போடிநாயக்கனூர்யில் இருந்து 12 கி.மீ. தொலைவில் சொக்கனாதர் கோயில் அமைந்துள்ளது. போடிநாயக்கனூர் 'போடி' என்று சுருக்கமாக அழைக்கபடுகிறது. இதனை அடுத்து 22 கி.மீ. தூரத்தில் உள்ள போடிமெட்டு என்னும் இடத்தில் இருந்து கேரள மாநிலத்தின் எல்லைப் பகுதி தொடங்குகிறது. மலைசூழ்ந்த இயற்கை அழகைக் கண்குளிர கண்டு மகிழலாம். போடிமெட்டில் இருந்து இரவு நேரத்தில் தேனிமாவட்டத்தின் பலபகுதிகள் மின்விளக்கு ஒளியில் மின்னுவது காணக்கிடைக்காத காட்சியாகும். போடியில் இருந்து சுமார் ஒரு மணி நேரத்தில் போடிமெட்டுக்கு செல்லலாம். போடியில் இருந்து கேரளா மாநிலத்தில் உள்ள மூணாறு சுமார் 70 கி.மீ. தூரத்தில் உள்ளது.முந்தல் என்னும் சந்திப்பில் இருந்து போடிமெட்டு மற்றும் குரங்கணி ஆகிய இடங்களுக்கு பாதைகள் பிரிகின்றன. போடியில் பரமசிவன் கோவிலும்,விடா பாறை அருவி என்ற இரு இடங்கள் காணத் தகுந்தது.பரமசிவன் கோவில் போடி பேருந்து நிலையத்தில் இருந்து சுமார் 2 கி.மீ தொலைவில் உள்ளது. ஏப்ரல் மாதத்தில் தொடர்ந்து 7 நாட்கள், அரசு சார்பாக இந்த கோவிலின் திருவிழா கொண்டாடப்படுகிறது
