Tunnel? Tunnel where? How should this tunnel look? How would this tunnel be better than a bridge? Would this be a permanent tunnel or a temporary tunnel? Would Baltimore pay for the tunnel to be built? Who will bear the cost of maintenance of the tunnel, State of Maryland tax paying citizens or tolls? Lots of difficult questions to answer when you speak tunnels? Tunnels are not easily expandable or maintained. Even if you can convince the city and state legislatures a tunnel is the best course of action, trying to levy new taxes on an already poor city like Baltimore is nearly an impossible feat.
@@equallywrongwow yeah. You’re right. Maybe they should just forget the bridge too. Also not that easy to expand. Or maintain…… one less bridge to deal with might mean less poverty for Baltimore…… maybe the poverty issue should be addressed by leadership? I don’t know. You know what I DO Know? I do know that a tunnel is a perfectly viable and reasonable solution in areas where a ship can hit a bridge and you know, cause it to collapse and in doing so kill people…… so maybe next time before you explode on someone having an idea, you stop to think first. @jamesranker6275 was not trying to be a jerk. A tunnel is super expensive and has limited capacity. I said if it was determined a tunnel was the best solution who will bear the cost to build and maintain. This bridge stood for over 40 years without a major incident. There are bridge designs that will better handle a collision like this one at a much more attractive price to taxpayers or toll paying drivers.

Ummm... no! The 90% or so of the cargo that is undamaged will be delivered and the ship will be repaired and returned to service, And the owners and operators are already well-known.
Well this didn’t include the refloating portion…
Last I heard, work was to begin at 2 AM, and it would have been dark for the first 3-4 hours. Too dark for cameras.
@@merryhunt9153 naw, their cameras can cover dark shots without a problem.

Pretty boring.
@@dobbo7690 correct, though still neat to watch. I was a sailor for 13 years.
We can call this “the tow of shame”. 8 weeks since the collision, billions of dollars in damage. Years of rebuilding ahead.

Maybe retitle your video...something like "A sped up version of the DALI being moved after refloating".
Great videography ... the panorama from the camera's view really captures the emotion of the moment ...
The new bridge should be a suspension bridge to make sure this never happens again
Video starts a few. hours late
Thats american ingenuity for you...60 days later😂
No refloating to be seen here.
What's more compelling Is the Crew having spent just Under 2 months stuck Onboard Will possibly be permitted to go ashore ..
FBI pending🙈🙊🙉
A submariner's life.
They were already going to be on board for at least a month anyway sailing to Sri Lanka. They had provisions for the trip, so they were fine.

I see the Dali engines were running. Not sure if for power or steerage and thrusters.
The ship has had power for the last 8 weeks from it's generators.

Looks almost alive😊
How about relocating instead of refloating
No shore leave! She's still a crime scene 😞
Why would the crew want to get off in Baltimore anyway.
Pan right , no left ! Zoom zoom wide zoomrightzoom left WHO IS DIRECTING THIS !!!! we just want to see the ship move , not the camera.
How they did not see this coming is beyond me. It’s like everyone in charge that can make the decisions turned away & just hoped it wouldn’t happen.
WTF you talking about? The refloating happened on schedule and as planned!
It will be a while before the owners step up and claim this floating piece of debris.

Time to check every container. Gun running, drugs, stolen property, people and animals that have died. There is no limit to crime..
