You don't have to travel to keep the ship. Simply go to. The ship tab in your menu and make this you home ship. Can be done in any ship you are in or sitting in the pilot seat. Then just register in the same menu. Then get up go back to your ship and do the same for the home ship. Then look in the ship menu and the ship will be there. You don't have to take it anywhere. Enjoy. It's works great for planets where you find more than one ship landing so you can claim both ships.
Everytime I make another ship my home ship, my original ship flys away. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.
@@DarqStalker you have to quickly target and dock back with it. Totally doable before it Flys away
@@DarqStalkerDon't make the ship your "home ship" while sitting in the pilot seat.
That will cause you to undock and your ship to fly away.
Get out of the seat but stay in the ship, open your ship menu and make it your home ship. Then go back to your original ship, sit in the pilot's seat and then make that your home ship. The other ship will then undock and fly away, but you will now own it
"Back to the Grind" can also be activated by passing the ad locations in New Atlantis if it is playing a Ryujin Ad.
This is good but a lot of inaccuracies here. It literally doesn't matter what you select in the Ryujin job application, why that is the case is part of the quest later on. Also as long as you're picking up the sidequest to go find Malai, and short of selecting any of the offered attack dialog options, you should be able to go aboard the Datura. Keeping the gun is also straightforward, no matter how many ways I gave up the gun, Simon just asked me to keep it in the end.
Saw another video that described how to get this pistol. Was mentally hunkering down to jump through a lot of hoops when I saw your video. LOVE THIS!! Subscribed!
You can do that with any ship as well.....even ones that have landed on the surface....get inside, sit in the seat, THEN EXIT THE SHIP FROM THE SEAT(NOT BY GETTING UP AND "WALKING" OUT), fast travel to a point ON THE SURFACE AND THEN FAST TRAVEL BACK TO THE SHIP and it will be added to your ship inventory screen.
Ive done it with two Va'Ruun ships, a UC ship called "The Sloop", a Crimson Fleet Ghost, and another UC ship i cant remember the name of...ALMOST had a Freestar battle ship but my pilot skill wasn't high enough to let me sit in the seat!!! 😂😂😂😂

The ember Is a great weapon to give to Sarah as she pretty much 1 taps with it, early in the game at least. Will see if she still does it past lvl 100.

Nice video....FYI This quest is not just randomly picked up, it is also obtained during the Ryujin quest lines, you must make a deal with Simon and to decrease his credit cost he offers hunting her down as a optional side quest.
Yes the neon city company brought me to it about 6 missions in. I'm a major side quest guy, I don't think everyone is going to take the time to do all those weird quests lol
It didn't just "pop up", when you pass NPCs sometimes they're telling you something , and even if you run off, when their dialogue is done you get a quest , in this case , you passed a terminal that said apply for a job at that company and then the quest opened up.

I casually got Ember at lv 10 without knowing. Almost lv 30 now and it's still my main weapon. I know now why she was so in love with that gun. She would've made for a great companion and lover, hated having to kill her.
I didnt kill her, just stole her ship, got the gun. Great success!!! : )

You don't have to kill her. You can convince her to give it up as "proof" of her death.

I didn't kill her actually kind of respected her so I convinced her to give me Ember and let her leave. She would have been a awesome addition to my pirate crew. As for ships I have the Crimson Fleet Wright II, this ship is amazing melts almost any ship that comes up against me.
I likewise spared her. The guy deserved it and she hadn't done anything _that_ bad.

You can do that job application in New Atlantis actually, but you still have to go to Neon for the interview. Which I STILL haven't done, but hopefully it'll be funny because I intentionally chose all the worst possible application answers.
The Datura is a bit buggy. I had it an experienced the same thing others have mentioned, which is the ship has a tendency to take off and fly away on it's own. (fast travelling to another planet made the ship reappear, but then it would fly away again.) It also has security turrets inside which, for me, made it impossible to modify because the turrets don't line up with any other habs and I had them either floating in mid air or clipping through decks. I could not delete them. Other players have reported the turrets and companion aggroing on each other.
Yeah, it’s game breaking for some people. Feel like he should edit the video with a disclaimer…
One of the mostly cooler i this game is a mission that in the first sight is "no big deal" at the end become be a very nice surprise!!! I took it!!

In the video you stated "to keep the weapon (i.e Ember) to simply not mention it to Simon (Mission Giver) and then go on to say you selected the 2nd dialogue option which mentions Ember (The Weapon) did you mean you selected the 3rd option?
He says about not giving gun but, says pick 2nd option which says "embers all yours" which is the name of the gun - so is that not handing it over? I thought wanted keep the gun?

I did this mission and didn’t do his and the datura has grab jumped in twice on me so it can still be seen without it
FYI I took this ship and kept it, later leveled up and started ship building. I deleted this ship and started fresh, after building I noticed that turrets that were originally in the datura were still present in the new ship. I believe this glitched my ship and while using another ship it disappeared from my inventory. 400k ship lost.
Got the weapon not the ship. Didn’t know it was that rare. The gun is awesome.

I ended up getting both the ship and gun just cause i was being a cheapskate, realized the ship is total crap and i never used the gun lol pretty sure i put it in a chest on one of my ships and forgot about it, im on ng+ maybe ill try it this time
thanks for video, the gun is pretty good but its a bit of a stretch to call the ship "amazing" maybe Im missing something but the ship you get from the mantis and ranger quests outclass this ship and they are real easy to get with a better quest line.

I took it but it’s not allowing me to switch home ships now. Are you having that problem? Is it maybe because my mass on my old ship was more and when I took the datura the mass was less, making it technically over weight?
What do you mean you "didn't mention the weapon"? The second option that you selected is "Ember's all yours. I'm surprised you couldn't handle Malai yourself" which implies you will give the Ember to him to keep. Afterwards the next dialogue list has "What are you going to do with Ember?" which clearly affirms that the weapon is now in his possession. Unless there is a bug that although you select that, it doesn't remove it from your inventory, I don't see how you get to keep it with that specific chat option. Please explain.

I got a gold AK out of her Captain's hold and a couple of other miscellaneous things. Also got like 1700 credits between her and the captains hold. I'm sure loot varies though.

Has anyone else experienced a situation where literally every ship you find that lands on a planet has a closed landing bay? i dont know when it happened but now every time i try to find a ship after it lands has a closed landing bay. If this is a glitch then it ruins my current playthrough.

I took the ship upgraded it but any time I get out of the ship it flys away

that ship on xbox is bugged and will take off and leave you stranded, and if you dont get off the ship with the auto exit it will take you back in to space. over and over......
I just undocked and fart traveled back to Cydonia and it automatically labeled the Datura as my home ship and my star eagle went back to base? I think it said…

Datura is hilarious. So, I let that lady live, then took her ship home with me. With her in it. It is now in my inventory. Then, in my other ship, while out exploring, The Datura appears once again, this time attacking me. I check, and it’s still in my inventory as well. I board it, again…I could have had two of these things.

Yep I definitely missed that option. I was 100 hrs in already before doing the Ryujin faction and by that time I was so sick and tired of all the "fetch quests" in the game. Starfield is 95% fetch quests and the Ryujin faction is completely ALL fetch quests I skipped every single dialogues by just spamming the first option every single time.
OK assuming you got the Datura with the Frontier, where is the Frontier now. Who is flying the Frontier? When I registered Datura I can see both ships but where is the Frontier?

I play on PC and haven't had any issues. Having said that - it's crazy that you need to put "Not being a hater" in your comment just so spurgs don't ambush you with verbal assault for daring to say the game has a flaw.

Dude this quest line is a faction questline you and anyone will always get this quest if you go to the planet and everyone will go there as you are sent there by several quests.
You will always get the job no matter what you put in your application.
The weapon is terrible and the only reason to get it is to sell it and the ship is not that great either and not worth much. Sure some might have missed the quest because they could not be arsed to do a favor but they are not worth getting.
