    I did the soldering iron trick on my panels - SO much easier than trying to cut the holes out with a knife

    Great vid. I'm going to be doing my t5 soon. Harrisons list 3 types of lining carpet, which one do you recommend for a beginner to fit? cheers

    • @tomtdubz
      @tomtdubz  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks, if it’s your first go the easyliner is great to use it’s more stretchy but is a bit thinner than the veltrim. Veltrim is great too but a little harder to use. Either of these styles is great for first timers to use. Personally I would use the veltrim and start with the panels build up some confidence 👌🏻👊🏻✅🎥

    I've got a blower unit in the rear of mine, can kitchen units still be fitted with this in place. I thought it would be good to keep as rear wardrobe would have its own drying room and be hidden inside the cabinet if that would work?

    • @tomtdubz

    Nice job Tom, was it difficult to carpet around the driver side rear window, my Kombi doesn’t have any trim down the sides so not sure how to finish the edge, thanks for the vid 👍

    • @tomtdubz
      @tomtdubz  Před 4 lety +2

      Yeah didn’t add that bit in.. I cut the carpet about 5 mm from the edge of the window then using the thinest trim tool I had I was able to tuck the carpet in the gap between the metal and glass...

    • @andrewmantle6719
      @andrewmantle6719 Před 4 lety

      T Dubz thanks Tom, I thought there may of been some sort of plastic trim that I needed to get, looks tricky! I’ll get the carpet ordered today and crack on 🤘🏼

    • @tomtdubz

      @LeedsJimbo82 Před 4 lety

      T Dubz Would it be worth using anything underneath factory Kombi flooring if that stays? It’s quite thick and spongy anyway so maybe has some sound and/or insulating properties?
