Two observations though (to help you and your subscribers in their flights):
- the starter button > you need to press it for 1 second. No less, no more. (it's actually written on a piece of paper just next to it)
- the ballast reattached, as you said, and that's why you couldn't make the extra short take off. It did it when you landed, because your armed the "auto remount" in flight.
Yeah I realized the ballast thing afterwards :D And the starter I'll remember!
You made a really awesome plane here, love this thing!

It's so hilarious! Just missing two things... the 69 tail number right next to "SpaceX" and a picture of _me_ right on the DASH board to make the whole thing about 20% cooler! :D
And somehow I thought the strobe light should just be an illuminated disco ball that keeps spinning... XD
There are plans to offer it to console too, but it will be a long and complicated road 😅 eventually we will make it and it will be freeware too!

The imagination of the authors of this plane is amazing!!! The quality of the model, the textures are very high, bravo.
Too many simmers take the sim too seriously. Whatever you want to fly it needs to be fun and there can be little more fun than this!! Thank you for a crazy review of a crazy aircraft. Excellent.
The serious ones only fly live weather and time so they wont ever be bothered by the gamers using aircraft like this. 😂
@@johnnymacf1 I have used Track IR and found it quite good. Mine was the basic version. There seem to be several others that are good but I have not tried them. I do have, and love, the Tobii. No need for a hat or extra sensor and it is amazing. The Track IR is very sensitive to light sources, especially behind the user but Tobii simply works, can be disabled and enabled without problem.
Serious simmer here, i still love to fart around and have fun, this plane is awesome.
I love the retractable gear, the idea that someone went to the trouble to install that on this scrapyard built aircraft, despite it being basically completely pointless. (The gear is still outside, in the airflow, so you're not gaining by pulling it up)
And 1100 HP....... that's effectively an early Rolls Royce Merlin's worth of power you've got there.....

Love your channel, the silly stuff, the serious stuff, the personal anecdotes, some history tossed in now and then - always very entertaining.
Only thing missing is a landing drag chute made of duct-taped together garbage bags. Maybe the pilot's seat could be dad's beat up recliner.
You can 'arm' the ballast to re-attach on touchdown, basically doubles the aircraft weight on touch down lol. Also you can arm the flaps to auto-retract on touchdown as well, she will stop on a sixpence. Click spot on the dashboard to reposition the panel. Autopilot is also available via external hardward/keybinds. She is one hell of a beastie

Finally! A true study-level plane for MSFS!
The plane is very easy to fly, and the idea behind the parts used is great. The landing, however, is terrible. Immediately after touching down, the plane spins in all directions and is impossible to maneuver on the ground (XBoxX with Velocity One Flightstick). I've never had that happen with any of my over 100 planes!

Downloading as we speak. I have soooo many "stupid" aircraft so this will fit in fine with things like the Paper Airplane and Cardboard Airplane and so many more. This looks amazing. Lets CRUSH that LIKE button people! Push it down with 2 hands if ya' gotta! You mentioned liking the BMW steering wheel, I kind of wish it was a G29 Racing wheel.

01:27 this is actually the logo of a french youtuber named "thierry vigneau Boiserie" or "La Boiserie", who do really stupidly fun videos with scrapped cars, and I imagine this... thing is a bit of an hommage from a fan to his channel, because it's definitly something that he would do on his channel (the bmw wheel might be an easter egg to his channel too, because bmw are the cars that he's wrecking the most)
ALSO, at 2:29, "Vilebrequin Approved" is also an easter egg to an other youtube channel named Vilebrequin, and these guys are basicaly the french equivalent of Top Gear, but "Clarkson era". AND this year, they actualy WILL be the presenters of French Top Gear.
So... yeah, in case that's not obvious: Flying Fries IS French xD

Hrmm, this is funny and ludicrously good for freeware and all, but honestly, i feel it's too smooth and high-performance.
I'd actually kinda love a realistic-ish sort of scrap-built aircraft, something that really feels like it's about to fall apart and can just about manage to stay in the air with a lot of work from the pilot. Sounds like a fun challenge. :p
