took me a couple of hours, wiped few times with 1 hp left from final.
i had tried this a bit ago when i was going for solo flawless with old rocket strats and got rly close many times but gls are just much more simple currently, goldie damage glitch helps too :3

quite fun challenge, i didn’t realize i got a goldie chunk on first damage so i was abt to wipe lol.
but its so free with it.
can def clear without it but i wanna move onto different challenges gg
the way my jaw dropped when you did the backwards sword swing and i realized "oh this is gonna be on controller! powerful!"

Solo 2 phase and then full 6 people LFG fireteams struggling and moaning about this encounter because they have to make 2 phase in Pantheon lol
This is an impressive feat to do in the first place, but on controller is actually nuts. Remembering where all of your loadout swaps are too is insane.
Definitely impressive like extremely but I wouldn’t say it’s too impressive remembering your loadout swaps. Once youv done it enough times it would kinda just become common knowledge
@@adamboy0559 oh sure. i play M&K, so loadout swaps are easy for me to remember. I just think the feat of doing this on controller is crazy impressive
@@pasttense69 I’m also controller and loadout swaps aren’t hard to remember being able to solo explicator like this tho is definitely still a massive achievement

Where you using cataphract so you can use the mod that lets you inravel the boss? Does decent amount of dmg to where its worth using it over apex for explicator this season?
i dont even think i had those mods on tbh.
i had tried 2 phase with rockets before few months ago and got very close but never tried again until now. no reason as to why i used cataphract i just wanted to try it and compare it to rockets but ended up clearing pretty quick.
both are fine, i think gls take less brain power

May i ask what is a goldie chunk? And what causes it
when my golden gun shot does more damage than intended and “chunks” the health bar. i do not know what causes it but many things in the game can cause damage chunking, it is seemingly random from what i know

Is edge transit not a better choice than cataphract?
they’re practically the same, i think maybe cataphract has slightly better mag size with adept mag but it doesn’t make a big difference for this and i don’t have an edge transit
On controller is absolutely absurd, honest to god didn’t think it could be done

hew could you show your controller binds and sensitivity at some point? and do you use a controller with paddles?
sensitivity is 20, 0.7 ads. i play double claw on default ps5 controller, no paddles.
my binds are kinda complicated and i’ve been changing them for months but i think i’m pretty happy with them now and i get this question a lot so maybe i’ll make a clip on my twitch showing them off.
Getting a bind set with 2 diff buttons for charged/uncharged melee, all 8 skate types, snap canceling and executes on console is annoying without paddles. You'll need the d pad for sure.
@@johnflory3306 exactly, i have up on the d pad as my dodge and right as my swap to heavy weapon which makes sword skating/fake skating so much easier
@vvyrin I put up as ult for well, circle/b as dive. Might be better off swapping to yours but the muscle memory 😭

no, i’m pretty sure goldie surge bug consistently buffed the damage of golden gun which has now been patched for a while. a goldie chunk is random and i think could happen when surge bug was still a thing too but it’s basically just a glitch with the health bar where any damage source can do more damage than intended and i happened to have my goldie “chunk” the health bar slightly in this run on my first damage phase.
@@vvyrin actually "goldie chunk" does 2-time goldie damage judging by the health bar, so it's still very hard to solo explicator in 2 phases on hunter without giltch since bns got nerfed. Besides I find u lost ur throwing knife in 2nd phase, which happened to me as well lol.
@@kevinken6077 i’ve had multiple runs with it being 1 gl shot from sending to final, i wouldn’t say it’s very hard it’s just tight, you just need to be early and fast with the rotation but it’s very doable.
@@vvyrin hmmm... then edge transit would clutch, with ea/cascade + bns.(too painful to grind this roll )
im still amazed how ppl on controller can do crazy stuff like this.

I don't understand how you know which plants to run where unless your killing lieutenants on one side and getting the planets memorized then shooting the nut and doing the same for the other side.
thats basically it,
when i jump backwards at 0:14 i read the planets on that side (2 and 5) and remember them, then spawn the colossus on the other side, shift any of the top planets twice (0:20) as im not going to shift tops in the first go, kill the colossus then read that side at 0:30 and proceed to shift the bottom planets.
Another question I have is how do you maintain your ammo while hot swapping? Whenever I do it my ammo count decreases.
@@starpreacher01 ngl ammo conversion can be complicated and i definitely do not understand it enough so i usually just copy what others use or just test it until i get the amount i need.
for explicator specifically when im picking up ammo for merciless i use hollow denial (lead from gold trace rifle) and i know when i get to 533 ammo thats with running backup mag only and no reserve mods (i have those for my gl) 533 trace converts to exactly 2 mags of merciless which is what i need for my damage rotation.
for more ammo or different weapons it can get complicated and you may need a loadout specifically used for ammo conversion, which is what i do in nezarec for example since i need to have 3 mags or merciless.
