Short tutorials like this more often would be great!
Great tip. Thanks. I can attest to wrinkly balls 😂
I would ABSOLUTELY LOVE a Technique Tuesday once a week video. Doesn't have to be long. I'm a brand new felter and I'm loving your videos!!!! Thank you!!!!!
These are going to be great to make for gifts. Thanks Kyla. Well done!
Thanks Kyla, great tutorial!
This was a fun, cute tutorial! I would definitely love to see these alongside the longer ones! ❤️
I loved your teaching, had been looking for a long time for some hints on how to but found no free tutorials. Thanks for sharing. Now I will be able to start experimenting! 😂❤😊😅
Thanks for sharing! I have plenty of dryer balls, but I want to make a bunch of felted eggs.
Same. 💕
Thanks, Kyla, another great tutorial!
Great tutorial Kyla! Thank you!
Yay Kyla! Awesome video! ❤
This is really useful, thanks for sharing. 💕
Thanks Kyla!
Thank you Kyla
Love my dryer balls, they last forever.
I make smaller balls for my cat as well.
So each ball is 1oz? Is there a specific needle size we should use? I know nothing much about all this, wondering if DIY is cheaper than buying them. Thanks!
Each ball is about an ounce, yes. I used 38 gauge needles in a pen tool. If you have the tools and just get the 4 oz bundle of Off White Chunky Core you will get 4 for $9. It is definitely fun to customize them and I love to give hand made gifts :)
@@SarafinaFiberArtHowTo OK thanks for the reply. I balled up some old wool socks I wasn’t wearing anymore and wound them kind of tightly with wool/alpaca yarn, then put in the pantyhose. Will wash tomorrow and see how they go.
What do you use as a mat?
I used the Stabbit Wabbit (MEGA size) felting surface to make these.
I dont have a felt needle. Would you have another substitute i could use instead?
Hi! You are going to need felting needles to at least get this to stick, I don't know that you could just ball it up and try to wet felt it. The balls would be super squishy and uneven I would think.
Do you use these balls for something special? Greetings from Germany✨💫😘 Melanie
You keep these in your dryer to help absorb moisture, separate laundry as it tosses about in the dryer, and you can even add essential oils for scent.
When do you remove them from the nylons-before or after drying?
I throw them into the dryer in the nylons the first time. After that first dryer cycle they are ready to take out and use!
@@SarafinaFiberArtHowTo got it. Thank you!
