Good move that you sold the power boat. The sail boat gives you more pleasure and things to fix.

    I have a $4000 boat that cost $14,000 and it's just a Catalina 22.

Jason and Susy - I've watched all of your sailing videos and it is amazing how much your videos have improved since the early ones. This is by far the funniest sailing channel. I can't wait to see what comes next.

Wow, thanks. in the beginning we were more casual about the videos. We're making a short film too, called Sailing Apocalypse in hopes of a Halloween release. It was supposed to be for last Halloween but we didn't make it in time. Thanks for watching!

Great work on the head. Use this and you'll never have to bother with new hoses or holding tanks again: Camco TST MAX Camper / RV Toilet Treatment Drop-INs.

I literally laughed out loud when I saw the tribute to Sam Holmes! What compelled that? I adore him and his channel; you guys are in the regular rotation of my favorite sailing channels too! Thanks for the laugh and another great video! Safe travels! PS you should have put that on the part where you were drilling holes in your boat!

I crack jokes on Sam Holmes sometimes... he's a character and we watch him also. Did you see my Sam Holmes mirror? I thought about the Josh Post crying towel too.

Aproching an anchourage on dusk is fantastic way to inhance your night sailing in preparation for crusing.

Good point! We've been talking about doing an overnight sail... sailing out into the gulf all night to prepare for two full nights of sailing when we go to the keys.

Hi ! You should totally race with us! Join the boat club. The largest boat in our race was 34 feet and mine was the smallest at 22 feet. My boat is Pirates Queen on the C dock. The gulf races start next month. So fun!

You should definitely jump in on race night at your marina! It’s the best sailing instruction you’ll ever get, and it’s free! Alternatively, you could ask around to see if anybody is short handed and wants crew. That’s another great way to learn the lines.

Funny how fixing one thing many times leads right into another...lol. I had the same issue basically. Got the new tank and lines in and then the macerator pump housing cracked. I just ordered the entire assembly. But as you say its always a tough decision between time or money. Sometimes we choose time....sometimes we choose money. Cant wait to see what you guys end up with.

I don't even want to look at my own toilet, and yet, here I am looking at somebody else's toilet while having dinner.

  • @Paul-ou1rx
    @Paul-ou1rx Před 2 lety

It is the toilet. I'd pawn the stereo and donate plasma for the $200 rather than rely on my "skills".
But it is good to know how it functions if you are out cruising and something goes off.

I actually just replaced the pump on my O’Day 272LE. It was older and I replaced it with a new twist n lock unit for $105.

Tampa and esley Chapel has had non stop thunderstorms in the evening. Have you had any issues with lightning? I am thinking of putting jumper cables on my shrouds and letting them hang in the water for extra protection.

Ok so I have a question for you. I am making a video about my future sailing Adventure. I'm going to be referencing the O'day 28 quite a bit. You have the best looking O'day I have ever seen, and with that said, I'm wondering if I could use some pictures of your boat in the video? Of course I will let it be known that it is your boat and give your Channel a shout out. I guess just let me know one way or another and we can go from there. Thanks.

what boat do you have in mind for the next one? i've been checking out a couple of motorsailors myself. best of both worlds, motor power and still sail.
