I’d say say center midfielder /defensive midfielder is the hardest position in football . You have to control the tempo of the game on the attacking side while being active on defense to regain possession of the ball. It takes So much to be great in this position. Pass accuracy, shot power ,field vision, IQ, free kick /penalty kick specialist, point of attack defender , stamina (you’ll usually be required to play all 90mins)

@@m3tro_mx355 i get the goal keep part being the last line of the defense but a keep is usually just standing at goal and not exerting much energy. A defensive midfielder plays both side of the ball more than any position on the field. It requires a lot of work and excellent stamina.

The hardest position in Football is always that position on the field who has to face/mark/defend 1:1 the strongest player from the other team so basically the counterpart position of the other team´s strongest player´s position of their formation..and that is in every other game an other player on an other position..So basically there is no "general hardest position" to acknowledge because it always depends on the current opponent team and their set up..
For me the Goalie is the easiest position, because when his team is playing well he personally has a very quiet game and basically nothing to do throughout the entire game, and when his team is playing shit the resulting loss is the field player´s fault for playing shit.
The Goalie is only to blame for his unforced errors which "good Goalies" barly make and "excellent Goalies" do not make....received Goals are foremost not the Goalie´s fault unless it was a result of an unforced error of the Goalie like not catching an easy to catch ball..or.. for being permanentely wrong positioned because he didn´t "read"/anticipate the game well, but such Goalies who do that often don´t play on the highest level anyway but in minor leagues..
