Back to solo sailing - 100nm from Bridgetown, Barbados to Rodney Bay, St Lucia overnight sail.

- My crew left a day before and I'm going to miss them a lot!! But for now - back to solo sailing.
St. Lucia was always on my "must visit" list and I'm happy to set sail to that amazing island! And it was beautiful!! Winds were on the beam, 16-18 knts. I've left Barbados around 5pm and set sails to a "comfort mode" to arrive in St. Lucia at 9am in the morning. Enjoy the shots of a beautiful ocean sunrise!

Did I see a Stern Thruster? Would single handing this 50 be difficult with only a bow thruster? Are the twin rudders difficult around the docks/reverse? thank you
The boat does have a stern truster, so no worries - fairly easy to dock singlehanded :)
For me, sailing is in essence a solitary experience.
Not, definitely, a lonely one, but deeply individual, even if it can be shared, pleasantly shared, with individuals with the same approach and a strong understanding of the duty.
Looking at these visual and aural impressions I almost can feel the soft swing, the tactile touch of the wind and the incredible smell of the sea.
I can absolutely see myself out there, smoking a long Churchill and enjoying a good dry rhum, in complete silence of words.

The problem is, that my number one subscriber is my mom and she does not speak English :) Neither my brother and some other relatives. But, I'm thinking about it. Will think of something eventually :)

Абсолютно точно подмечено, что в магазинах на Барбадосе одни чипсы, соусы, и всякая дребедень. Бросается в глаза отсутствие нормальной человеческой еды.
скучно смотреть на сейлинг просто так. давайте начинайте делать ремонты, как все приличные люди, в самых красивых местах
стопроцентов, что до высот делоса не добежите. надо изюминку.
Ремонты скучны! А наша изюминка - это ветер в парусах и красота морского горизонта. :)
