stock alloy rim in the RE Interceptor is suitable for tubeless convertion ?
Yes it is... Has been working perfectly fine for me for 7,000+ kilometres.
Not just for me...2 of my other friends also got the rims converted to tubeless for their Interceptor and it's been working great for them too.
Hi.. could you please tell me from where can I but that seat ? How is the comfort level compared to stock
Hi Hemanand.... I got the seat from *Khajanchi Seats* in Delhi... I have made a detailed video regarding the same with all the details mentioned in its description as well... Please take a look: czcams.com/video/BKlwEt8fGmY/video.html
Hi bro loving your content, bought gt 650 two months back. I am loving it. But from last one week i am able to listen click click sound on my back tyre post ride. Any solution for this?
Hi Balaram.... thankyou for the kind words.
I would strongly suggest you to get it checked from the service center itself....once the service guys listen to it live...only then they would be able to find a solution.... Because I haven't faced such an issue on mine yet 🤔
i want Interceptor 650 but with alloys only. Shd i wait or go for after market alloys.. any suggestion ?
Hi Ajiram - This bike is capable of speeds of 170kmph+ and it easily does touring speeds of 110-120 all day so my sincere request would be that *Do not go for aftermarket alloys wheels* as they do not undergo any R&D or safety standards (ones that are available in the market for 650).
You can either wait for the alloy wheel version or get the spoke rims converted to tubeless the way I did (if puncture is your concern)
Hello, could you tell us here in the comment section , about pros and cons of this kit after munching so many miles. Also what about wheel Turing or wheel alignment and balancing effect on tubeless conversion kit?
Hi Himanshu.... Just like any product out there even this one has its set of pros and cons and I'll try to mention the ones that I've experienced.
Pros:
1. Well it's tubeless now...so finding a puncture guy to fix it is easy now and takes a minute
2. Comparatively less psi loss when compared to earlier when there was tube
3. This particular kit costs less than half of the popular option i.e. Outex
4. Manufacturer claims it will last for as long as the structural integrity of the rim lasts
Cons:
1. Wheel/spoke truing cannot be done post installing this kit
2. Outex is a tape hence when applied managed an exact similar weight distribution but Way2Speed is a liquid so it cannot be applied uniformly with that sort of precision.
Though I've not faced any balancing issues yet.
Apart from these you can let me know if you need to know anything specific. One of my friend also got this kit installed in his Interceptor wheels... Both the kits are going strong 👍
Hey bro
Do you still recommend this way to speed way to tubeless solution after an year
I was planning to go for aftermarket alloy wheels
Please suggest
Thanks
What if you had to replace spokes? Will the tubeless kit have to be replaced then?
Yes...since it's basically an adhesive...so if you replace the spokes then you definitely will have to replace the tubeless kit as well.
It's same for Outex-kit as well.
Royal Enfield recently wrote back to me saying that alloy wheels for the twins can be expected by February 2021. So have to wait and see
@@gamebredtv804 Cool. I thought I would get alloy wheels installed in the bike itself as delivery date for it is Feb only 😅
0.21 ..you are near my home.. malviya nagar aaye ho bhai..bataya bhi nahi 😂
I just wish this bike comes with alloys...I have read somewhere RE will come up with alloys in Feb 2021...
Agli bar Baba ka Dhaba pe saathme chai 😂
I really hope they do... because even these tubeless rims have certain limitations like you cannot do spoke adjustment.
How much cost this tubeless kit?
Are you using Himalyan windshield? Also share the online link for the tubeless kit. Thanks
Hi Arjun, yes that's the Himalayan visor that I've got installed for my Interceptor - does the job well..and mounts that hold these in place are from MK Designs India : mkdesignsindia.com/product/tall-windscreen-mount/can
The tubeless conversion kit is from Way2Speed and you can place your orders directly by contacting the seller through whatsapp... that's exactly what I did... Below is the number
Melvin - Way2Speed: +91 88258 61835
Have you had any wobbling issues after the kit installation?
Not at all....I got the spokes adjusted first and then got the tubeless kit installed.
where did you get those hand gloves from?
Those are 500-550 rupees gloves that I bought for summer city riding from Karol Bagh (Delhi)...and have surprised me with their durability...I mean they've gone through a lot over the past 2+ years (including a Leh ride) and they're still holding up really well.
This was very useful. I am from Bangalore and thinking of getting this done.
After this installation, can we adjust spoke tightening or trueing?
Even If RE gives alloys, will they exchange the rims? I don't wanna have alloys and rims both 😁. It's like we are endlessly waiting for RE to give the alloys option.
Hi Sujan... It's best if you get the spoke adjustment/truing done right before you get this kit installed... because that cannot be done after the installation.
RE will not exchange rims with alloys for sure.
And...the problem is that people who have the latest version BS-6 bike with Ceat tyres would need to get new set of tyres too if they decide to go for the alloys because these new Ceat tyres are tube-type.
RE owner problems are endless 😆
What are the tyre used after converting tube less.
I continued using the Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp after the tubeless conversion till 13k kilometres. Later I got the Ralco Speedblasters installed and still using them without any issues.
Did ur wobble issue of handlebar got resolved ?
It did not.... Really disappointed with the service centers in Delhi.... I've spoken to a guy that I know in Noida service center and I'll be taking my bike there for the same.
So, it's been six months, what are your reviews now?
Hello Pawandeep.... Yes it has been six months after getting the tubeless conversion kit installed and the overall experience has been great.
The psi loss has been much less than what I used to experience with the tubes...earlier it used to be around 5-6 psi loss in 10 days and now it is 2-3 psi loss in 15 days.
I encountered a puncture while coming to back to Delhi from Himachal which took 2 minutes and 50 rupees to repair.
I total paisa wasool product for me 👍
Where did you get your seat bro?
Hi there.... I've made a video dedicated to the seat mode I got...with all the details -
czcams.com/video/BKlwEt8fGmY/video.html
Where can I get this thing done in Hyderabad?
You can contact the Way2Speed Instagram page and they will let you know who can get this applied to your bike in Hyderabad
Is it possible to convert Ceat tube type tyres into tube less type?
No you cannot....the sidewalls of a tube type tyres aren't made to withstand a rim/alloy in absense of a tube
Are you happy with the headlight of interceptor? Or are you thinking of upgrading it?
Hi Arpit... For general use they're fine but on a completely dark single lane highway they're not that great.
I haven't installed any aux-lights because it messes up the warranty claims if any. I'm thinking of upgrading to a better LED bulb which would put less pressure on the battery too.
@@TheTwinPost yes the bulb will be better option check out night eye bulb etc! ❤
Do we need to change tyres too? Mine is 2022 model
If you've got the stock Ceat tyres then yes they need to be replaced with tubeless tyres (Tube type would be written on the sides of your Ceat tyres for reference)
@@TheTwinPostyes I have stock tyres then I guess I should opt for re alloys with tubeless tyres, it is costing me around 27+ for both front and rear
@@TheTwinPost yes and reliable too but I love spokes more . I think I will need to switch between spokes and alloys frequently
Hello!
Great info, humko tube tyre nai lagaana padega na matlab?
But abhi jo RE provide karrahi hai that is of ceat which is tube. So any options on tyres to change? Like pirelli or anyother? To customise it?
Hi Aditya.... There are few tubeless tyres that you can go with...
Timsun - TS659, TS697, TS822
Ralco - Speedblaster
Pirelli - Phantom Sports comp, Scorpion Trail, Demon Sport
Michelin - Road Classic
@@TheTwinPost They all are multi purpose tyres or only tarmac and are they H GRADE ?
Btw do they all give good grip during corners while touring?
And how are your tyres holding up after you have put your kit?
Ralco and most of the Timsun ones I've mentioned are all 'P' rated tyres and only the TS-697 that too the rear one (130/70 18) are 'S' rated.
Only Timsun TS660 is H-rated and is a totally tarmac biased tyre.
Talking about Pirellis...all the three options are H rated... And provide decent grip on long sweeping decently fast curves.
After the tubeless conversion tyres have performed in no different way than before... psi loss is much less than before and had a puncture too during one the long rides which took literally 2 minutes to fix.
@@TheTwinPost cool!
What is your take on outex does it also need tubeless tyres? Or will it be good on ceats? If i do it on outex?
Outex and any other kit which negates the use of tubes requires tubeless tyres... Tube tyres like Ceat ones cannot be used without the tubes.
What windshield are you using?
@@BlackdogADV I've provided all the required details here
czcams.com/video/xMn-FAnmBys/video.htmlfeature=shared
Sir way 2 speed tubeless conversion is fine till now?
Working absolutely fine for the past 8 months now....in these 8 months I've encountered 2 punctures which took a minute to fix - Also I've changed the stock Pirelli tyres after completing 13k kilometres and the tubeless kit is working fine with the new tyres as well.
I think you have a fair bit of experience of this kit now, Did you face any issues after 1 year I guess, I am thinking to install it
Hi Sanket.... I along with 2 of my other friends have this kit installed in their Interceptor bikes and they're happy with it.
It's been few thousand kilometres I can happily say that it works like a charm with no unusual psi loss.
Good choice of not going with Formula X.
I installed it on my bike a couple of weeks ago and ended up getting a puncture yesterday, even though I had followed every step mentioned by them.
Luckily I was in city limits with a mechanic just 500m away.
I'm now considering a tubeless conversion to prevent such a thing from happening again.
Is there much of a difference between Outex and Way2Speed?
I could stretch my budget a bit if Outex is good enough, but spending almost additional 10k is not worth it if result is the same.
Hi buddy... 2 of my friends have gone with Formula-X option and I'm going to take a screenshot of your comment and show it to them so that they can know there's an ugly side of it as well.
The only difference between Outex and Way2Speed kit is that Outex is a tape and Way2Speed is a solution hence the weight distribution of a tape would always be better than that of a liquid pasted around the rim.
But....can i feel any dis-balance because of it - Absolutely NO.
It's absolutely fine and I've done 160 too after installing this kit and haven't faced any issues at all. Infact earlier with the tube i used to get the air pressure checked every other week and there used to be a 5-7 psi drop in front and rear but after getting the Way2Speed this psi drop has gone down to hardly 1-2 psi.
I would strongly suggest the Way2Speed kit after my personal experience... Usability viseI just don't see that additional 10k to be worth for Outex.
@@TheTwinPost Your detailed explanation is much appreciated. Thank you :)
I hope your friends too get the conversion done.
A punctured Interceptor in a deserted place is the last thing we would want to have lol.
Update - I spoke to Melvin and it seems I can't get a tubeless conversion done on my Interceptor, nor can any of the newer Interceptors, since they now come with CEAT tube type tyre.
That's one of the most ridiculous things I've come to known as well....on the flip side for me I was planning to get the new Ceat Tyres for my Interceptor after a couple of thousand kilometres (I've done 11k+) because those tyres are tube type and my rims are tubeless.. so if I choose those tyres I'll have to use tube in them 🤦
I don't know what was RE thinking.... So disappointed.
Hi, outex kit mainly constitutes of two tapes if I'm not mistaken, a base tape and the main tape that seals the holes in the rim where the spokes are anchored! The sealant tape makes those openings completely air tight and the air pressure in the tyres keeps the tape pushed flush against the rims inner surface thus maintaining this seal! Its a proven method works well, will need some upkeep if you get your spokes tightened when you balance the wheel! Way2speed seems like any generic silicon sealant that is applied in copious amounts to form a layer on the inner side of the rim! If you ask me its these guys that are over charging for what is actually 2 silicon tubes and a gun dispenser!
Where did you buy this kit? Bro
Hello Arun.... I ordered this kit from Way2Speed. You can contact them through their official instagram I'd: instagram.com/p/CC8OzfXp31A/?
Brother. Is Way2speed holding good? Was Pathpavers installation satisfactory?
Or shall I look at the alternatives?
For me Way2Speed has been amazing....it has held up really well.... experienced one puncture during my last long ride and hardly took 2 minutes to get it fixed.
My experience at Pathpavers was really good....'Piyush' (the owner) spoke to me the same way he did to other 1250GS owners who were there....and he knows his stuff very well.
@@TheTwinPost Saw your Google review on the Pathpavers Google listing.
Do they keep stock of Way2speed kit or we have to take it with ourselves?
No they don't have stock of the kit....they only have stock of Outex kit which is considerably expensive.
For Way2Speed kit I ordered it directly from Way2Speed's Instagram account as their watsapp number is meantioned there.
Way2Speed suggested Pathpavers to me for installation.
Bro what’s the disadvantage of the kit??……is there any problem while spoke alignment or something??
You're on point right there... Once you get this kit or even the Outex kit installed - you cannot get the spokes adjusted (truing). If you want to get the spokes adjusted then this kit will have to be installed all over again
@@TheTwinPost thanks for the reply bro…..than this means, we have to wait for RE to release their alloy wheels 🥲
Alloys is the permanent solution. What makes me even more angry is the launch of new Classic350... They launched it with 2 choices of alloy wheels as an accessory as well.... But no alloys for the 650 series.. disappointed.
How are your tyres holding up? The kit doing its job well? Thanks.
Hi Mithun... Tyres are doing their job well.... I've got accustomed to their ride feel now. The tubeless kit has been doing its job flawlessly for the past 10 months.
@@TheTwinPost what's the recommended air pressure PSI after tubeless conversion?
I've kept the PSI as it is...which is -
If riding alone
Front: 32
Rear: 36
If riding with a pillion then:
Front : 33
Rear: 37-38
Sir, does that kit still work for you?
It's been 7 months ...
Does it sustain..
It's working absolutely fine... I've faced a puncture as well which took a minute to fix.
How's it holding up.....how much mileage
Hi Siddharth....I've clocked almost 2k kilometres since the tubeless conversion and there has been no PSI loss to talk about.
I encountered one puncture in my rear tyre while I was on a ride and it took 2-3 minutes to get it repaired. It's a very good product.
The manufacturer has told me that it would work as long as the structural integrity of the rims are intact.
@@TheTwinPost thanks for the reply....I am also waiting for the RE alloys ..since ages...this option seems practical.also it's a joy to watch your uploads...god speed buddy
Is this only for pirelli tyres or works with the new ceat tyres ?
Hi Gaurav....This would not work with the current Ceat tyres that are offered with the 650 twins because they are tube-type tyres....unlike the Pirellis which were tubeless.
@@TheTwinPost ok since we are not getting pirelli tyres .. then what to do ! According to me the next best thing the ceat ones cuz it's company certified ! ?
My tyres wore out after 11k .I have ralco on but it's pretty bad !
With the Ceat tyres you have to use tube.... You'll have to switch to tubeless tyres to get the spoke rims converted to tubeless or use alloy wheels without tubes.
Ralco is basically for trail riding and medium offroads.
Are Ralco tyres that bad....? What exactly do you dislike about them...? Just curious.
@@TheTwinPost I haven't done off road yet but .. it was very hard to find the tyres of interceptor untill now since ceat came , ralco is not soft compound so it doesn't break as good as the old ones it skids sometime I kind of lost a lil confidence that's actually not a very big problem u get used to it ! But one thing I hate is it has reduced the acceleration and feels lagy , I miss that insane torqy feel. It's still very fast but not like before ! But anyway how did ur tubeless kit stack up ! Is it still going ?
Oh I get it.... That's bad.
Tubeless kit on my bike has been really good and actually my tyres used to loose pressure more when they were running with tubes..after going tubeless there's like 2psi loss in about 18-20 days. I encountered a puncture as well which took just a couple of minutes to get repaired... totally worth the money I spent.
I've completed 13k kilometres now and I'll be switching to new set of tyres soon....they will be tubeless tyres so can't go for Ceat.
I've spoken to few Timsun dealers so let's see how that goes
Bro do u expect alloys for 650 twins anytime soon?
I recentl saw a test bike (RE650) with alloy wheels...so I do think it's coming but can't say when though
@@TheTwinPost i enquired in showroom, they have an alternative to formulax which can be installed during delivery. Any reviews on that part?
@@TheTwinPost even that meteor is coming with alloys man. 650 twins are getting shit and having to spend tons of time and money.

Hi Amrit, I've just completed a 700 kms round trip of Delhi - Uttarakhand - Delhi after getting this done.
I rode for hours on straight highways, hills and some extremely bad patches of roads for 3 days. Didn't face any issue whatsoever.
Will post updates of the same 👍
There is an Engineer at Chandigarh who charges just Rs. 4000/- and permanently seals the spoke wheels. If any minor balancing is required then that also he do self.
Also he is our Interceptor bikers group Admin and proud owner of Interceptor 650.
I also planning for interceptor hesitating bcoz of tube tyres but after watching your videos my doubt clear
