Configure VLC to work with Zoom Screen Sharing
Tools - Preferences or Ctrl P
Interface - un-check Integrate video in interface
Interface - check Allow only one instance
Audio - check Always reset audio start level to: 100% (change this level as required)
Video - un-check Window decorations
Subtitles/OSD - un-check Show media title on video start
Save
Test. double click an mp4. it should open a second window without borders. You cannot move or resize but that does not matter.
