OCD is actually a disorder that often gets worse when people are under stress. I've suffered from it since childhood and Taeyong shows clear signs of having it too. It's mainly genetic but in many people it blooms out after trauma. We can't know what his case is, only wish him the best in life and that he manages it without "feeding" it so it gets worse. I just recently got into NCT and must say I like him a lot already. He seems like such a sweet, gentle and caring person.
To be honest and seeing the comments, it can be either lucky or unlucky whoever marries him, because Taeyong admitted having a phobia. If you actually listen to what he says he 'feels at ease when he cleans before going to sleep'. As for me it's not something to be proud of, and it should be something to keep an eye on. Living with someone with a phobia or obsessive compulsive disorders is not that nice because not many know how to manage it, and he does have the signs of having an obsessive compulsive disorder. Hopefully his future wife will help him overcome it a little, and hopefully he'll get some help with it in the future.
But his OCD is not that serious. It is mild, because he is able to live his life. He does what he loves and works. His OCD does not consume too much of his time either. It causes him some anxiety but not on a severe level. He is also able to live with others with the exception of him being somewhat of a controlling neat freak. Overall, his OCD is manageable.
He definitely has OCD, you can tell just from how much of the work he does in NCT let alone when you hear this stuff-and it's not a mild case or he'd be able to sleep. studies have been done on people for decades that can't sleep until they clean their house: He's NOT got a mild case, he's got a MANAGED case. We're all lucky he works hard to manage it and probably has a lot of help from caring friends as well. His life is difficult.

And there is me. I’m such a neat freak that I don’t even let others in my room. I just can’t stand it because they would probably contaminate it and mess it up. I would even avoid physical contact sometimes. Oh boy, this is so relatable. Mysophobia has been with me since I was a kid, before sleeping I check all my room to be sure everything is ok. When I left my parent's house and went to live with a roommate I didn't want to wash my clothes together so I started hand washing my things. Taeyong I feel you.
I don’t wash my clothes with others It’s washed separately I don’t let anyone in my room because they would contaminate it and mess it up because it’s in an orderly fashion I wash my hands a lot I literally clean up after everyone’s messes at school and once I’m home I have even more mess to deal with and I get really stressed about it. I always hated getting dirty as a kid. I would avoid sitting on the ground so I squat and I never let my body touch the ground. I can barely pick things up the floor. I would have to wash my hands afterwards or use a lot of hand sanitiser if I have nowhere to wash my hands. I really just can’t stand the floor especially in the bathroom. In public bathrooms, I rarely use them unless it’s an emergency. I can go on and on

I think that it is really hard for him. It can be mysophobia, obsessive compulsive disorder or smth like that. Some people do like cleaning but this is just too much. That ain't normal and I think that laughing at his mania or making a joke of that isn't ok

And there is me. I’m such a neat freak that I don’t even let others in my room. I just can’t stand it because they would probably contaminate it and mess it up. I also can’t deal with things being in an orderly fashion. Like I said, I don’t let them in my room because I can’t stand my things being in a disorderly fashion. I’m also a major germaphobe. I would even avoid physical contact sometimes. I literally clean up after everyone’s messes at school and then once I’m home, I have even more mess to deal with because my parents aren’t total clean freaks unlike me. I get so stressed when things aren’t clean, neat and in an orderly fashion.
I can rant on and on but I hope I don’t concern anyone here.
He reminds me of JaeJoong so much, even JaeJoong at his age had a similar speaking voice. Love them both!

Oh boy, this is so relatable. Mysophobia has been with me since I was a kid, before sleeping I check all my room to be sure everything is ok. When I left my parent's house and went to live with a roommate I didn't want to wash my clothes together so I started hand washing my things.

I always hated getting dirty as a kid. I would avoid sitting on the ground so I squat and I never let my body touch the ground. I can barely pick things up the floor. I would have to wash my hands afterwards or use a lot of hand sanitiser if I have nowhere to wash my hands. I really just can’t stand the floor especially in the bathroom. In public bathrooms, I rarely use them unless it’s an emergency.

All I will say is... my mom would absolutely LOVE him!! Im the messy one in my family, I stress my mom out but boy if Taeyong was her son!!! She is a clean freak too... And on a serious note, I will say that, although I don't know him personally, just based off observations, I think he has some sort of OCD.
