I agree. I think the red eyes w/ slit pupils and the whisker marks looking more feral was the way to go. Way easier to draw/animate, too.
His later forms got.... a little to busy with their designs. I personally think the KCM1 form should have been red, and the KCM2 shouldn't have given him a big coat, but 9 chakra tails while staying red.
Should've keep the slit pupils tbh. KCM mode look lame, it look like he's wearing a onesies.

Something I love about the older transformations In particularly is the sheer force of nature they exude.
Whether it’s a natural manipulation of wind or just pure aura. Seeing Naruto dispel or fracture/break jutsu (like haku’s mirrors or blasting away karenbana and her petals) is just chef’s kiss.

I always assumed he's just creating shockwaves by moving fast. He was able to hurt giant snake summons, so he has the force needed. Nonetheless, it was always a sight to see.

Honestly I think the later transformations and eventual Kurama stuff kind of left that behind. I feel like baryon mode sadly went back to this style of naruto transformation and its the last time we will ever see something like it.
All these years later, and I can't get over how Naruto is moving so fast across the water, that the wake he's kicking up takes a little to catch up with him.
Such a little detail that adds so much.

Personally, I prefer the Japanese version. The voice tone hits different. Not sure if you agree. Check it out if you can.

My favorite is the first one just because of nostalgia but dang this one really has the best animation out of every Naruto movie, they went all out with this one
I just really want to point out that this movie properly gave Lee the W he deserves
Sad too see they’re going more and more minimalist with the new clothing designs, always loved how modern and tactical yet over the top and loud Naruto’s original jacket is.
I personally prefer this design over his OG manga/anime design. This one is a fit you could rock in real life lol.

This was my favorite part of the movie
I recently rewatched all of the first series and Shippuden.
One thing I definitely noticed is that the first shows first like 100 episodes were tense, and full suspense.
I distinctly remember Zabuza being a big deal and the show makes it so but the Shippuden definitely dials back the suspense after the Garra rescue arc. Then it picks up all over the place.
They put all suspense on the Akatsuki only for it to be swallowed whole by Toby. Bye bye suspense.
Yeah that's why the first series is infinitely better. I have no idea how they butchered shippuden. Zabuza is the best villian imo.
