I remember going to see this at the movies. I was more excited to see Leo be a bad guy. Jamie absolutely killed it. Still my favorite movie of all time. This scene was amazing all the way down to the music que when he shoots Tarantino. The whole cast and script was perfect. Excellent movie🍿
Fun fact, when filming this Dicaprio even admitted he felt wrong being so racist and dropping "Hard Rs" until Samuel Jackson basically cornered him and went "Motherfucker this is TUESDAY for us, just roll with it" more or less.

I'm glad that Will Smith has a habit of turning down legendary character roles.
2:58 My first time watching this I actually yelled at the screen: "No, don't give him a gun! You just met this gu--whelp, you're dead."
Jordacar made no sense not to, he wasn't no slave, he was a bounty hunter, no need for him to kill them before they got closer to the reward innit?
Khael Storm what reward? He lied to them, did you not watch the movie? He killed Smitty Bacall earlier on during the movie in front of his son
Kenny Doorye you’re missing the point mate, they had no reason to suspect he was gonna shoot them dead, they thought he was on their side, he lied and they bought it, they just REALLY bought it
Khael Storm they bought it only because the other slaves backed his story. It was essentially pure luck too
i was screaming give him the gun throughout the entire scene mostly because they deserved their deaths but also it doesn't make sense that they trusted the guy so easily, they could have kept their eyes and guns on him.......they're from the west i'm sure they've been tricked many times, west teaches you not to trust anyone, they could also not give him a gun at all and just force him to take them there

Demolitions Expert: ☆☆ [shoots Tarantino]...☆
I remember going to see this at the movies. I was more excited to see Leo be a bad guy. Jamie absolutely killed it. Still my favorite movie of all time. This scene was amazing all the way down to the music que when he shoots Tarantino. The whole cast and script was perfect. Excellent movie🍿
Fun fact, when filming this Dicaprio even admitted he felt wrong being so racist and dropping "Hard Rs" until Samuel Jackson basically cornered him and went "Motherfucker this is TUESDAY for us, just roll with it" more or less.
Love how Tarantino literally went out with a bang
2:47 tarantino awkwardly looks at the camera
Well spotted.
Go forward chin
He didn’t look at the camera
He looked at the camera for a reason. Tarantino never does something neither puts any object or material you see in his movies accidentaly, everything means something. (Dont tell me that when they were editing the movie and putting parts together, the editor did not notice Tarantinos character aukwardly looking at the camera!!)
Ha
2:49 he saw the camera
Gustavo Velasco Definitely agree, you should also check out

Horse
I just learned the old Aussie guy is played by John Jarratt, who was the murderer in Wolf Creek.
Having an actual Australian alongside made Tarantino’s attempt at an Aussie accent so much worse 😂
Goddamn Australians
Cancer Carl Say that again, mate?
Mick Taylor Oh ya fuckin bogan, don't even try
Cancer Carl Oi watch the language, mate!
Ho damn!
From time immemorial
I don’t know why, but I absolutely love the way the dynamite shuffling sounded at 2:49
Yeah Prolly just the sounds of bricks in the actual mix
Shultz: Keep your first WANTED bill it might just save you.
I love it when QT pops up in a scene. He always kills it
You’re alright for a black fella!
The acting by one of the slaves is top notch. This showed all the emotions from envy to now being inspired by Django without saying words.
The theatrics are so awesome. How the rustling of the dynamite was intensified so smoothly but exaggerated. He is very good at what he does, who he casts and just seemingly every aspect of it.
He just obeyed the law of the the Ugly.."Whenever you want to shoot, shoot but don't talk"!
You know that Tarantino is the master of the unexpected that first time I watched this movie, for a moment I really believed that he was going back to Candyland with them as a backup and that they will be killed in the gunfire
Blows my mind how many of my friends didn’t know that was Tarantino with the dynamite...
Django is good at negotiating. I like the way you do business boy
Feels great to return to the scene of my freedom
This is like one of those random events that you come across while exploring in Red Dead Redemption 2
I can’t believe that Quentin Tarantino actually blew up and died for this part of the movie, such dedication on his part
Damn you didnt even like your own lame comment 😂😂😂
It's the pacing of the scene that makes it great. Slow and methodical build up, slow walking and slow talking, moving pieces and objects around. Then BAM BAM BAM BOOM!
The look of inspiration and admiration is apparent in this scene.
Need moar Django movies...
Django cinematic universe?
Moar?
Too many trumptards will be triggered.
Bruce Leroy LEEROYYYYYYYY
Well there is another one.
Epic score by Legend. One of the best things about this movie.
I love how he doesnt do a generic gunspin after the smoke clears. He isnt a showboat but rather a lethal ranger.
Tarantino pulled off the Aussie accent well
Did Django blow up the director of his own movie?
"Well, Smoke. You got a deal."
Wish that this would happen to Michael Bay every time he has a cameo.
For anyone who didn’t notice, the guy in the blue shirt with the wide hat, Michael Parks, was also the sheriff who gets shot by Quentin in the opening of From Dusk Till Dawn, I think he was in Death Proof and a few others. RIP 💯
