He wouldn't look so striking if he weren't such an interesting person. And I have to agree that he really knows how to use his looks as a part of his performance.

Notice they use a level-headed, logical man to interview Peter. That's playing it safe. Any female interviewer would be nervous, fidget, show inappropriate interest and get off track with flirtation.
