This was a great chance to see how my fitness was coming along as I prepare for a sub 3 hour Marathon attempt this October. Watch along to see what happened!

Fantastic.Can see from your heart rate how much you suffered some races are just pure pain! Saw you training in Millhouses Park the other day just after the down pour lol!Keep up the good work!
To be honest my heart rate was elevated from the whole morning. Even walking and warm up slow jogging it was already +15 to 20 bmp higher than normalZ. Not sure why, maybe a very poor nights sleep or just anxious.
The day after my heart rate in a easy run was back to normal.
But yea around 17/18k it was feeling bad but gained some confidence in the last couple k and finished strong.

Just started following your channel. I really like how you speak your mind about the races, how they are setup and how critical you are about yourself. I am newer to running and just finished my first half marathon. My avg pace is 10:00 and am looking to get it to atleast 8:30. I also intersted in vlogging my own runs. Can you let me know the exact equipment and setting you use. They seem flawless and I hope you continue posting those videos. Again thanks for allowing me to be apart of your journey.
Thanks for the comment my friend! Vlogging your races is a great and fun way to record your running journey. I use a Go Pro 10 at the moment but many older videos pre Berlin Marathon were done on the Go Pro 8.

I watched for some half marathon nice in late May or June or early September.. And then I saw the big half marathon , check it on CZcams and after Your video I register my interest when 2023 edition will be open to register. Good quality video, nice shots which show atmosphere and weather.. now I see it is worth to run it. :)) Thank You for hard work by making video while running!.

I’m actually running the Yorkshire Marathon in October. It was suppose to be Amsterdam but changed to Yorkshire for ease of logistics.

Hi, my brother struggled in this race, he really didn't train much for it. He slowed in the 2nd half of the race and ended up with a time of 2:07:38. He will attempt a sub 2 hour in the end of October at the Leicester half marathon.
Good stuff! I achieved a 2:09 PB last month as well but has been extremely challenging to go sub 2h. Looking forward to Leicester half marathon and more videos of it!
