- EVE Online is an undeniably fascinating game, but it isn't for everyone. That's why we enlisted Max to share his experiences as a fan of the game, including his corp experience, the moment-to-moment gameplay, and more!

Now that I barely login and yet still have an effect on the Nullsec metagame - now I understand Eve Online.
excellent video about why someone would like Eve Online
Yeah I quit the game with previous toons after 5 years playing. then rejoined a year back.just can't find the motivation :c
I did same and started again month ago... WOW, big changes since I left and more coming next month.
Indeeds, Reminds me how the game used to be around 2008 - little but thought out changes.
True but as total highsec indy pilot since 2008 I joined nullsec corp in big alliance and now having a great time again. Still doing indy, plus joining in great fleets and learning to fly ships I could only imagine before
no adrenaline? put a plex in you cargo while you fly in the lowsec
Low Sec? you don't even have to go to low sec with plex and risk death...go to Jita with plex, just as risky as going to null
null is not risky
ok Low sec
Actually, null is the safest space in EVE, even if you're a solo player.
wait how come? i thought its the most dangerous place...
I decided one day to travel through the wild lands in an amarr shuttle becase i wanted to see whats out there. got exploded by a vexor in the first null sec system lol
The dude on the left is younger than my first rifter.
The coolest thing of EVE is that everything is PVP. Even buy/sell is PVP action, and you can change the hole envyroment just doing so.
we need a EVE pilot to help our DUST514 Corp. R-A-P-T-U-R-E could you help us?
+7-GOLD-BARS-7 - Better hurry!
+Brackynews yep too late Dust is gone May 30 2016. Corp is done lol
Orbitals for EVERYONE!
theres so much sexual tension in this room
"a corp bought everyone free beer"
Was at Fanfest 2014 I can vouch: It did indeed happen and It was as beautiful as it sounds.
Its like two gay guys on a first date nerding over EvE.
So when will play eve online, better than hoi4 competitive germany
Personal expirience?
Is it me or does it always seem like they are miming drinking coffee? They never seem to actually swallow and the cups sound empty.
i am so glad I wasnt the only one who saw this. Empty coffee cups and pretend sipping....AUUGHHH
The lid to the cup never has any coffee drips on it. You can't drink out of a cup like that without a little coffee overflow on the lid.
If you listen to the guy on the lefts cup when he puts it down at 1:43 you hear the hollowness of the cup. There’s no coffee in that cup!
You can't be a nonconformist if you don't drink coffee.
Was there even any coffee in those cups...
+Cornholio I agree, it's rather obvious and makes this video feel cheap...like a silly sitcom with empty cups.
No, just soy
KISS ALREADY
3:30 - this story is false. Or at least it's a conflation of a couple of independent stories. Yes there was a protest over microtransactions where people were shooting at the Jita Monument, they didn't damage it at the time, but after the problems were addressed the developers changed the model and damage to reflect the amount of firepower inflicted upon it.
There was also the Caldari Titan in Luminaire which was attacked by a combined force of hundreds of ships, unfortunately because it has 99% resists a small force of caldari loyalists was able to keep it repped. The titan was later destroyed in a live event involving Eve & Dust.
there were actually a few high sec NPC stations that were destroyed during the protests By dreads back in this day capitals and supers could roam freely across high sec
and concord could be tanked they didn't insta kill
Please, you have to unbutton that top button, it's really messing with my head
give him a break, hes trying so hard to be a rebel
The button is there for a reason. To be buttoned. So...
People are being ridiculous with their hate for Nick's so called "hipsterness". Its as if you've never met anyone who dresses with button ups
I'm not hating, he can do what he pleases, it's his shirt on his body, but I am concerned.... btw I haven't met any hipsters
Being a young person myself, I can tell you that wearing button shirts with the top button buttoned is pretty common. My mom always told me not to button the top button unless I wear a tie, and it makes sense, but in the end it's a fashion thing. Fashion is something that changes, and if it's moving to having that top button buttoned then so be it. It's not a hipster thing since a hipster (in terms of style) is someone who wears things that is very far from the normal current fashion and is almost to very ridiculous. Nick isn't being a hipster at all, he is just following a fashion trend that is more popular among younger people.
Eve is like the first time you had sex. For the first few years you're just fumbling around not knowing what you're doing, then you're like, whatever....fat chicks need love to.
LOL! That is perfect,
wow virgin
I hope you guys are working on new show formats. I am not sure how productive it is to have Coffee Talk and Casual Friday around the same run length, the same delivery, and the same prop gimmick. They're really running the risk of diluting each other. What makes Friday so casual when mon-thursday everybody is just shooting the bull drinking coffee, beer? Idk why but personally I can't stand seeing dudes constantly grab their coffee mugs awkwardly while they wait to talk. I don't think anybody is going to lose any sleep if you just got rid of the damn coffee cups for starters. The Valiant Hearts video was perfectly fine without it.
You guys can't get by relying on what worked for Adam because he established credibility to the audience over many years of work as a television personality; credibility that frankly y'all don't have (yet). You guys already know his skillset is different from y'alls, accentuate your strengths and hide your weaknesses. Maybe you guys can try to unveil or create game scenes to get subscribers more involved and show the positive things that make us love games in the first place.
not all EVE online players are hidden in the closet though.
This channel has gotten really awesome. Keep being you guys, it's pretty refreshing to see.
Eve starts after a year or playing. After that time you have fairly good understanding of mechanics and tactics, and enough SP to fit reasonable DPS, unless you bought a ready char.
Wrong, eve starts when you really want it to, depends on who got you there, what you learn, who you meet, everything in your experience can change if you meet THE right person. SP is not much in your experience.
EVE Starts when you have 3 accounts, 9 alts. 1 main, 2 support alts, 3 isk making alts, 2 supers, 1 titan
join PL
real game begins
Eve starts when you have a great corp who helps out and gets involved. Giving you free ships to join them on roams, wormholes and missions. Giving you tips on what to train on first depending on what you want to do.
Eve doesn't start. You start.
This is my favorite Eve Online story ever. kotaku.com/eve-player-stalked-for-years-by-very-patient-punks-1576578161
A group of people stalked this guy for two years to destroy/steal (not quite sure which) his ship which is one of the biggest/best in the game supposedly. They had to follow his other accounts and watch his interactions for two years LOL. wtf haha
Ahahaha, that's amazing! I love his incredulous reaction in the chat logs: "how the ufck, lol" -Nick
That is Pandemic Legion style there is another one, i think maybe its the same, on themittani website which seems down right now, there is a history called "PL nabs another titan in lowsec"
Maffa, As a 4 year EvE player I will tell you there are about 400-800 players that take the game WAY too seriously (EvE is a job to them, like 9-5 Job). Luckily there are thousands of us that have nothing to do with that type of crazy. Its fun as hell with a group of like minded fun folks.
-He did not urinate in the other man's cup, therefore I do not believe that he is an Eve player.
Nosmaclear that is funny!!!!!
Why is every video now casual friday or coffee talk? Lack of creativity? Laziness? "reviews are too hard"? This is a sinking ship.
Shows take a while to produce. I completely agree that I would like to see more, but it's gonna take a while for them to get new ideas running.
that and there really aren't any big games coming out, watchdogs maybe... other than that I'm really not sure what there is
***** Wolfenstein and Transister just came out, Child of Light came out, no review for either.
gimpinmypants There is a review for Transistor. The review was posted 2 days ago but yeah there really haven't been many reviews in awhile. Not many games come out during the summer though. We will probably get reviews of Watch Dogsa and Wolfenstein at some point I guess.
Agreed.
This channel is just becoming some kind of pretentious mess.
It's like they honestly believe so much that their sheer presence and them talking about something, has any entertainment or creative value what so ever.
This is probably why Sessler left beyond him wanting to just try new things.
He was just probably tired of how "gaming shows/media" is becoming more about some fresh college grads with pointless degrees who play Mario Kart rather than people who genuinely play and are excited about games.
I love Max and now I love him even more.
they should have showed the mmo learning curve image with EvE online, it's freaking hilarious! :)
Also, been playing Eve online for around a year, it's a game where you kind of need to set goals yourself, because you can do way more than the game tries to show through the early (training) missions, and pretty much more than any other game, and it allows a lot of evilness too, and yet consists of many friendly players. :)
EvE is a game for people who kind of wants choice and yet understands the danger of it, also the risk vs reward factor, is kind of huge in EvE.
You nailed it that is exactly how it feels to be eve player when you need to tell someone how it is like and not how you play (Like guy in video)
always wondered this same exact thing myself... thanks for the video!!
I'd watch the documentary, & I don't play EVE. I like the idea of EVE; it's definitely not for me, but it sounds cool.
Is that JonTron's brother on the left?
7:37 haha perfect timing! i get adrenaline rush in a "small fleet" than in any other game, 3 sec later a footage of a supersblob
8:07 Max: "That's where I think I really fall in love with the game because I am feeling something I don't feel in any other game or even real life. I am a part of a group and I feel like I'm responsible to do a good job."
Rev3Games: "o hai"
ಠ_ಠ
Excellent revision about eve online,, well done, subscribed to your channel.
Drinking coffee has never looked so awkward lol...
I remember trying to talk to someone who played EVE. Said he was a pro, played for years.
Then he asked me which server I played on.
Technically there is two servers, Chinese and Everyone else. The Serenity server has a mind of its own and some English players do play there.
True, but the guy didn't know any of that.
Yeah fair enough, not many people do TBH.
Anybody know the title of the Giraffage song in the background? I haven't had much luck finding it on his site. TIA.
mud slinger Did you have any luck finding the track?
I'd like to start trying EVE but my laptop begs for death whenever i try to play it. If you were to talk to EVE players again could you ask what are good tips for people starting out? I know you've mentioned joining a corps.
I would say planetside / planetside 2 would also fit in this kind of social game. Yrs it's more about the moment to moment action but it's all about being in a group performing a role and performing it well to make a difference on the continent.
Can he say "like" anymore times? Please? I just want to hear it again and again and again. Like I play Eve too and I don't say "like" like that much. HAHA! Eve is AWESOME!
I think that he was so genuinely into EVE, that he used the word "like" so much. That usually happens when you are excited about something...and sometimes I do it.
I'm way into Eve and I don't say it that much. Like I really like Eve like so much! 😛
I usually stop listening to people when they chain "like" 20 times in a minute. Then I am amused by the story not because I am actually listing to them anymore, but because I count all the "likes".
EVE online is not a a game, it is a chat window with pretty pictures.
Great video, coming as a veteran player watching this video, I enjoyed it.
Nick should learn about small gang pvp in Eve. Nothing dry about that...
on thing about EvE that really set itself apart from most other games...Death in game matters.
Many old games used to be absolutely harsh with regards to death. I guess times changed.
eve online is not for the majority of gamers because is hard at first and it requires more than just shoot something, which is pretty much outside most gamers comfort zone. what i love about eve online is that you need to research and study aspects of the game to be good at it, is slow and very tactical, everything matters here steps by step to get out alive from a battle or just a random fight. awareness of everything. you can loose work of hours in seconds if you are not careful sounds bad but is actually intense and fun to feel that dying matters a lot.
Hearing you talk about 'Corps' reminds me of the 'Platoons' in Planetside, where the real 'fun' and 'epic' feel comes about when you actively join and participate in that social and organized environment. Making that connection helps me better understand why certain people are drawn to EVE
No dust mention?
fuck sake, now i'm gonna have to re-sub
Thank you so much for talking about EVE. I don't even play but wish it would be mentioned more because it continues to be relevant. Also i really enjoy coffee time. You are really appealing to a demographic I haven't seen represented much on rev3games so far.
I have a hard time explaining to myself why I like Eve online, but this really puts it into perspective. Thanks
6:09 I totally agree with that
spend 100 hours mining to make ship that you lose in minute after docking, eve FTW
How the hell did you lose it AFTER docking? :)
well i havent lost anything and yes its supposed to be undocking heh.... but try undocking in jita with 100M-1B in cargo with ship with no tank and see if you get shop.
vargurlord Man, i do it quite often. Have you ever heard of the undocking safespots? :)
i have but if you look how much shit is lost in jita most ppl dont seem to have
vargurlord Who cares about those who dont understand the game mechanics? They were designed to suffer :)
I wholeheartedly echo the sense of accomplishment and general..well feels you get from EVE, I've killed Arthas, killed Deathwing, beat the Dread Council, was the first on my server to get HK-51 when he came out, done plenty other "omg end game achievement" stuff in many MMOs and nothing compares to how I feel even just doing something as simple as soloing a lvl 5 mission in EVE which is the equivalent of running a max level daily. The sheer level of risk-reward in EVE makes everything so much more worthwhile and awesome and impactful.
When you first hear of massive battles in Eve you think of massive space opera battles (Star Trek etc) yet when you see actual footage of battles all you see in the eyes of the common man is a mass of ships drifting in space firing lasers at each other.
I'm literally just starting out on EVE since it became free to play and i just got done with the tutorial. It looks like i'll be able to get into the game itself, but given things going on IRL, i intend to take advantage of the new free to play bit so i won't be spending money on a game i am not playing as much as i'd like to. Also i'll be kinda afraid to really get into many fights given that if my ship gets destroyed, i'll lose literally everything on and in the ship itself.
If you stick to cheap ships you can PVP a lot. If you join a big alliance they usually have a SRP "Ship Replacement Program" where you are reimbursed for your losses while in a PVP fleet.
Duran Predur really? If that's the case, i'll consider it after doing a ton of missions to get used to the controls more.
also making isk can be easy
Is Nick wearing a Chinese dress?
Nick, you are one fanny pack short of looking like a tourist taking a ride on the Pie Coaster on "What Would You Do."
The meta gaming that goes on in player formed alliances and coalitions is truly staggering to behold. I've heard stories of how some alliance heads during major wars don't even login they're just present in skype calls while organizing attacks and economics via excel spreed sheets. They just intake, organize, and relay information, making huge game decisions without even technically playing the game.
Dust 514 is the closes to EVE I want to get
Too bad its been canceled and being turn in the project Legion. It'll be on PC
NakaNakaNaka So he can transfer his character to legion in the future and play there.
*****
i have a console and pc. ive played eve for 6 years now.
so much for your genes...
they really need to get dust for pc and/or the new consoles... i mean who plays ps3 now when new consoles have been released and even then theres always the PC platform where most of eve players reside.
I would play dust... if it was on pc. -.-
Waste of a game to limit it on last gen console.
Otakahunt Brace yourself - Project Legion is coming
ScorpyX
the heck is that?
eve is the best game ever made
+MystiKasT evenati confirmed :D
i play eve now for 11 years and i can say is that the community is the part that makes eve unique
indeed
I think what draws people to the game is that when you earn something in EVE you actually earn it and it means something to you. When you lose something in EVE you actually lose something and it means something to you. Every action in EVE has consequences and rewards. That is how EVE grows on you.
+Lawrence Rouse lmao.. i swear i almost cried when i lost my faction fitted machariel for the first time wich i kept alive for 2 years... i guess i got too attached to it... : ) and im like almost 30... little adult infant haha... :D
Google just bought Twitch for $1 billion. Any thoughts on that?
Actually they didn't. The deal is still being ironed out. It could end up being more or less than 1 billion dollars. There are a lot of things to decide when making that big of a deal.
www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2014/05/19/report-youtube-to-buy-twitch-for-1-billion.aspx
It's borderline rumor and the deal is in such an early stage that you can't say ANYTHING about even the deal itself.
My thoughts? It would signal the end of free internet streaming.
The stupid CZcams stream feature would either get replaced with twitch (although the name kept) or they would have a Frankenstein mosh pit between the two.
Let's not forget the founders of twitch would become rich
I hope the deal doesn't go through, but if it does I hope the accounts and the subscription stuff transfers over
they bought CZcams and look how annoying it has become, they'll just do the same with twitch =/
Wheres Scott Bromely!? More rabit hole!!!
P.s. Where did max scoville go? He hasn't been in a video for a while.
Max can be found on the Destructoid CZcams channel; he is no longer with Rev3Games, and honestly, I don't blame him.
Scott is gone, too. He's not doing anything right now.
He got sucked into his own rabbit hole.
A while!? Damn dude where have you been hahah. Max left almost a whole year ago.
Kyle Kirschner Why dont you blame him?
I love eve because of the social aspect and find fleets with others really fun
There is a huge documentary being written about corps, alliances, history of EVE, spies and infiltration, etc like you mentioned in 8:40... its called "A History of the Great Empires of EVE Online" it is currently in writing ATM
oh wait NVM i see you liked it almost a minute later........ lmfao
watch clarion call 3 by Rooks and Kings to see a good movie about eve
Adam Sessler. Please.............................come.............back.
please.
without him this channel is boring.
roughly, a total shit
I just started playing EvE about 3 weeks ago after not playing for like 3 years. I always come back because EvE truly is a one of a kind experience. It is not for everyone though, the learning curve is very steep but it also feels very rewarding.
I loved the part of EVE Online where my friends and I started the game and went to low sec and 0.0 hunting in Rifters.. but after a while it just became this thing where you were floating through space for hours hoping to god to find a miner or someone on your level to fight.
This guy is so terrible at trying to explain this game...seriously...
+TheNaomeister proper care bear too, which makes it sound even more boring than it is.
like like like like like like like like
Probably one of the most accurate descriptions of what the draw of EVE is
Its really amazing where in EVE online you are not the hero or anyone special except a cog in the wheel. But yet as you play you actually have real significance in effecting the outcomes of certain situations. Its a far more richer experience vs. the traditional MMO setup where everyone is the hero.
EVE is real.
inb4 people that don't play it immediately disregard this comment, but competitive Pokemon has the steepest learning curve of any game I've played unless you come from a background of Chess or something similar (Which helps eliminate some of learning playstyles and strategy studying). Learning all the mechanics, playstyles, current meta and what to expect from any team you encounter isn't easy. That said, I've never played EVE so it might be more difficult.
I've played both down to their meta games and I can assure you that EVE Online is much harder to learn than Pokemon.
I'm sure competitive Pokemon is difficult in its own way, but just in terms of time you need to invest and skills/mechanics you need to learn to play the game on a competent level, Eve is without a doubt much more difficult.
***** Learning 718 different potential movesets is definitely difficult, so I feel like "without a doubt" is a little dismissive. But good to know that it's more difficult.
"Learning 718 different potential movesets is definitely difficult"
The most basic ship in eve is the "noobship" which has a total of 6 modifiable "slots" in 3 power tiers (high, medium and low) there are four "racial" variants of the noobship and other pirate faction variants that are considerably rarer (and more expensive)
The potential modules available from the market that could be fitted to any one of these slots number in the hundreds for each individual slot AND hundreds again for the tier.
The fitting potentials of every ship in the game (of wich there are hundreds) with up to eight slots per tier (there is also a class of ship with a 4th tier slot layout) and with well over thousands of items available to fit to any one of these slots in theri respective tiers... the possible permutations would number in the 100's of millions ... or maybe even billions.
And thats just the stuff you can actually fit to a ship... the majority of items in eve cannot be fitted to ships, couple this with the fact that you cant really buy anything to fit to your ship unless someone makes it with resources they gathered themselves wich they then sell to you for a nice little profit.
You can possibly begin to see signs... that pokemon aint shit when hundreds of 18km long titans sit for 19 hours punching each other in the face while litterally thousands of players perform their roles as the support fleet around these behemoths... and all the while, a few fleet commanders at fights like these are fully aware of how the enemy fleet of thousands of ships are fitted and has a strategy all planned out as to how best to counter.
Eric Jackson
Competitive Pokemon doesn't have deception, spying, stealing, and battle orcas.
my favorite story of eve is somebody found out where a titan pilot lived in real went to their house and cut their power during a battle.
EVE is really only a spreadsheet at the start. When you learnt it it is fun. I played EVE in high sec for years before I was able to get into a big nullsec alliance, it was only then I understood how EVE really worked. When you are in a fight that where 10.000 players are fighting each other seperated in 3 fleets you just can't go back to a game where a fight with 20-30 players is a huge fight.
ew i was looking for videos about eve online and I accidentally clicked this gay flirting video
More like yum
+Sardonic88 please papi. Give me the AID
these are very feminine men
+CaptnxKnuckles And think, these guys are smarter than you or I will ever be, that's the most disturbing fact. If you enjoy playing EVE Online, you're smart, sociopathic and hold no value for human life... Think about that.
+Argentspear I always thought was smartish...I've played eve and yes it does require mental capacity but it's not rocket science
+Argentspear I got a high IQ and I did not find this game challenging nor intellectual, only its social aspect are interesting as an experiment to study but you can say the same with other mmo's
+Argentspear lmao.. i love eve.. i've been called sociopath... and i think humans are worthless beasts on this planet.. :d i guess u nailed a profile of a typical eve player.. just kidding... if u wanna see really bad people.. find Goonswarm... everyone hates those fuckers.. :D
+Lord Zephyros Where exactly did you "get" your high IQ, I too would like to get one.
Rev3, let's have a frank discussion about your future. You guys are facing tumultuous times, but I feel as though Nick's suggestion would help you out. There is going to be a live-action series, there are comics, books etc. that deal with the Eve universe, and everyone seems to love reading about it as well. I suggest you start a documentary series about Eve, it should pull in quite a few viewers.
eve isn't just a game. it's a life style
video should be relabeled as: "What's it like to have no life?"
So that's why you clicked it. Good for you.
I used to watch Rev3 for reviews, game footages, Adam's and Tara's thoughts on upcoming games and gaming issues.
What I see now is this guy Nick in every video. Coffee talks are honestly boring, I only watched half of the first one and now I skip all of them.
If that's the only thing Rev3 is going to focus now, I ll unsubscribe ...
I really think the draw of EvE is mastering the complex system - and about being able to reach your chosen goal and figuring out how to do it.
+DBExplorer Could well be. The vastness and the challenge of gameplay is truly impressive. Started playing some 12 years ago and just today I looked at an overview of how to manufacture some of the most advanced ships. It's a figure with about 20 boxes representing various sources for salvage, materials, and manufactured components, blueprints etc in the process. Not something to which you just say "Ok, I'll get this done by myself over the weekend". It's not what it takes to master this game.
I would actually like to see a documentary about EVE online.
Goonswarm.
thus guy kinda doesn't know what he is talking about from my opinion....:/
+xXAlmakXx No? As far as explaining it to someone who doesn't play he did fine..
If you say so. He made a couple things sound like things you HAVE to do to be successful in eve online that just isnt true.
Did Adam leave Rev3games? I've been behind on the videos lately but am now just noticing that he hasn't been in any videos as of late. Did he leave or is he just taking a break? Please someone answer my question, I really want to know. Thank you!
Man I'm totally late and I found this video trying to explain an EVE player and you hit it right on the head. I just love the spreadsheets and wife looks at me crazy like why u waste your time on charts just play the game. But the faction fights are so good especially with small groups a bunch of frigs or cruisers and just hit about your weight class type of fun. Yeah this game is for nerds lol so worth it and satisfying.
I'd be interested in a eve documentary
Me and 17 of my friends are in the same corp on EVE and we had sooooooooo much money and then one day one of our friend took everything and bought a massive ship and set out to hunt each and every one of us but then when we were at school the next day we would just laugh about it and we wouldn't get angry about each other. We would just say "only in EVE"
The first ceo of eve was my cousin and one of the programers is my friend's dad so you can say im pretty conected to the game.
Good review!
Such a shame Rev3 closed down. CZcams needs more gaming channels putting out content like this.
Cool segment, can we have more What's It Like to Be A (insert game here)?
LoL, DotA2, World of Tanks. :))
From their description, this reminds me of Starwars Galaxies before they tried to make it like other MMOs.
I love that he can't quite explain what he does, and why that makes EVE so great. When people ask me about EVE, I stumble on the very same problem. Yes, we spend a large amount of time just sitting, but it is the bigger meta-game that makes EVE so great. I sometimes spend more time doing EVE stuff without even being logged in, and this is amazing!
This game has seen me through some of my hardest, darkest times of my life. It was just having my corp mates, and my responsibilities in my corp, that kept me from calling it quits in RL. EVE is bigger than the game itself, and I think that is what makes it so great.
Wow Nick your pretty much the face of Rev3Games, being in pretty much EVERY VIDEO! XD
7 years into the game i still get nervous in fleets sometimes
Subbed. Yes, I play eve too. It's really a sand box. you spend hours building it, and then seconds defending it, or kicking someone else's sand castle over.
Did he make a pass at that guy in the end?
I enjoy the spreadsheets they are fun to make imo, but the best part of eve is the pvp its so fun
Any game can use spreadsheets. I contend that the need for spreadsheets correlates directly to how complex and potentially enjoyable a game is.
years ago i read about a massive scam in eve online that generated billions of dollars in game. the guy who created and ran the scam wrote an article explaining it all. does anyone know what im talking about? i want to read that again but cant remember how to find it.
I think the best way to describe playing EvE as being similar to being on a Sports team in College. You spend a lot of time training and getting in shape for the thrill of a single game that doesn't last that long.
Most people want a video game that is jump in fill their power fantasy of slaughtering their foes with the instant gratification. That's why all the games are going more casual with less consequences and thus less challenge.
