    If you experience freezing for the camera feed when you add your camera source in OBS, you will most likely need to purchase an expansion USB PCI-E cards, as a lot of motherboards dont play well with the CamLink.

    So it doesn’t overheat like everyone says, if you’re just using it with the camlink to stream right? And what is a dummy battery lol? And does it come with the camera?

    Using this camera with Camlink will create a video delay in OBS? I'm asking because I have a Hero Pro 7, and there is a video delay of 2 to 3 secs. Also, the FPS even set at 60 looks like a 20 FPS in OBS

    Can you substitute the Elgato Game Capture HD S+ for a Elgato Cam Link for youtube channel video's without gaming? The Cam Link has been sold out for sometime and those that are available are 400+ USD.
    If so before making an investment I want to make sure I am current to use this. Effectively I would need to purchase a micro HDMI to HDMI cable (A5100 to Capture Card), USB C power adapter (power the unit and prevent me from having a USB C to 3.0 cable) to power this unit, and a HDMI to USB 3.0 (Capture Card to iMac). I know that sounds a lot but if I can score one for 200 that's still cheaper than the 400+ for the Cam Link 4K (with a A5100 it would only ever get 1080p which a okay). Thanks for the future assist.

      you can use any capture card for a camera. As long as it has a hdmi input. Make sure its atleast 1080p30fps or 1080p60fps.

    Why does the combination of the Sony A5100 and Camlink 4K cause a 2015 15" MacBook Pro's CPU to run high? Rhe fans get so loud so that they are picked up by the microphone. The settings are as suggested here and elsewhere. I've emailed and tweeted at Elgato but they're not replying... maybe it is a known issue they can't fix?

    • @VicariousxD
      @VicariousxD Před rokem

      Maybe try different video formats supported by camlink. The UVC drivers for mac aren't the best and doesn't use gpu to decode h.264 video format provided by elgato. Try using nv12.

      @@mikehillproject I am not even using a headset. Why would I?
      This horrible noise ("music") has just nothing to do with the product, so annoy the viewers with it?
      Do you play music during your meetings at work? No? That's exactly the same thing.
