Wow! I thought it was going to sound awkward with Tom Jones, known to me for powerful pop bangers, but he toned it tender for this sweet ballad.! He's got great soul! And Denise William's voice is like a beautiful butterfly flying around a pristine waterfall. Who is today's Denise Williams?
…beautiful…both sang stellar…she had to bring her register down a bit..as Tom’s voice is not as strong as Johnny Mathis who sings it originally…but this was still beautiful…!!!
My fav version was the Johnny Mathis one, but I think these too had better chemistry. Makes a lot of sense though, as Johnny is gay, so was harder to put on the same level of romantic chemistry haha!
As great a singer as Tom Jones is, I don't like this weak tea version of this song, nor do I like Denise Williams sqeeky voice, it all sounds VERY karaoke in style & arrangement. this is a corny yet well written song, that because of the choices made at time, belongs to Mathis & Williams. But a better choice for a duet could have been say...Luthor Vandross (r.i.p) & Vanessa Williams or Diana Ross.
I love the original version, but I adore this version so much! Tom & Denice sound so good together-their voices blend so well!
That was the song back in the day!!
Dennise Williams voice is very enchanted when mix with Tom Jones❤
Tom Jones did a very, very good job!!!
Beautiful duet, I love Sir Tom Jones forever ♥

I like this version as well Tom and Denise have song chemistry together and that’s what makes it works! Great job to the duo!
Tom did a fabulous job of Johnny’s part.
Denise's voice 😍
Beautiful!!!!!!!!
Do it Deniece!!! Beautiful voice!!!!❤💯
Beautiful!!!
I like this version as well. Denise and Tom have song chemistry together and that’s ingredient what makes the song works for the duo!
Sir Tom Jones, Engelbert and Denise…… my dream
❤
There is a DEFINITE chemistry between these two that makes the performance just awesome!
I like their version, they slowed it down but it’s still beautiful! 😎😎😎😎😎
🌹🥂 somewhere a long time ago in a land far away😪😪😪😪😪❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🌹🥂 Simply Beautiful🥳❤Damm😏
Real chemistry there
The duet with Johnny Mathis was better💯
Strong voices👏👏👏 Thomas the best❤
Johnny was all about himself. His handlers would not let her be the star she was .. too bad..Tom let her shine!!
Denice was a most important Singer in your time ....In my simple opinion a voice .........
This song is fabulous. They did a wonderful job together. Although I am partial to the original with Johnny Mathis..
2023 ❤
Que canción tan bella,me ha acompañado toda mi vida!
Tom knew he was a sexy mofo and that's coming from a Black Woman!
Excelent..!!
Wow
I like how you can really see her face in this video
Preciosa versión...me encantó!❤️❤️❤️.

I haven't seen a duet of Tom with a female where there wasn't chemistry. He looks and touches
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Fantástico dúo.

Que lindo 👏👏👏🇧🇷🌷
I agree 100%
Tom Jones voice not bad
Essa música fica bonita ela com Johnny mathis.é simplesmente incomparável
CONCORDO ela com o john mathis e o perfeito dueto
Gostei mais da versão em ela canta com Johnny mathis:
🥰🥰🥰
Johnny Mathis has a much more silky smooth voice that just worked best for this song 🙂
Whatever happened 2 her?
No , Johnny does it the best!!
I always understood the lyrics to be "the kids are gone".
What I'm reading now is that it was the "kicks" are gone.
Yikes.
No Tom Jones for me. This song needs to be sung by Denise Williams and Johnny Mathis.

I don't understand
@@mikeouf Sorry about that...it was the wrong song
I like sir Tom but this song doesn’t suit him …..the master is Johnny Mathis for this duet

Does not work for me... their voices in NO way compliment one another...it happens!!?
