That's not an encounter, that's watching a bear from afar.

This qualifies as an encounter, it’s not a close or one-on-one encounters. Neither the person or bear is injured. Coming upon a grizzly is thrilling and it’s even better when the bear is left to carry on with its day.
To me, this film footage shows respect and safety for the bear. People forget that humans are visiting the bears, and other animals, home. Give wildlife plenty of space, don’t harass the animal, and carry bear spray and know how and when to use it.

and to think this bruiser was once a helpless little newborn cub, totally dependent on his mother.

Whoever is filming and driving the boat to get this footage did not do the apex preditor any favors because you notice how it prepared to swim in the direction of the people filming? So my question is did that big bear actually give a moment of thought of seeing the people in the boat may be lunch??? Hahaha I mean especially if they weren't armed that could have turned very badly very quickly and that's the funny part about mother nature she is unforgiving. However if you show animal's like this the respect that they garner then it's possible we could possibly live together and be great.

Also bear's are one of if not the most curious animal's on the planet, which is why human's and these magnificent animal's will continue to have some of the most amazing breathtaking encounters and some of the most bizzar and horrifying encounters also.
