Beautiful if not better than Lucia micarelli and Chris Botti...i enjoyed this version more and the violin sound was more richer and more passionate than that of the other two mentioned...bravo kudos to M. Grinjak and also to S. Milstein....beautiful well done the both of you!!!

It's not 'Chris Botti's' Emmanuel, although he IS copying Chris Botti and having the violinist copying Caroline Campbell. The piece 'Emmanuel' was written by Michel Colombier upon the death of his young son and is on his albums 'Wings' and 'Dreams'. First he had Toots Thielemans play it on Chromatic harmonica with pianist Fred Hersch. Chris Botti has adapted it to his own trumpet and plays it as his signature piece. This is a copy of Chris's style, not quite with his finesse and the muted trumpet. Not a bad rendering, but both Toots and Botti's versions touch the heart so much more.
