Shay, you're pretty amazing; however, I think if you're going to have your students show, you should educate yourself in showing as much as you have in other areas. Comments like "I hate chains" and "(color)halter class is 100% based on color" show a lack of understanding. I was rather shocked . You're created a strong follwi6that look to you for guidance. Parts of this vlog were an epic fail.😮

I can't imagine how stressed out you were when you couldn't go home with Jiminy. I absolutely love how you approach horse shows and the positive encouragement you give your students and horses. You really do teach them it is the enjoyment and improving oneself that matters, not the ribbon. You are an amazing lady and the students and horses are so fortunate to have you in their lives! Seeing Mushu so calm is because you have been a calm confident leader for him.

My sister is 17 years older than me and the reason I became a horse girl.
She gave me responsibilities and helped me groom and tack up until she saw what I could do by myself and then she expected me to complete everything very very well. I remember feeling so proud of myself for doing a good job. I couldn't lift the saddle up and it was the only thing I couldn't do by myself and I figured out that if I took my horse into the shed where the saddles were stored (she hung them from the rafters with ropes) that I could maneuver my horse underneath and lower it with the rope onto his back.
It wasn't a chore. It was an achievement, an accomplishment.
Video games and screen time doesn't teach you how much you are capable of. The self-sufficient skills these youngsters are learning from you will set an attitude and confidence that will transfer to other areas of their lives. ❤

Shae you were so amazing at staying focused with the students and horses at the show. I know that Jiminey is your special baby boy; I don't think I could have held it together the way you did!! Kyle thank you so much for also being so adaptable and taking care of Jiminey!! That helped Shae and the students so much!! I'm also so impressed with the way the students worked together, and very hard, before and after the show!! I know it must have been difficult for the student/s that were going to show Jiminey. But you would never know it! And as an added bonus you guys racked up an impressive amount of ribbons!! 😮😅 As Shae says, it's not placing in a class that is most important. It's how well you and the horses do in different places. 😊 And of course I can't end this without saying how awesome Mushu was!! He is such a willing, sweet and curious boy!! He was amazing!! 😅 Way to go FSE TEAM, all humans and horses!! 😃 I'm so happy that I found your channel!! It makes me feel proud too to be even a distant part of your program!! Luv to all!! 😊❤❤

I admire how you coach your students as well as train your horses. Competition can get ugly very quickly but when done in a manner of true sportsmanship and teamwork it can really build character. Tje girls supporting each other is such an important lesson especially in the teen years when a lot of media and culture teach them to tear each other down. Seeing them work together and in good spirits, as you said with good attitudes was just as great to see as the horses and the ribbons. You're an amazing teacher, Shae!

And then Bagheera sprinting with her 30 years - it makes my heart sing to see her so well! It’s a great experience for the young riders. And I wish 30 years ago in Germany there would have been in hand classes. I only did very few shows - and it was ridden trail. It’s great your students can have so many experiences and the horses as well! If I would have a child and would be in your area - I definitely would want you to teach them!

And good job to the teacher. It’s wonderful that you get the students out to,have different experiences with the horses. As you said they’re learning horsemanship not just riding. You must be exhausted! I hope you have a chance to put your feet up and have a glass of something good 😇

Mushu, seems on the small side for a Gypsy Vander or everyone is really tall. I love drafts. I wish I knew about you a few years ago, I would have given you a horse that was absolutely stunning. She needed someone that had a special touch. She was Percheron and Appaloosa she came from a herd of really great bloodlines.

Moosh is da bomb! He performed like a pro! I see the competition is basically the things I've seen you do in training. He learns so quickly and tries to please! He is a very special horse. I'm so impressed with your students too! The horse and rider become one in the ring. Great job to students, horses, AND instructor!!

So happy to watch Mushu enjoy his first horse she with Erin. Really startled by Jiminey not feeling well. I can just imagine how difficult that must have been to see him in distressed, but very glad you had Kyle and the vet making sure it was something that was easily resolved and all is well at FSE Stables. It is a treat to watch your students feel confident, with a few nerves, but overall happy, involved with the horses, everyone looking shiny, tidy, and having fun. Well done, Mama Shae, Mushu, Zazu, Beauty, Bagheera and heart horse, Jiminey at home feeling better!!!! 💗♥️🐎🐎🐎🐎♥️

I used to show 4H at that fair grounds growing up. Joined the military, got married, went to England (like Mushu!) and a lot of other places, and have been away from home for so long. Its so nice to see familiair scenes from home, Michigan, and horses. Thank you for showing how beautiful and green everything is. Thank you for giving me a taste of home and horses
