My all time favorite episode of Curb. The off-the-charts hijinks to get Cheryl back combined with the interplay between Larry and Steve is like comedy from another planet!
Having said that ........ theere is no way Steve Coogan is 5 10. 5 8 maybe .... 5 9 tops. You've gotta question a guy who could exaggerate his height like that. Probably better to keep him locked up to be on the safe side.
There's a few instances where Larry has gone into scumbag mode: 1. Stealing Marty Funkhousers dead mothers flowers and giving them to Cheryl and Loretta. 2. Stealing an job interviewees flowers causing Jeff and Susie's daughter to fail to get a place at a top school. 3. Making fun of a disabled guy 4. Causing his golf buddy to have a heart attack and die 5. This
No We dont have Dry British Humour this Comedian has Dry humour unlike the rest of England Where do you think Americans get their Humour genes from? England Scotland Ireland wales. 200 yrs ago.
.... While larry tells him about how the plan worked great, his facial expression was in utter disbelief that he would be so oblivious to the fact that he is in JAIL.... "I'm very happy for you....BUT" hahahaha
Reminds me of the scene from Kingpin when Munson fakes the mugging to get out of paying rent. When he throws the hot coffee on his friend I laughed so hard.
Metrader Your point is a poorly made one, as I haven't claimed to have a PhD. Unlike you. Because nobody believes you or cares. You're autistic af fam.
Metrader lololol wow that was…cringe-worthy. The sheer hubris of every one of your posts. The self-infatuation. My envy? Of what? You expect me to envy your conceited and over-inflated view of yourself and your proclaimed intelligence? Sounds as though you're insecure about your own supposed intellectualism and feel the need to impose it o random people on youtube of all places. That truly is pathetic. It's very clear that you don't "get" much of anything, you dip. You really are fucking autistic.
If I called attention to that passage by quoting it, it's because I think it's the funniest part of the scene (well, along with "He doesn't speak English.") I would have thought that was obvious.
I've often thought LArry David and Alan Partridge (Steve Coogan - this actors main character) would get on well together. Or be mortal enemies. Would be great to see a scene of those 2 together.
The therapist didn't deserve this. He made a mistake then redeemed himself to save Larry. Larry's in the wrong for this one. Hopefully Dr. Bright has a deck of cards.
I really wish Dr. Bright was a reoccurring character. He's fantastic.
He can't. Because he's locked up.
@@josephblanchard6248 we all are at the moment 😕
Bryan Cranston is Larry's terapist and he's absolutely kills it
Try Alan Partridge.
hes so attractive omg
"Just get me outta fucking prison, stop talking about cards"
24 hours...48 at the most....whats after 48, 72? and then 96....hilarious
Metrader d
Make it 120hrs lol
"Don't say 'and then!'"
I just love the "we have to stop". Mr therapist, what goes around comes around!
Mr Ultimatum xD
Larry should hve sent him a bill.
That part is the perfectly hilarious and genius writing and comic mind of Larry David.
lol i think he kinda got worse karma than he deserves here...
@@stonem0013 Yeah, he more than redeems himself by agreeing to Larry's plan and Larry still flips it on him lol.
"Just get me out of fucking prison. Not talking about cards." His delivery is genius!
Fortunately, Dr. Bright got out of prison. Unfortunately, he got his head blown off by a mine while Directing a movie with Ben Stiller in the jungle.
Nit Picker z “Wherever he is, looks like hes all over the place”
That's a shame.
Nit Picker Idk bro, i believe he was arrested for engaging in a Ponzi scheme by detectives allen and terry
Thankfully they had a D class on hand and he was revived
All these people not defining Coogan by Alan Partridge? Shocking! Although 24 Hour Party People is a wonderful movie as well.
Coogans comic timing is just perfect throughout the whole episode!
I love Steve Coogan
Throughout his career even. Got to be one of the best comic actors in the business.
They do do more than one take. You know that, don't you?
"How ya doin?" Only Larry greets someone in prison that way!
After taking a few seconds to check his phone lol
"Sometimes you make friends in a situation like that and they become your friend for life...He doesn't speak English".
His face when he says "Very happy for you.." is priceless.
Absolutely cracked me up. :)
It's always good to have a deck of cards
...no matter where you are!
Genius.
I feel like this is Larry at his vindictive best. Goes on a prison visit to tell the guy 'we have to stop'.
Spite is a dish best served with a cup of coffee
A cold cup of coffee..@@jaybone2321
even LD's prison small talk is on point. height, 24 hour calculation, deck of cards, timing

My all time favorite episode of Curb. The off-the-charts hijinks to get Cheryl back combined with the interplay between Larry and Steve is like comedy from another planet!
I love how in the middle of all this Larry starts obsessing about Steve's height
"it's always good to have a deck of cards on you, no matter where you are" LOOL that cracked me up
Knowing you Larry David, knowing me Alan Partridge, A-haaaaaaaaaaa
Ahaaaaaa!
The expression on Steve Coogans face after Larry says '48..' is fucking wonderful.
Coogans face at 1:12 is the defintion of comedy gold
Dr. Bright is one of my favorite characters. Comedic genius 👏
"You're five-ten?!"
in the heel
..... "Im very happy for you, BUT thats not on the top of my list of priorities right now" hahahahahahahahha way too funny!
Wonderfully delivered:)
Coogan kills it in this role. I’d say more good things about him but we’re out of time....
LOL. Brilliant
I have to go comment on the video of another CZcamsr, who's, uh...suicidal.
"Don't, don't, don't say 'and then'"
+Edriss Scofield "You have a deck of cards? Solitaire? Damn it. It's always good to have a deck of cards, no matter where you are."

The look Larry gives him after telling him they have to stop is pure George Costanza
Just realised he set his watch at the start. Missed it first 2 times round :)
Perfect 2 minute comedy scene..
"In a heel I am"
😂😂
lmao The way he says "Please" after Larry says 96 has me dying.
I dont think there is a other scene in curb where larry is so cold/selfish as here, and i love it.
He told a woman who was crying at a funeral to shut up. haha
When the dry British humor clashes with jewish-american... some intruiging results.
Probably the two best examples of Self-deprecation humor comes from those two cultures.

FLAT RACING GURU UK
All British comedians have dry humor though.
Larry is right. Always good to have a deck of cards at all time
"I'm not talking about cards." is my favorite line from this scene.
Anyone else notice Larry’s delivery of “We have to stop” is very similar to “Well then you wait....you wait.”
"I haven't spoken to anyone normal in 24 hours, please..." lmfao
"We have to stop"...then the eyebrow lift
ahaha it made my day
Great to see a British comedy genius working with an American comedy genius 👌
An American comedy genius working with a British comedy genius 👌
With a "friend" like Larry you don't need enemies.
For those of you who don't know - Steve Coogan is the UK's Larry David. He is an absolute comedy legend over here!
Yeah, I discovered that because of this episode. He's great. "Knowing me, knowing you. Ah Ha."
'This Time' and 'Scissored Isle' are also brilliant!
The "I am Alan Partridge" series is Coogan's masterpiece
Well no, Coogan is a character actor.
We have to stop. PERFECT!!
Larry David comedy translates everywhere. This dude is funny in English, Spanish, French, Hebrew or Assyrian. Dude is comedic gold.
Aramaic, no less
It's really better in Yiddish!
@@danieldecker2526 But best in Swedish.
That last "We have to stop" right at the end was straight up Jerry Seinfeld embodying Larry all of a sudden.
'After you were taken away, we had coffee' ha haa
"You're not 5'10"
"How you doin?"
"Well... I'm... I'm in prison."
The last guy you'd want a prison visit from...Larry David

Anyone who's been to therapy loves this
"My feet stick out the fucking bars!"

What a gem. I never saw these episodes.
Loved this character absolutely hilarious
"that was Bill Withers and thank the lord he is still Withers..."
hahahahaha
I love when Larry challenges Dr. Bright about his height. "Stand up." LOL.
It’s always good to have a deck of cards
One of the best episodes of the series........
Larry I'll level with you, I'm really scared.
Can't they bring this character back? I know I saY this about every character but Steve Coogan is sooo fantastic!!!!!
Steve can use those 24 hours to have a party with people.
"He doesn't speak english"
Hahaha had me dying
@0:35 he’s in prison and Larry has the balls to call him out on being 5’10” 😂
Ohh.. good news)))))
Larry is still mad at him for screwing up things with Cheryl
absolutely!!! love it!
Steve Coogan was fantastic in Curb ⭐ so funny 😂

Larry getting his inner Eric Cartman on.
Hey, Larry took time out of his 'busy' day to go visit him in prison. So there's that.
Insane how fast prison completely wrecked him.
Larry is everyone's alterego
The fact he has to see a therapist at the end was fucking fantastic lmao

Dr bright is no longer allowed to possess d-class and recreate a prison break
I have come to the conclusion that this is the funniest curb scene in the show.
I thought it was when Dr. Bright said. "I'm mugging you!!"
I thought it was when they met Cheryl in her "love me" home..
I don't think LD likes therapists very much.
You'll make life time friends!
"My feat stick out of...the fucking bars" LOL
What’s after 48? THATS why Larry is a Billionaire.
