the lights on the front of the xb43 is my favourite part taking it out would be a downgrade for me
The 43 is a nice looking speaker, I got another one instead of buying a hifi to get a stereo image in my living room and they look cool standing upright, placed far apart.. about 12 feet.. they produce an acceptable stereo sound if you are not too picky and if they are crashing the price on them I would have to say if you can get two XB43s for 200bucks you are getting a very decent stereo sound at home AND a two rugged outdoor speakers!.. VALUE FOR MONEY.

I got XG300 two weeks ago. Clearance $99!. What a bargain! Sounds great in real life. I always avoided bluetooh. I used aux or rca inputs. I have to say Sony's LDAC is legit, it holds 30 to 75% more data, and more data gives you the extra music that is usally lost. Amazing.
just bought a second Sony XB43 to run as a stereo pair with my Sony X950H tv and much say amazing .....but what Sony needs to do is make a wireless subwoofer that compatible with party connect as well as bring Dolby Atmos to the table considering that format has enough for 64 channels of audio thats would be amazing if that happens eventually. 🇨🇦😉🍿🍀

Im glad that I didn't have this problem with the SRS xb 43 but last week I was on the ocean in a boat and a wave that was bigger than the boat came and turned my boat down under and so im must by a new speaker and I don't know if I should by the xg 300

I have de XB43 and is a great speakers I love and when you enhanced it with the equalizer ufff is awesome that XB300 looks great the only thing Sony missed it was the word SONY on both sides I would love it much more
Just got an XB43 for 90.00 awesome speaker I guess the XB LINE IS GONE I was waiting on a XB 44 lol nice video I have an XE 200 coming but I like the lights not many companies do it.

On the Sony xb 43 can you actually feel the bass or not
I have a xb43 and the sides of the radiator woofers are the handle to carry multiple at a time
They both sound good but I give the edge to the XG. Its sound is fuller and has more presence compared to the XB, not to mention the looks are classier.

Just sent my 43 in for warranty because the left tweeter went out picked it up for 160 at Best Buy they might not have any replacements and if so the warranty rep said they will send me a XG500 for the inconvenience had to google what that was not complaining but it’s a chonker 😮.

Lol I bought it recently on a deal the XB43 I just thought there's a new one coming because the discount is too much, long story short I got that notification about not been able to update the speaker, the notification is about the battery of the phone you're using to update not the actual battery of the speaker.
I currently have the xg300 and ive had the xb43 and with a custom equaliser the 300 definitely packs alot more punch the 43 felt a little under powered

Which one is better?
I got the Sony SRS XB43 for $140 around 1,5 year ago and it haven't seen much use. Posistioned right its decent at low volymen but as soon as you turn it up it sounds forced, aggressive & harsh... I get sound fatigued so fast and it has to do with the lvl of distortion.
I'm just looking for a better Bluetooth speaker with better audiophile representation, a warmer more natural sound that can play louder w.o distorting.
Have anyone done a comparison btw the audio from the SRS XB-43 and the W-King X10?
It seems that the XB43 is a bit heavy 4 what it performs when it comes to loud, so what's better than it around 3-6 kg blutooth speakers?

xg 300 sounds louder but a bit hollow? like a chamber or something.
XG300 has a bigger problem with excess resonances inside of itself. Typically, cheap speakers lack material inside to reduce the excess resonances, which causes that hollow/boxy sound.
Excess resonances, if extreme enough, can cause everything to sound very veiled and unnatural, plus it reduces audio fidelity and excess resonances even reduce how much fine nuance of the music that the speakers can reproduce.
The same happens with closed-back headphones, too.
I'm not really satisfied with the xb23. Great sound at Volumes till 40%. Above it lacks Bass so badly. Just non existent. Now I don't know, the Xg300 or Jbl xtreme 3 ?
I think the XG300 looks like a pretty good upgrade. Especially since the XB43 came out two years ago now.

@@mohammedaiyaad4546 according to who my friend? I have read and watched a lot of reviews and by far most praise the sound. And it sounds good to me listening to the sound on my headphones. I don't know what the "trash" sound is that some people claim because sound signatures are highly subjective. What appeals to one person will differ to another person.
@@Sabundy may be it might be appealing to you, but didn't make me happy, i own sony srs xb43, sony x30d , sony ht s700rf, i am one suc person that not only a sony fan , but i also have my personal sound signature choice ... xg300 wasn't as impressive as xb43 was , i like xg500 more but xg300 kinda dissapointed me , maybe after firmware updates might got better now but back then i was dissapointed

To me I prefer the XB43s sound more , to me the xg300 sounds super shallow and narrow not a fan! The xb43 sounds more open than the xg300

It's here now for $499. I'd like to see a comparison btw the boombox 2 and boombox 3 on CZcams bc they now got 1 dedicated subwoofer and 2 midrange speakers (on the JBL Boombox 3) instead of 2x full range speakers (on the JBL Boombox 2).
I wonder if the 3 does significantly better and how power consumption is affected with the increased drain of a larger subwoofer.

There's been a couple of updates to the XG300 and XG500 since I uploaded this video which has vastly improved the sound of both. They're actually my preferred speakers now. The XG300 stays in our kitchen and sitting room. The XG500 is in the family room and goes to the beach with us.

on my own persona opinion i dont think this is an update of the xb43 but an entry level or lower tier to the xg500 that was stand alone and it has actually the same shape(unless sony officially said something and that i do ignore), they could also be telling us that this will be the new to go and that the xb line as we know it is bye bye with their new but, on my opinon, lacking XE series... i hope this is not the way they are going.

Not even an upgrade lights are just a downgrade cuz I can barely even see it in the daytime
Had an XB43 and really wanted to like it but it had a few issues that made me sell it.
1) Wasn’t as loud as I expected but did sound good imo.
2) I HATED that once the battery hit 70% the volume went down. This was my biggest gripe because it basically meant that I couldn’t listen to the speaker at full volume most of the time and it was already too quiet at full volume. Very stupid on Sony’s part.
3) Idk about you guys but the bass was sooo lacking. Extra Bass did absolutely nothing, i kept switching back and forth and didnt notice a difference.
I ended up getting a XG500 that while it isnt as loud as I expected, it has the bass i want and is still decently loud and soooo good looking. I also got it certified refurb on ebay for $200 with a 2yr warranty and sold the XB for $100 meaning i got the XG500 for around $110! Good video man!
If mega bass didn't do any difference then either you had a defective piece or a fake . Megs bass just transforms the speaker into a beast .
I really have to disagree with you in the XB43 part. I had two of them and their sound was superb. While I agree that one would expect it to be much louder given how big and heavy it is, its sound is still very good. As the other person commenting mentions, turning Mega Bass on or off really does a huge difference. If you didn't notice it, most likely you got a defective speaker or a fake Zony hahaha.
Additionally, what you mention about the volume is not true. In fact, the XB43 was the first one that did not reduce its volume at all when about to discharge. You do hear the voice that says "Please charge", but it never reduces its volume. It just stays full volume until you either plug it in or it just shuts down when the battery is discharged. If yours reduced its volume at 70% battery, you were ripped off witha Sorny unit hahaha.
