O que aconteceu foi que ele fez uma cirurgia para tirar uns calos vocais, por conta de mudanças drásticas de clima pelas inúmeras viagens e ate uso demasiado da voz como ele relata no livro. Mas não mudou muito e não prejudicou em nada sua performance. Tanto que continua cantando Take no me ate hoje.
