I WOULD STILL BE AT THE STARTING LINE BRO THIS IS CRAZY TALENT
Tone202 not only. They work really really hard and itâs actually their life
On the gear bro, full Natty
YOU FORGOT HARD WORK
Imagine the amount of work these guys put into their training and workouts. It's crazy
Just hard training bro
Triathlon is indeed the most tiring if not the hardest sport in the history
Mont Blanc Ultra trailers are still laughing... Tiring sport doesn't mean a thing.
actually scientists said its rowing
Mark R No, itâs the iron man triathlon.
crosscountry skiers have comparatievly the highest VO2Max, so I'd say that's at least in contention for the most demanding sport title.
You could call it a triing sport
This is the most athletically inspiring sport around
Incredible to push so hard in 3 events like that absolutely the highest level of all 3 disciplines.
these men do swimming cycling & running and here i am lazy person watching it đ¶
Lol same đ
Donât be too hard on yourself. I do Olympic triathlons and the time and energy in training is something but if you really want to do this start running and move to swimming and running thatâs how I got into this like you I watched it and decided to do it.
Right, that's what i did myself, and last sunday i had my first triathlon (olympic distances), a very beautiful experience.
Now thinking and planning for a half ironman.
hatim laamri outstanding you should be proud of yourself. May I suggest move up to Olympic first though itâs a very big step to go into Ironman unless your absolutely sure some people Iâve seen tried doing that and ended in horrible results
Thanks 2410jrod, i did my olympic triathlon, and i am planning a half ironman (70.3), Ironman distances are for 2 or 3 years from now. It's addictive
Mostly everyone completed this triathlon this is INSANE talent!!
Having endurance like them is already a dream for me haha
2021 still reliving these.
Dang! 17 minutes for just about a mile swim! It takes me twice that haha wow that's super cool.
You are cool too it takes me four times
@@oguzhansarpkaya9216 you are cool too it takes me eight times
not me more like 16 minutes
It takes me 17 minutes to run a mile

Here we are again during covid 19 that postpone the tokyo olympics.
2020 anyone?

nope... 2021
Gracias y saludos cordiales desde Mallorca para vosotros olimpic momentos
Vincent Luis was already there, 7 years after is becomes world champion, what a hard work!!!
It makes me tired just watching this

if I had to do that and in the physical conditions that I find myself in, it would take about 5 or 6 hours hahahahahahahaha
it took 3h21m for my first and unique triathlon and know what? first time i did 40 km in biking was during the race. I just dont like biking.
@@hatimlaamri2132 wow! this is incredible mate!
thanks
i probably wouldnât even get passed the swimming, to be honest.
It would probably rake me 16 hours
Ok..... I am 14 and really want to be part of this but I can see a few potential problems.
1. I would probably drown in the swimming section.
2. If I survive, I will be extremely slow anyway...
3. If I make it to the cycling, I'll probably crash at the first corner.
4. If I am still surviving there is probably a cut off and I'll fail that.
5. Dismounting bikes is really annoying because I keep thinking I'll fall off.
6. I can run 5000m in a half decent time but 10000m... never done that... could be tough.
7. Olympians are probably way ahead of me already when they were my age :(
You donât have to start on their level, find a kids triathlon team in your city or just google triathlons for beginners in your area and work out your own training plan. But be warned once you do one thereâs no turning back, you will be hooked!
*Begins watching video.* Geez they didnt cut it down swimming is long. *Continues watching.* What? They're only on the first lap for the biking!?! *Looks at screen.* Only 30 minutes into a 2 and a half hour long video. *Oh.*
Why is there dubstep music in the background at the beginning? Truly the early 2010s
17:56 that's weird lol
These people are stamina gods my goodness
proud to be british! i remember watching this, amazing!!
Imagine riding your bike and the you see someone running already
Iâd still be hanging onto the pontoon trying not to drown đđ
If I did that I would drown on the swimming section
Really wouldâve been interesting to see how A Brownlee wouldâve got on in the 10km run event against the field. Unbelievable to be able to run that time after already swimming and cycling đ đ
You better have some iron lungs for this because I wouldnât even make one mile swimming.
Penalty served at 1:42:00
Does anyone else feel a bit annoyed that there is a motorbike in front of the cyclists? I understand the purpose for it , but couldn't you use an electric one? I bike and absolutely cant stand the smell of car exhaust and they are getting a mouth full of it for half the race!!
Greg Jenkins oh god yes and moves to the rest of the pack. Not to mention it messes with you O2 and you need as much on that as you can what do you do Olympic triathlons or sprint?
I completely agree entirely. It should only be a battery-powered vehicle .
Coldfury It does admit a little I will grant you that. Problem is where if itâs right in front of you it messes with you. I can cut some slack on small triathlons but something like the Olympics come on. Itâs not like an electric bike is going to hurt their budget.
very true
Badasses all of them...

Nice one đ
As a swimmer I find the triathlon swimming technique quite interesting. It looks tiring and inefficient but I guess it isnt
Itâs open water so itâs a lil different
Eating curry while watchingđčđč
I didn't get into the specifics of London triathlon but from my racing days temperature cutoff for wetsuit is 21.3 degrees not 20 degrees as mentioned by commentators. I don't see why it would be any different for Olympics but who knows?
Philo201269 is it 21.3 because thatâs 70 in Fahrenheit?
Philo201269 I think there are different cutoff temperatures for professional athletes and age groupers.
Chile!!!

it takes me 30 minutes to swim 1500 meters, and when i finish iâm exhausted and dizzy. How do they do it in half that time and do a ton more
Without carbon shoes, first 2.5k =7:00 đŹ Insane!!!!!!
I would be in my floats even now in 2021
Props to the Costa Rican that was taken down by Whittfield in the accidente, what a bummer, still finished the race.
I would literally die if I did this đą from watching I'm loosing breath... Gooood! Just imagine.. đ
17:56 that's weird lol
Nope. Couldn't do it. I'd be at the starting line thinking I'm making progress and then see all of them miles ahead.
amesing
if you think this is hard enough...go check the Norseman Xtreme... brutally beautiful..
Noresman is race for age groupers. Please donât compare age group adventure race with olympic distance triathlon where athletes swim 1500m under 16min and run 10k in 29:07 đđđ
why do they ride normal road bike? I knew that triathlon use TT bike
ê°ê°ê° tt bike is great for speed and more straight but not so much when you have heavy traffic like this race, so they used these bikes so they can go in and out as they please.
dsourn Aha! It's interesting! Thank you :)
because this race is draft legal.
You cannot use TT bikes in a draft legal race, it's way too dangerous and there is no added benefit if you're not in the aero position.
the TT bikes are used especially in the Iron Man and generally for long distances
Is slipstreaming allowed in the cycling race? That isn't normal is it?
You can't draft in ironman races though. If you're passed in an ironman race you have to drop back and let them completely go by you. I believe you have to be at least 7 meters back.
Yeah, in literally any cycling race, riders will slipstream and change whoâs in the leader position for efficiency purposes
Yes
Eww đ·

Äeldo poĆĂĄd vzadu na kole :)
so whats the distance of each stage ????
What are the penalty boxâs?
Penatly box is when you make transgression and they make you stop for 10-15 sec to add time on your time
how is Frodeno "well built"? He's 194cm and about 75kg for Christ's sake. These commentators have no idea what they are talking about.
@chogori Agreed.
LOL
That is huge for a top distance athlete
So pissed sat here for half an hour waiting for the medal ceremony and they didn't even show it - if you want to wait for the medals don't waste half an hour just go
Triathlon start music?
why they have bumps on the racing road?
1:50:11 LOL
ĐŃŃŃ Đ°ĐœĐșĐŸĐČ ĐŒĐ°ŃĐžĐœĐ°!
Alistair brownlee won't be able to compete for the rest of the year because of hip problems. So sad
Yeah, he tried to do 70.3 and it was too much for his body. Its to do with body types - Skinner triathletes do better at shorter distance typically
porque no traen aerobarras ni lenticular ?
Too many turns on bike ! they use road bike not TT.....in Olympic distance
Sou Brasil
One of my friends just finished a triple ironman
Okay mate.
How tf do people do this? Let me know how many miles they go for.
swimming: 1500m, Cycling 40 k and running 10 k I guess ...
Swim is just under a mile, bike is like 26, running is ab 6 1/4
Why don't they have pace maker
Because they could electrocut themselves in the water
Aussie commentator so wrong in his predictions LOL
how fast is the avg. bike speed with this guys?
Tour'd Locals Go to where they first started and wait until the finish. Then figure out the distance and divide by the time. I believe it is around 25-30 mph however.
#2019
Who's on commentary
Thomas Phillips The Kiwi is Brendon Telfer
Mr. obvious and Mr. make it up as I go along
The brownlee brothers could have gotten gold and silver without that penalty
N O
Not sure about that. The 15 sec. penalty probably cost Jonathan about 18 - 20 sec. and the difference between him and Gomez was exactly 20sec. It' s a marginal call.
They did Gold & Silver in Rio 2016!đ
01:47:10 The commentator of an olympic triathlon doesn't know the distances of an Ironman? "What is it, a 120 km Bike Ride and 3,5 km swim..." WHAT? Shame on you.
AmAZING
What if you got tired in a middle of a swim đ€?? Would you get no chance other than to drown??đ€
MultiChantal22 there's people to help you, also you shouldn't be doing a triathlon while uncondionted.
1500m is a fairly short swim.
These athletes probably swim 5000+m 5 or 6 days a week.
@@richardhudson4649 have you tried to swim a 1500m, it's not short.
I swim 6000m+ each day 6 days a week. When I swim the 1500 at a meet all I want to do is lay down and die after, can't imagine doing a 40km bike and 10km run after that
Dyson Lewis Iâm an Ironman finisher.
Thatâs a 3800m swim, 180km ride and a marathon.
1500m is a short swim.
@@vegannonextreme5318 1.5k swim is short for these athletes. Not for me and you, but for them, it's a piece of cake.

2022 anyone
Here
Strange things. Everyone here with belly , appreciated this. Well, They are not able to cycle, toâ swim, and run .
Did the Brownleeâs win? Announcers showing just too much favoritism.
I want a road bike but I have a mountain bike
go get one then, older 80s models are pretty cheap 2nd hand and they're gorgeous
Why do they ride their bikes so close to each other?
Because since 1996 drafting is allowed in triathlon. Only long course races have different rules, but real triathlons are draft legal races for last 25 years
Did anyone else wach the whole thing while cubing
Me!
What's cubing?
Miles Johnson; Pretty much just solving Rubix Cubes.
We often use speed cubes and different variants of a traditional 3x3
fuu i feel bad about myself........i wannabe like one of them....not olympic champion nothing like that but just to get enough fit to do a small marathon......well at least i have a dream..:)
penalty for tidiness for triathletes? That's juvenile! Has nothing to do with their atheleeticism!
It's so you actually put your equipment away and not just chuck it on the floor. Plus a competitor could then trip over or accidentally step on your stuff, which could injure him.
