This another of Dan’s songs that I like it more the more I hear it. I’m one of those over 60 who is falling more in love with metal every day.
This song was so overplayed on the radio that I would cringe when it came on. Celine is a fantastic singer. Dan's version is like a whole new song and I love it.

Céline's version definitely had it's place and time but unlike you, most of us were tired of it, as was Dan. He decided to take it from a "weepy song" to a "battle anthem". As you mentioned, the whole vibe of the song is changed, that was the intention. This is an outstanding performance from Dan and Garret just awesome. Dan’s vision is amazing,I can’t think of anyone else who could make this work so well. His enthusiasm shines through and the power of his voice is phenomenal. Garret’s guitar playing is out of this world and they sound outstanding together.

Great way to wake up! I love everything about this - the world's most gorgeous, versatile, and powerful voice, the smiles, the energy, and the fabulous guitar work. This is the second time he's titled a video with "metal guys" or "metal musicians" rather than just his name. Five years ago if someone had told me I would like metal, I would have laughed and scorned the notion. Then along came Dan Vasc into my life! Now I listen to his music again and again. Gorgeous voice, one of the two best I’ve ever heard, and I love the guitar. I like Dan’s version of My Heart Will Go On better than Celine’s! Can’t believe I said that. Thank you for your good reaction. You have a way about you that is quite likeable, soft spoken.😮
And thus... all of a sudden what was known to be a downer song, in the skillful hands of musician Dan, becomes an upper song, vibrant with energy and joy, sheer speed and uplifting emotion, with clever yet balanced virtuosity in the mix. And all of that does not even begin to mention the vocal excellence. Shout out to the instrumentalists as well. It is starting to look bleak for mainstream media pop 'artists' that depend on auto tune.

You captured Dan perfectly! The only thing that I'll add is that Dan has said that he won't cover a song unless he likes it. Because he loves to sing and because he chooses songs that he enjoys, we - the lucky audience - get a great performance from him every single time.
As for Garrett, Dan announced on this week's Tuesday Night Main Event, on Geeks+Gamers' channel, that Garrett will be the guitarist for the original music he's working on with Eric July, a member of Backwordz and founder/owner of Rippaverse Comics. No release date given yet, but this project will be absolutely amazing!

I agree with you about Dan and how he can channel such exceptional enjoyment and feeling into his music. You can hear, see, and feel the song through his talents and abilities. Dan is such a remarkable and brilliant singer and also has a gift for making any song go from great to sensational. Also its a gift from Dan that we've been introduced to so many incredible musicians - in this case Garrett. And finally his sense of humor rings through in each video. I loved your point about part of Dan's appeal was how much he loved singing and performing. That is so true and it is true for all forms of entertainment. Some of my favorite comedians get so wrapped up in the routines they start ad libbing which is sometimes even funnier than their planned material. I would like to suggest to you the band The Warning... They are 3 Mexican sisters from Monterrey who, although very young, have already completed 10 years of career, recorded 3 phenomenal albums... They were chosen as the best Live Band of 2023, the drummer Paulina Villarreal won 2 awards as best rock drummer, the bassist who has just turned 19 is a phenomenon rarely seen in the history of rock. Vocalist and guitarist Daniela Villarreal is incredible.. There are 3 young people on stage who sound better than many bands with 5 male members. 3 talents worth 9... Dan Vasc is an absurd talent and by an incredible coincidence he was born in the same city where I grew up. One of his aunts studied with me but I never met him in person.

I love everything Dan does. But i have to say this isn’t my favorite mix. Seems like his voice got overpowered with the drums and guitar in a couple of places. I like when his voice is front and center. That’s probably not a very musical opinion. Still I love it.❤

Dan actually did do a lot of the background instruments on his computer. He has some “teasers” on “X”…maybe 5 of them over the course of a month spent working on it.
