Rare video of men discovering fire.
This comment is super classic.
Well done.
This should be pinned lol
YYYYYYAAAAASSSSS
Stopped me in my tracks laughing!
LOVE
They can play! And their drummer saved me 15 percent on car insurance in just 15 minutes!
"up to 15% or more" (one of the clutziest statistical expressions ever invented)
@@davidfloren5339 “COULD save you up to 15% or more”
That’s technically true.
@@marcsullivan7987 But the whole "up to" phrase kind of says that's the ultimate limit beyond which not even God can go, and yet they go past that limit anyway. LOL
He looks like a guy who sells insurance , is that what you meant ?
@@davidfloren5339Gracias por explicar el dicho. Soy Chileno y " estaba colgado de la ampolleta"🤣
Bassist is super underrated. Such effortlessly groovy basslines, and I love his tone. Nearly the perfect bass ton
Almost as if he was some sort of bassist Einstein
This two dudes are killing it with Delvon Lamar Trio and now with the True Loves . Their music is authentic , honest and with a hell of a swing . What else can you ask for ?
Absolutely! Saw DLT a few weeks ago. Next level‼️‼️‼️
So, was this before or after the trio, for him and the drummer
Some ORGAN!
God, David McGraw is such a solid drummer. Dude's got a deeper pocket than Elon Musk.
I've been told that you can't hold no groove if you ain't got no pocket.
Its Bob from accounting on drums !...again. You're awesome dude. Don't ever change.
BIG CITY he sold me homeowners insurance last week!
David McGraw. Wonderful chap. Met him and Jimmy (my dear soul brother) when the Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio came by Des Moines.
@@patrickincharlestonsc4935 Better than Geico!
He knows a thing or two, cuz he’s seen a thing or two.
You should see these guys playing a jazzfest in Virginia in the pouring rain. Freakin awesome.
Oooo yeah! This is the real music!
the dudes from Delvon lamarr organ trio doin it again
awesome
so good!
changing band name again :F
MLe MLe
Nah, they're 2 different bands. Guitarist and drummer just so happen to be in both groups, but Delvon Lamarr isn't in this one.
@@yourrealdad9442 he plays on a few The True Loves' songs on the album, hard to miss the organ coming in, and he's credited on the back of the album too
I love how he says, about people not dancing sometimes, "Maybe they're just listening, and that's just as groovy." Indeed.
I am one of the listeners!!! And grooving!!!
It's not dancing music
Hard to dance when you’re stupefied by how amazing the playing is!
Dancing is so boring tho. Listening is the best
@@musicaldogs6866 what if one feels so moved by listening that they feel compelled to express ones joy through dance?
Jimmy James is just so cool. Just radiates coolness. This whole band is something out of another time and just jams their own style and it’s awesome. Love these guys.
I find it sad that nobody mentioned how good the bass is. Goddamn, its groovy
Funnily enough I just made that comment heh. Dude is effortlessly groovy and badass
You did, so there you go.
It's because most people are listening with speakers that have little bass - computer, phone, etc. It's a shame, because he's great.
These guys are seriously baddass. It's like being teleported back to 1971. Please come to London and play the Jazz Cafe or something - I'll be there
can't get enough of the cool dad energy emanating from the drummer
That guitar player always be lookin like everyone in every room owes him money
They probably do XD
When you play as funky as him, that mean mug just gets stuck on your face! You know like when your momma told you not to make those faces or it might stick like that... his finally did. 🤨
:)
Smartass ipse dixit
Spot on! :D:D:D
Congratulations on another one of the countless successful formations.
I really can't count how many times I've wanted to like a KEXP video twice
Honestly, this is the first time I've tried it. Shit don't work. Fuck.
As always, massive props to the sound engineers. They run this show!
Joel that’s what happens when u are worth hearing huh? Good sound guys are heroes
They can make or break you. If they don't like you or they support one band over another your sound might be a little bit off or a lot off.If they like you this is the result
Joel ...read my mind...
tru dat!
This Universe has a sound track, and they are apart of that.
"Maybe they just want to listen (...) which is just as groovy as anything" Gotta love that.
One year later - still listening.
groove never dies.
Their drummer maintains this satisfied look on his face in every performance haha.
It's July 2023 and while I knew of Jimmy James years ago I'm just discovering these guys (and the Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio). Fantastic stuff
Oh man, that rhythm section is so fucking good. If they made a movie with nothing but a True Loves soundtrack, I would watch that shit all day long.
0:10 Getaway
0:34 Mary Pop Poppins
4:50 The Dirty
9:30 Band interview

@@BunnyChannel918 Added - Thanks!!
titles are on the video man haha
@@beano2009 um, Getaway wasn't... Thanks for playin'
Their music should be in movies and on TV.
LET'S NOT FORGET RADIO, IT KEEPS GOOD MUSIC ALIVE.
Greetings from Serbia!
"sometimes people just want to listen instead of move which is just as groovy as anything" came for the music; stayed for the vibes
That background groove for the sax @ 8:00 is feels :)
Straight outta the Pacific North Fresh! Get it, Got it, Good!! These gentlemen are fly & funkafied!!!
Saved into my playlist " Best Music on CZcams"
Nothing sampled here. Real music, real heart.
True loves bassist is about to create the theory of relativity while playing a sick bassline
Killer Bassist and Conga player. Acid Jazz is back
Yeah! Camden Town days.
Soul Funk
I wanna see more musicians like this wearing suits like old times. Classy af!
I have lost track of how many times I've watched this,,, theses guys are absolutely fantastic!!!
Tight as Hell !!!
Dave McGraw on Drums and Jimmy James on Guitar.
When the aliens come to destroy us for being a cancer in the galaxy, THIS video alone will be proof that we deserve to exist.
Excellent work, gentlemen!!!!
😃😃😃
What a great song to find on Earth Day 2021
Unless of course we are alone, or the aliens just wait for the right time to destroy us regardless of excellence or mediocrity. 🤣
This is some good music 🎶 for a morning digest 🥳. I love it 🥰
I do believe I have found my new favorite guitar player.
Dito that!
Just found my new favorite band! "The Dirty" close my eyes and I can see Dirty Harry walking down a sidewalk in San Francisco in 1974.....
Total awesomeness! I’m basically one big goosebump...
Greatings, this Band is just GREAT!!
Thanks KEXP for your existence!! Always keeping that good taste in music!!!
Man, the sound engineers at KEXP are so on point. These mixes sound freaking incredible on every band they have in the studio. I think the only thing comparable is the Tiny Desk series. I love this!
True!!! I've been introduced to many bands from KEXP. The Do, Aroara..... The list is endless
Respect. Sharon Jones and Charles Bradley were legit my heroes. I bump their music all the time. It just, touches my soul so much.
Still listening in 23
Great music never died, it just went off the radar!
Hello Guys, i from Brazil and im greatfully to hear this beatifull songs, THANKSSSSSSSS
So much love and so much respect. 30min of absolute ear candy!
This is so SICK!!!!! YES!
Uploaded on my birthday? Thanks @KEXP, such jams, much joy.
One of those performances where you almost hit the like button twice
thanks for sharing this excellent music. my 3 year old said " i like your music"
It's nice to see Mr. Caputo playing bass again.
I'm a kid watching 70's TV again....Love it.
Just went and bought this album on bandcamp. What a great bunch of songs, soulful and locked into the groove they clearly do live. If you love these guys, say so with your support. Bands need support from those who appreciate them just like every other artist on this planet.
My legs are moving by themself I lost control, cannot stop moving.
Soooooo cool!
Thanks again KEXP.
i always appreciate a well used saxophone
That guy on guitar, who also features in Devon Lamar Trio, is always cooking up something good
This is the chillest jam band ever. Everyone is a masterful musician. These are the coolest cats in the lounge. Also how about that studio?! Damn fine job KEXP. You guys are my favorite CZcams channel.
Ninja Sushi some bois are cold nasty and there’s not a damn thing we can do about it
Ice cold.
Glad to see young Albert Einstein playing electric bass guitar.
Lol
The coolest thing I've seen in years!!
Glad this came up as suggested.
That trombone part at 6:35 is FILTHY. Love it!
So that's where Giovanni Ribisi has been, playing bass for the True Loves...drummer constantly has the face of someone that just sent a funny ass text and watching the person across the room waiting for them to open it up and read it...
Nice man, totally true
That same drummer pulls the exact same face in his performance in the Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio. Except, with fewer people to look around at, he uses an awkward amount of eye contact that just makes him look like a serial killer stalking a woman.
lol. too funny. On the topic of eyes, my wife says they all look at each other like they are in love. Truly.
Top shelf musicians here. Holy shit!
Every song is bang on perfect everytime. Such a pleasure to listen to 😁
Incredible group, the best of 70`s sounds in USA. Greetings from Mexico City! Saludos!
Bass player looking like he just discovered that E=MC²
hahaha, albert the bassist
Albert BasStein
I was thinking more along the lines of the sticky bandits.
Right at 4:10...
He looks like Tim Burton when he's forced to clean up a bit.
The bass player looks like my dad in 1987 and I can't stop seeing it.
First time for me... I don't know for you guys but let's be honest, the guitarist is the rhythm here! He is simply phenomenal
Wow. I've never heard of this group until now, but I like it. Thanks CZcams recommendations!
I would love to see this band in Detroit!!
smooth like cream coffee
Oh, now I like this a lot.
This band is incredible!
i had this on as background music, but i changed over to watching it, and now im just fucking in the zone watching this fucking good music being played. respect to the max
I am exactly as you except I use capitals LOL
Played this over supper and had to sit and watch too lol.
Same thing happened to me during Famous Last Words
Hey, brother. If you like these guys, I'm certain you'll like Polyrhythmics too.
better than work!
This is pure pleasure
im so in love with this video
This is so good it hurts.
I am such a fan, its as if the type of music that I had in mind two weeks ago just materialized. The True Loves are my favorite Summer 2018 band. Thanks!
Nigel Etter You know Lettuce?
Man that bass!!! Ooooh!!! Aaaah!!!
Coolest drummer ever lived.
that guitar tone is fucking slick.
keixoun typical Bill Withers tone! :D
Thats a gentleman tone
That second track is just so fine. Such a tightly knit performance! In. The. Pocket.
This band is amazing! Sounds soooo goood!
So very SOLID just outstanding
Love that groove in the Dirty
Jimmy James!
Such a distinct guitar tone - legend.
Sounds like the Meters guitar sound. If you do not know them, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you do!
Thanks mate - I'll do just that 😀
And such a tight rhythm player! Unfortunately playing good rhythm guitar is often underrated...
Found this video randomly. They are so good
Just can't stop hearing anymore
not usually my kinda music but I had to watch and listen: the quality demanded it
also credit to the sound engineers on this .. all instruments come through crystal on this (bro 'fist to KEXP)
Really enjoyed this and thanks for the quality recording and production quality. My hi-fi system appreciates it.
It's like old Chicago...Awesomeness!
Dad said this is what you call real musicians son!
Amen to that, brother.
leonardoboy2 don’t make big daddy lay it down too crucial this is what happens boys and girls!
Respect to the bass player. Really clean playing too, especially for a six string.
John Stringer 5 string.
Well it's Einstein. What did you expect?
This right here is pure FIRE!
I really like this Set.. you know
