His biggest worry? that he'll disappoint his parents -
He sang this song on his digital concert in January 2021 during the pandemic. He had to cancel his tour and did this concert for his Dears/fans. That’s why there was no audiende to be seen or heard.
SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione.
SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time.

Here you can hear a large part of fhis vocal range, as well as an incredibly awesome Kazakh instrument. The Kobys. The man who often plays the kobys in Dimash’s performances is the best on this instrument and a good friend of Dimash. His name is Olzhas Qurmanbek. Stranger is one of my absolute favorite songs. I get goosebumps every time I hear it.

Dimash is a cross-genre artist, meaning he sings whatever he wants whenever he wants, from opera to pop and everything in between. He has been trained in classical voice, pop and jazz. He also sings rock, ethnic traditional and even does some rap in certain songs. Dimash has music in his veins. There is no artist like him in the world.

It’s not enough to read your comments for info and dear support. Read in Wikipedia, the closest to the truth on this voice of a century that paid his dues and is still paying his dues. We’re from America. Dimash has fan clubs of the dears in 140 countries and only performed once in America in NYC. He is and has toured and performed all over everywhere else. He was treated to good by American judges on a show. We think we’re gods gift to the world in music but here we have the greatest that doesn’t necessarily need us for his success in the world and the top star on you tube.

Dimash performed this on the Chinese show "The Singer" (or "I Am Singer") in 2017 and BLEW. CHINA. AWAY. Immediately an overnight sensation. He needed bodyguards the day after the episode aired. That's where his journey began outside of his own country. (and Russia)

This Digital Show was done after his live concerts were cancelled because of Covid so as not to disappoint his fans (Dears) and yo raise money for the Covid cause. the other singers you mentioned, yes, they are great and amzing singers, but then, there"s Dimash...totally on a league of his own, a musical genius and phenomenon, sings in 10+ languages in low and high and all registers, plays 6 musical instruments, sings in mutiple genres (pop, classical, jazz, etc and even raps) and is a master composer as well....c'mon, who among those other artists you mentioned can do even half of what Dimash is capable of in terms of musicality? He is the best, GOAT, beyond amazing and incomparable,...a Phenomenon! 💜💜💜
Dimash is not a Martian but there is an artist who is from Mars. Hua Chenyu is one of the biggest artists in China and rightly so. If you want to do a reaction to him try God Tree official Mars concert 2023 go to hua chenyu english subs to find the video, sorry for not supplying a link. Dimash and HuaHua are my favourite artists, so accomplished and such beautiful human beings ❤🙏

This is my all time favorite version of SOS. (Mind you there are elements in all the SOS versions that I love)
I especially love this version because of the stronger instrumental mix plus his emphasis on his lower range. I feel this SOS/2021 gives a strong rock vibe. Visuals are amazing too. Ilya is so cute with that dramatic tamborine percussion move😂🥹😂
Please remember to turn on the CC's so you can understand what the song is about. Dimash often chooses octave/vocal techniques based on lyrics. 😎 SOS not only demo's 3.5 octaves in 1 song but Dimash also transitions smooth as silk from Chest, Head and Mixed voices through out the song.
Please consider doing Dimash's cover of Lionel Ritchie "Hello" in english which he truly makes his own or All by myself/Bastau. Both will amaze you.
