Enjoy.

This is my fav, by far. TY for the review.
Thanks for reviewing, Jim.
Have not tried this one and to be honest, I'm not very curious as well. Justtoo many other interesting whiskies on the already long try-out / bucketlist. And the fact that it's chill-filtered will not put it on the bucketlist ... on the contrary. Enough others that are unchill-filtered, let's first try those.
Slàinte mhath
I've not been actively looking for this one, but i'll be part of a whisky tasting next weekend so we'll see.
Nice review! It is very nice to see where you are happy and where you are perhaps somewhat disappointed.
Looks like this stuff is worth trying!
Btw: On the German market the 10, 12 and 16 YO Benriachs that all have 46% (smoky or not) and even the "Heart of Speyside" at 40% are explicitly sold as "non-chill-filtered" by my favourite online supplier. But you are right: they should put it on the label!
The Kilkerran is 12,-- € more for me.
Had a wee jaunt to the US last week. Picked up a Benriach 10, Green Spot Montelena and a Glenallachie 12 - all new to me. I'd also gotten myself a wee Benriach 12 recently - both Benriachs non-peated - there's a shocker! Enjoying them both. 10 is full of honey notes. The 12 is jammy. :).
Nice review, do like Benriach.
I'm glad the hint of wet silage was not mistaken for the other farmyard 'favourite', i.e. skitter 😉; that in itself would have my old mucker from Holywood smiling into his Bushmills Black Bush 😁.
An interesting and revealing review Jim; looking forward to the next wee offering.
Good review Jim, just ordered a bottle from MoM, looking forward to trying it🥃
They smoky 10 I really like. 'Fully peated*, but gives you more too. Sweet, rummy from the rum casks, fruity, summery.
Nice and rounded, and positively unfiltered. My recommendation for some1 wabting to get into peat.
* wanting to get into peat.
Great review Jim, totally agree as I bought it alongside the non-peated 12yo but my expectations were dashed as I didn't feel the peat. I thought it was just my novice palate!
Dissing KK12??? You're right, it can't be everyone's jam. I just don't get peat. It's funky and bold but I would not say it's peaty
Could the Balvenie 14 The week of peat be a good alternative also?
This one is not chillfiltered, according to Whiskybase. Put some water in it...if it's get cloudy...it's NOT chillfiltered
It's filtered at Rachel Barries discretion, and I don't think she's a fan of filtering in general.
Their 43 percent-ers, such as the non-peated 10 year old, and presumably the 16 year old may be their only filtered expressions.
