Love it! Annie Leibovitz said that photography is 90% moving furniture and I always found that to be 💯 true! I don’t think new photographers understand part of their job is moving things all the time to be sure the shot is clear and lit well. You did amazing and your teaching style/content is incredibly helpful, I feel spoiled having all this access.

This is quite frankly the most educational and detailed behind the scenes wedding shoot I've seen. As an up and coming pro photographer this definitely gives me a pronounce perspective on what to expect as one day I will complete the challenge if thee as well. Phenomenal Photography 👏🏾👏🏾😊🤩💙

Using a strobe or flash as the main light and the sun as a secondary light has greatly improved my photography. When shooting without a strobe or flash during daylight, I can position the sun more effectively as a secondary light, helping me understand how to use reflected light as fill light. Another helpful tip is to use a studio monitor, like a SmallHD, using False Colors to analyze the lighting and contrast in ad campaigns or the work of your favorite photographers. I guarantee this will be overwhelming at first but the experience you’ll gain will be a level you didn’t think possible.

as a wedding photog it's so nice to see you kind of scamper to find the perfect spot for the dress, I feel like that's me setting up all my shots on wedding days under a time crunch and it makes me feel unorganised and chaotic and this is a good reminder that this is normal and just part of the job!

I won a giveaway to the KJ all access for a year and I learned SO much!!! To be totally honest, it kept me from quitting photography altogether. I was really (without even realizing it) struggling and feeling like every interaction and every pose and every everything had to be perfect always. Watching Katelyn made me realize that there never is a perfect situation with no challenges and that even with huge challenges you can come up with a kick butt product for your clients. Thanks for helping me overcome my seriously toxic perfectionism and keep trying to improve my craft!!!!

Thank you for sharing. Have you ever had to rush the bridal party while getting ready so you would have time for some group shots? I was asked to photograph a friend's wedding and the bride that wanted a first look but they took so long getting ready they ran out of time. I am not a professional photographer but the shots I did get were really good. The couple loved them. I wasn't sure if it was my job to make sure they ran on time? They had a wedding coordinator. Maybe this was the time to be proactive? I am learning so much from you

I wished you would have shown the group photos results taken from your chair and the settings you used. Why did you did not used a flash and it was indoor? your iso must have been extremely high and there was 2 rows in some of them with high aperture? I was wondering what it would have looked with the bench at the front and how did you cropped it in post? (I have been told to never shoot with windows facing you)…. Many thanks in advance.
