    My absolute favourite royals. Mary is so beautiful, elegant and down to earth and Frederick has always been Prince Charming. They are a wonderful couple and a very much loved King and Queen of Denmark.❤️

    Beautiful ensemble! I have always respected how Mary handled her marriage. It isn't easy to learn Danish at 30!
    I can't believe it's been 20 years! I remember watching it through a live feed.
    Mary's wedding dress was designed by Frank Uffe. Halstein's workshop created the dress, put it together, as Uffe and his workshop was located in Rome.

    I love Queen Mary, her style is always on point for the formal occasion. I am British she often reminds me of The Current Princess of Wales Katerine.

      Marry was never Aussie. She was Australian born, with two Scottish born transient parents.
      Marry also gave up her Australian citizenship, to marry Fred. Being Australian born, doesn’t automatically make one an Aussie, nor does holding an Australian passport.

      @@pattisonpattison3639Following along the lines of your logic, half the Australian population must not really be Aussies as half had either parents or grandparents who arrived here from other places eg my parents arrived here from Holland 60 yrs ago and I was born and raised here. Something must be wrong with me as I don’t feel Dutch at all 😂😂

      If being born Australian and having an Australian passport doesn't make you Australian, then what does? Of course she is Australian!@@pattisonpattison3639

      @@pattisonpattison3639 Of course she is Australian. She was born there. Australia is a country of immigrants. Only the Aboriginal people have a long history there.

      @@snowbear1877 even the Aboriginals came to Australia, albeit on foot. My point was that Mary was never Aussie, because we are generations born here. But yes Mary was Australian born, and gave up her Citizenship, & Australian Passport, to marry Fred. Thus Mary returns to Australia as a visitor.
      The UK is also nations of migrants.

    Queen Mary's dress is too simple for this stately occasion. Again, one's hairdo can make or break a tiara and although this is an amazingly beautiful tiara/parure but this first occasion, Queen Mary did not shine as bright as she should. Queen Mary needs some serious impressive gowns and a specialist hair stylist to make these tiaras sparkled more.

      You really are not understanding what is correct and what's in the best taste. Less is ALWAYS best. Obviously you've been overly schooled in questionable taste by the Brits: they don't even have taste in their mouths, as my mother used to say.

    • @gilgabe
      @gilgabe Před 3 měsíci +1

      @@meeeka I didn't quite comprehend what you really meant by "what is correct or the best taste" until you mentioned what your mother used to say then I concluded maybe the social/economic environment where you came from must had something to do with your views on this subject. Then I have to remind myself that this is Denmark one is talking about here, most of the jewels in the Danish collection came from other royal houses anyways specially from Sweden & Germany so you Danes, I would assume you are Danish, have never been used to grandeur or pomp & circumstance anyways. Queen Mary being Australian coming from Tasmania may not be the type of person who will shine or will exude glamour not to say she is not glamorous. All I am stating is that the dress Queen Mary wore for the State visit of Norway is the same dress she wore at the wedding of Prince Carl of Sweden which does not make the dress exactly a good choice in my humbled opinion even though it looks like she must have some fabric removed from the dress as it looks smaller now. Again, this is Denmark we are talking about here, and Queen Margrethe spent her entire reign wearing only few dresses over and over again therefore one can assume it is a tradition in Denmark because there is a precedent for Queen Mary.
