I’m also currently rebuilding a kx500 motor & this video helped me out a lot, thanks man.
aye finally uploaded nice! just relized nice thing bout making the videos is you wont forget how to put it back together
100% man it helps a ton. I can just go back and watch again for a reference 👍
Glad you got that no homo in there haha. Enjoying the series so far man, looking forward to seeing how it turns out 👊
It just seemed fitting in that moment haha. Glad you are enjoying it! Will be incredible when it is finished for sure 👊
Need to see the assembly video
amazing music as always... killer track! 0:46
Appreciate that. Today was a rough one. This comment made me feel better. Thank you
👍👍👍💙
Any updates? This video is great.
It’s actually quite sad that all the 500 2 strokes were discontinued. At least KTM and Husqvarna still make the 300s from what I have heard those are some gnarly rides.
Hey what’s up? No more Kx videos?
Nice job! Have you found clutch basket and that third gear yet?
Not yet, the 3rd gear may be impossible but the basket I should be able to find
Heck yeah stoked for another build Mike. Any plans to get another 450 for moto?
Appreciate that a lot. Man I wish I could ride moto but my knee is forever trashed now after 3 acl replacements, also I have no extra money for another bike unfortunately. Going to have to work with what I got now.
@@FULLTHROTTLEFILMZ Man you sound just like all my friends who quit riding haha. That sucks. Hope you can get another one in the future
@@FULLTHROTTLEFILMZ Man that sucks. I remember when my dad used to ride with me all the time. Then he tore his acl. Because of that he can't ride anymore and whent from having a r1 as a daily driver to a harley soft tail.

Starting to think there is a market for small scale reproductions of certain motorbike parts that are out of stock on all the parts websites and are probably discontinued. (Enter your e-mail to be notified when it's back in stock.) Spoiler: It's never coming back in stock. Those legendary bikes that will always have someone willing to rebuild them will eventually run out of parts.
Anyways, top video, will be following the build, do you have any plans on what to do with it or is it going back in a Kawasaki frame?
Absolutely man I found someone who makes the gears new but they are like 250 usd each! Crazy expensive. Parts are almost out already. Appreciate it man! Its going back in the original frame with a more modern front end
@@FULLTHROTTLEFILMZ That's a pricey gear. If you have access to a lathe gears can be cut on it using gear cutters or even homemade tooling for the tooth shape and a dividing head (or piece of paper printed out with the correct markings) to rotate a round blank slug an exact number of degrees to cut each tooth. Then you add in any face features and harden? (if required) with fire and quench. Easy for smoothbore gears. Not sure how you would cut splines in the bore if you needed to though. Probably need a mill for that.
RIP clutches and transmissions
Clutch is dead. Trans is ok, just may need 3rd gear replaced or we may just run it.
