In my opinion, Tina was always a hard rock singer who was ahead of her time vocally in the 60s. They couldn't categorize what she was doing because the label didn't quite exist yet, so they called it R&B because they were black but her grit, her raw emotion, how she attacked songs, her screams and squalls and the physical electricity she performed with were ALWAYS rock regardless of what genre the charts said. She was as hard rock as AC/DC, Zeppelin, The Who, etc.
Also, as a guitarist, Ike has been credit with helping to define the early rock & roll sound so the were both OGs of rock before people really even knew how to define it.

I’d so love to see you react to her 2000 concert in Wembley, especially Nutbush!! It’s not only a great live vocal but her performance while singing and dancing in a metal arm that reaches across the crowd, is phenomenal!!! Also We Don’t needs Another Hero is fantastic from this concert too!! Her interaction with her dancers and bands are just amazing. Please don’t miss seeing this, this 2000 concert was iconic!
Focus on the solo Tina, cos that’s when she became the absolute star that she is, Rock music was her passion and she did it soooo well!
I think she broke the Guinness record as the first solo female to sell out an outdoor venue in Brazil Back in the late 80s I think? It was in front of a crowd of 180,000 people in one night!! I may have got the numbers wrong, but I believe she cracked this record! What a superhero she was and still is!!!
    Love you Tina!! ❤

Best legs anywhere. This was our football song for about 2 years and Tina loved coming to the Grand Finals. Australia shared her. She had fun running around the beach with our boys. Or standing on top of Sydney Harbour bridge. She was such a special lady. Then she taped What . get Is What You see and made that track for our football and sang it for another eight years. She made Mad Max 3 here. With Mel Gibson.
Found this for you. Tom Jones and John Farnham singing My Yiddishe Momme.
Tina had an Australian manager who just cared about her and he was with until she was gone. She gave her first music award to him because America didn’t want her and he proved she could be amazing. Even over 40 with weird hair, those were America’s words. He took her to London to live while she healed after Ike. She sold more records in Europe, Britain and Australia than she ever sold in America. I am glad she became a Swiss Citizen because she didn’t deserve what was done to her.😅

Now one of my other favourites singers has done the samething special think by sending another CZcamsr a special surprise from John Farnham. What im trying to say is most of you CZcams are so supportive to our Aussie artists. This world would be a sad place if we didnt have John and Jimmy in it

The best version of " What you get is what you see" by Tina is the 1989 Rugby League Promo.

Ike Turner was a genius as a musician and songwriter. He was a terrible husband. Tina eventually outshined him in everything! Tina is the Queen of rock and roll!!!

With all due respect with the Ike and Tina days, she never was better than from 82 to 2000. This video is from 2009 , she was 70.
