A fun fact is that the track list it's called "Blues" because if you take a look at the Indigo cover, It's a picture of RM next to a painting by Yun Hyong-keun. This painting has 10 shades of blue and was what inspired RM to make this album... Even the first track of the album is called 'Yun', and there he express that he shares the same sentiment as Yun and the song feels like RM is having a conversation with him. At first I’m a bit hesitate about Change P2 but when I listen to Closer and the reply in Change P2 - it make a lot more sense. I’m glad through RM I am expose to many different sound. RM was drunk in a hotel room when he seng this lyric sketch yo the producer he zznted to work with gor this track. They tried to recordbit clean bug nothing eorked as qell as RMs drunken ramble...well he is a certified genius.Non of BTS were singers they all learned in training. Jin who has now known as the silver voice in korea found singing hardest yet now he has range and power and collaborated with Cold Play for his single Astronaut. They joined as 2 rappers 2 dancers, a saxaphonist who could sing dance and beat box and rap all a little and who auditioned when he tagged along with a friend and was adked if hed like to try out because he was so good looking. Jin the oldest was in drama school and was picked off the street because he had the most handsome face the scout had ever seen.

I'm back again for day four! I looove closer but if I'm being honest change pt.2 isn't 100% my vibe. I like it but I don't love it and that's fine. It's definitely the most experimental song on the album and I'll give it to RM bc he's checking all the boxes! He's trying everything he wants to try and as a long-time fan, I'm open to anything he does. It's also fun to know that he recorded change pt.2 while he was drunk lol. It kinda makes the lyrics hit deeper tbh. And closer is just an overall bop! It's definitely a driving in the evening with the windows down kinda song. Great reaction! I really really love Change pt.2. It was the song that stood out to me first when I first heard the album: the beat and melody constantly changes just like in life things keep changing which can be chaotic sometimes. The song feels a bit chaotic, disorganized and the piano at the end is detuned. I think this was done intentionally to fit the feeling of how one feels when things in life change a lot. Also, RM said in a Weverse live that when he let his colleagues in the music industry hear the album, a lot of them really liked Change pt.2 bc it's so experimental.

Change pt 2 actually really fascinated me. I'm glad you thought the crazy beat switch-ups were to show change coz I certainly agree.. RM said that many of his musician friends really appreciate the track and I can see why. I'm kinda obsessed with the changing tempo, beat, detuned sounds and chromatic dissonance.. I really dislike things that sound like pure noise, but this certainly isn't noise. There's a method to the madness and it's actually really musical atonality.. It's a little jarring and unexpected in the same way that change trips us up and forces us to adjust. Add to that the fact that RM's voice on Change pt 2 is... wow. It makes me feel things lol.. RM said the producer eAeon is a genius and works like a mathematical architect. I love that RM really explored everything he wanted to. The main common thread in these songs is that the album is like an archive of his twenties. His previous mixtape, Mono, was very sonically cohesive, whereas this time, he wanted to create unrestricted by the boundaries of sound. He went wherever his story led. Both are absolute masterpieces!
Change pt.2 is amazing! It was my absolute love from the album at first listen. I think the production is great but he said it probably won't be everyone's thing but he said for musicians or people into music it will be more of a fav. Closer is great so I'm not saying it's bad at all but not in my top, probably my least fave on the album so I feel like I'm not following the norm here. But I really like Change pt.2. But also I listen to a lot of different kinds of music and I think people more into pop and simple beats might need some time to appreciate it too and also that it won't be somes taste. I'm glad he did what he wanted and didn't feel he needed it all to sound very cohesive, there is still a cohesiveness to the album.

We all know RM likes art, and there is a lot of reference to art like Still life in this album. Perhaps you should view this album like going through a museum where different type of art and paintings are hanging - some is easy to understand others are experimental and difficult to understand and what each of us take from this likes/dislikes are very individual. He wants to evoke different moods and feelings while he at the same time is telling us about some of what he went through during his twenties to become the person he is today. Regarding closer, change pt. 2 and lonely - they are all connected. I must be about a relationship he had in his mid twenties that just didn't work out and he was heartbroken about. But you have the sense when the album is finished that he has accepted that and is moving into his 30ties with optimisme. You have to listen to the whole album from start to finish and read all the lyrics, but when you do, you really learn a lot about what he is thinking.

Love both songs!!! How you doing? Joon is a whole artist and likes to explore of course, "what can I do? where can I do well if not rap?" I love Closer because it's the type of song I used to grow up with (not JB, sorry xD) And I'm love with Change pt 2 (he just released a live performance in a museum in New York!). Maybe because it sounds A LOT like an anime opening would xD and yeah, I grew up in those too. AFAIK you've already recorded all this so you know there is no straight rap song in here. BUT his pen goes beyond that and that's what he wants us to focus mostly. His flows are exquisite here and there, and he exploring his own (singing) voice is something ARMY has waited for a long time. Having said that, you can now go and check RM and mono. The first one has 80% hard-hitting sounds (maybe what you were looking for?) and mono is rap but slow and and it hits not with crazy beats (which some are fire) but with the embracing lyrics. Also, it's time you check agustD a bit more, I'd go with the mixtapes/albums. So that in a 30min session you get a feeling of where he's been, where he's at. AgustD and D-2 are the names. And finally, Hopeworld (shoutout to coleworld) and Jack in the Box I think will satisfy your hiphop/rap needs a lot :) Take care guys! I don’t know if that was his intention or not, but knowing the little I know about him I suspect the kind of discordant music from change pt2 has a purpose. The purpose to transmit the same sentiments as the lyrics of someone who messed up so much with your life at the point of even disrupt your own internal melody. Someone who is so toxic that can not let you go even knowing you moved on from them and loving maybe someone else. Change 2 is definitely nothing like Change with Wale. Change 2 is more experimental but Change 1 is a just an incredible song that should be a classic. No one is mad if you don't check it out but you should when you get a chance. You'll see when you do.

I looove closer but if I'm being honest change pt.2 isn't 100% my vibe. I like it but I don't love it and that's fine. It's definitely the most experimental song on the album and I'll give it to RM bc he's checking all the boxes!
He's trying everything he wants to try and as a long-time fan, I'm open to anything he does. It's also fun to know that he recorded change pt.2 while he was drunk lol. It kinda makes the lyrics hit deeper tbh.
And closer is just an overall bop! It's definitely a driving in the evening with the windows down kinda song. It's got a sexy vibe to it and I love that it's in english too, a little treat for the international fans. 😌👌

I really really love Change pt.2. It was the song that stood out to me first when I first heard the album: the beat and melody constantly changes just like in life things keep changing which can be chaotic sometimes. The song feels a bit chaotic, disorganized and the piano at the end is detuned. I think this was done intentionally to fit the feeling of how one feels when things in life change a lot. Also, RM said in a Weverse live that when he let his colleagues in the music industry hear the album, a lot of them really liked Change pt.2 bc it's so experimental.

The producers on this album are: RM (Namjoon), Logikal J, Ghstloop, Ninos Hanna, Emil Schmidt, Adam Kulling, Pdogg, John Eun, Honne, EAeon and Docskim. RM is rumored to be a feature on Pharrell's new album and I'm so looking forward to that! Definitely check out their Rolling Stone interview (print and video). Such a cool conversation between these two brilliant creators!
Change pt 2 actually really fascinated me. I'm glad you thought the crazy beat switch-ups were to show change coz I certainly agree..
RM said that many of his musician friends really appreciate the track and I can see why. I'm kinda obsessed with the changing tempo, beat, detuned sounds and chromatic dissonance.. I really dislike things that sound like pure noise, but this certainly isn't noise. There's a method to the madness and it's actually really musical atonality.. It's a little jarring and unexpected in the same way that change trips us up and forces us to adjust. Add to that the fact that RM's voice on Change pt 2 is... wow. It makes me feel things lol.. RM said the producer eAeon is a genius and works like a mathematical architect.
I love that RM really explored everything he wanted to. The main common thread in these songs is that the album is like an archive of his twenties. His previous mixtape, Mono, was very sonically cohesive, whereas this time, he wanted to create unrestricted by the boundaries of sound. He went wherever his story led. Both are absolute masterpieces!

Change pt.2 is amazing! It was my absolute love from the album at first listen. I think the production is great but he said it probably won't be everyone's thing but he said for musicians or people into music it will be more of a fav.
Closer is great so I'm not saying it's bad at all but not in my top, probably my least fave on the album so I feel like I'm not following the norm here. But I really like Change pt.2. But also I listen to a lot of different kinds of music and I think people more into pop and simple beats might need some time to appreciate it too and also that it won't be somes taste.
I'm glad he did what he wanted and didn't feel he needed it all to sound very cohesive, there is still a cohesiveness to the album.

Change part 2 is considered to be along the lines of Hyperpop i think !! I actually find it super interesting to listen to because it goes through so many changes (no pun intended) despite being a short song

Yun is a straight up hiphop song. It just has a neosoul influence like many rap artists.
We all know RM likes art, and there is a lot of reference to art like Still life in this album. Perhaps you should view this album like going through a museum where different type of art and paintings are hanging - some is easy to understand others are experimental and difficult to understand and what each of us take from this likes/dislikes are very individual. He wants to evoke different moods and feelings while he at the same time is telling us about some of what he went through during his twenties to become the person he is today. Regarding closer, change pt. 2 and lonely - they are all connected. I must be about a relationship he had in his mid twenties that just didn't work out and he was heartbroken about. But you have the sense when the album is finished that he has accepted that and is moving into his 30ties with optimisme. You have to listen to the whole album from start to finish and read all the lyrics, but when you do, you really learn a lot about what he is thinking.
RM said that change pt.2 is about persona change and how everyone around him changes as time passes, it's not a heartbreak song at all

Joon is a whole artist and likes to explore of course, "what can I do? where can I do well if not rap?"
I love Closer because it's the type of song I used to grow up with (not JB, sorry xD)
And I'm love with Change pt 2 (he just released a live performance in a museum in New York!). Maybe because it sounds A LOT like an anime opening would xD and yeah, I grew up in those too.
AFAIK you've already recorded all this so you know there is no straight rap song in here. BUT his pen goes beyond that and that's what he wants us to focus mostly. His flows are exquisite here and there, and he exploring his own (singing) voice is something ARMY has waited for a long time.
Having said that, you can now go and check RM and mono. The first one has 80% hard-hitting sounds (maybe what you were looking for?) and mono is rap but slow and and it hits not with crazy beats (which some are fire) but with the embracing lyrics.
Also, it's time you check agustD a bit more, I'd go with the mixtapes/albums. So that in a 30min session you get a feeling of where he's been, where he's at. AgustD and D-2 are the names. And finally, Hopeworld (shoutout to coleworld) and Jack in the Box I think will satisfy your hiphop/rap needs a lot :)

I don’t know if that was his intention or not, but knowing the little I know about him I suspect the kind of discordant music from change pt2 has a purpose. The purpose to transmit the same sentiments as the lyrics of someone who messed up so much with your life at the point of even disrupt your own internal melody. Someone who is so toxic that can not let you go even knowing you moved on from them and loving maybe someone else. Again, this is a very strong message…I can only imagine the courage he had to gather from the drunkenness and made this public😞. I admire his courage 💪❤
I loved Change Pt.2 as soon as I heard it, and would love to hear more experimental stuff from RM. If he needs to be drunk to do it, all the better.

Hi, i think you both still new to BTS lol what RM did with his album is piece of art he said watch everything in order nd to me also include the the promo , interviews videos etc, each one bring explanations and new way to see his art, was told by him this album was completely different. he is coming with a new one before or during his enlistment and once again have no idea what to expect but im sure i will love it because what he do is pure art like he once says HiS MUSIC IS NOT FOR EVERYONE and i love that part of him, they once mentioned that they want to create different music so when we go to their concerts we won’t get bored with same style of music lol change part 2 is my fav can’t get it out of my head 🥰 is way different from part 1 i appreciate just the fact he decided to do it English is A+ he really didn’t have to i would it love it anyways 😁 but hope you continue reacting to RM nd the rest of the guys of BTS thank you and see u on the next one. 💙💜
Change 2 is definitely nothing like Change with Wale. Change 2 is more experimental but Change 1 is a just an incredible song that should be a classic. No one is mad if you don't check it out but you should when you get a chance. You'll see when you do.
