Makes a huge difference to the whole sound and look of a van.
Yeah loads better look a lot smarter 👌🏻
The best video on carpeting your van, extreme detail and no silly time lapses
Thanks fella 👌🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
This has to be one of the most informative and easy-to-understand videos on youtube. Thanks for sharing.

Not a problem, thanks for watching 👌🏻
Just fitted my insulation and carpeting over the weekend and would just like to say thank you for the soldering iron tip! Saved me loads of time. Keep up the great work mate 😎👍🏻
Thanks. Not a problem, glad it helped.
@@tomtdubz 2 years later and the soldering iron trick saved me a massive headache thanks bro!
genius i love this option carpet it is.
Really nice quality carpet. It’s from Harrison trim supplies. Thanks for watching
Cracking job Tom 👍🏻👌🏻
Thanks fella 👌🏻
Thanks for the video, just carpeted my caddy and this helped before I started.
Thanks for watching, glad it helped. 👌🏻
Top work, you make it look easy!
Thanks 😊
I did the soldering iron trick on my panels - SO much easier than trying to cut the holes out with a knife
Works an absolute treat👌🏻🤙🏻so much easier that trying to cut, poke, fiddle the clips in 👌🏻
👍😊
Thanks 👌🏻
Very nice job done Tom!😊👍. Don't know where you live but there's a good van meet coming up in Oswestry on 28th June. Quite a few youtubers will be there, hope you can come.
That would be great can u send me some more details bud 👌🏻
@@tomtdubzThats Great! Look up dubventures. They are sorting it out hopefully on that date. Will now more nearer the time from there instragram. Cheers😊👍
Decent 👌🏻
super boulot, peut être dommage pour les attaches visibles des panneaux, alors qu'ils en existent des invisibles et aussi ne pas avoir mis les panneaux bois
👌🏻 thanks, was what the guy wanted
Great vid. I'm going to be doing my t5 soon. Harrisons list 3 types of lining carpet, which one do you recommend for a beginner to fit? cheers
Thanks, if it’s your first go the easyliner is great to use it’s more stretchy but is a bit thinner than the veltrim. Veltrim is great too but a little harder to use. Either of these styles is great for first timers to use. Personally I would use the veltrim and start with the panels build up some confidence 👌🏻👊🏻✅🎥
I've got a blower unit in the rear of mine, can kitchen units still be fitted with this in place. I thought it would be good to keep as rear wardrobe would have its own drying room and be hidden inside the cabinet if that would work?
That would, that’s a great idea 👌🏻👌🏻
Nice job Tom, was it difficult to carpet around the driver side rear window, my Kombi doesn’t have any trim down the sides so not sure how to finish the edge, thanks for the vid 👍
Yeah didn’t add that bit in.. I cut the carpet about 5 mm from the edge of the window then using the thinest trim tool I had I was able to tuck the carpet in the gap between the metal and glass...
T Dubz thanks Tom, I thought there may of been some sort of plastic trim that I needed to get, looks tricky! I’ll get the carpet ordered today and crack on 🤘🏼
How long did it take to do each side??
Keep the videos coming 😀👍
Honestly to just carpet and cut etc about an hour but with filming and set up extra all day lol 😂
Did you sound deaden / insulate under the Kombi flooring?
Not yet, not sure what the floor is going to be like yet 👌🏻
T Dubz Would it be worth using anything underneath factory Kombi flooring if that stays? It’s quite thick and spongy anyway so maybe has some sound and/or insulating properties?
@@LeedsJimbo82 I put 2mm silent coat under the mat ,,, was pain to do with all the ridges in the flooring but worth the effort
Good job Tom just a quick one did you find it easier using a hook blade or standard Stanley blade to cut carpet or do you think a razor blade would be better cheers mate
Good video m8 how much 4 way streach carpet did u use
Thanks, I used around 8m roll for all the metal work and for the boards and trims etc used roughly another 8m including stuff left for the roof 👌🏻
Does the insulation trap water.....my t5 had fibre glass in and I now have rust at base of my doors
No it’s highly recommend I’ve got the same in my van and will be putting it in my next too
Which side do you put to the metal work. Fluffy side or normal side of carpet
The flatter side tends to be the slide you stick.. the fluffy side is the side on show.. 👌🏻
T Dubz thanks
Dont ever ever do it like this guy. Always wear a respirator gloves and longsleeve . Dichloromethane is no joke.
