There is nothing more humbling and inspiring than watching a Master like Steve jamming with other musicians
Vai such a down to 🌎 guy doesn't hog the show and gives this kid great confidence on the stage as he really shines, great video
Love seeing older guys who are masters at guitar playing with young kids who will be the next masters🤟🏻
This is by far the most actually-musical of any of the Vai Academy jams I've seen. Well done. So many people get up there and just spit arpeggios at him. A lot of fast hands, but not a lot of people who listen like musicians this well.

Luke Maynard couldn't agree more. i wanted to see something like this for a long, long time. we all know Steve has got speed and all the technical tricks you can think of, so it was awesome to see someone resist the urge to outright challenge Steve and just jam with him. great guitar playing!
I'd spit lame bar chords in the wrong key and off time at him. 😜
Well done Francisco! Amazing! You both complemented each other! You weren't trying to show Steve how fast you can play but more importantly your guitars were talking to each other! And your control was absolutely brilliant!!!
There's no point mentioning how humble and down to earth Mr. Vai is, in general. But I'm really impressed here how he consciously gave space to the young guitarist to express himself and also complement each other, rather than dominating. Jamming like this are a treat to eyes and ears 🙂

You've gotta have balls of steel to get up and shred with Vai, but I love the fact that Steve always shows everyone respect and allows them to do their thing, always encouraging and supporting their 15 minutes of fame.
Now this is the difference between just being able to play fast and being able to play fast, slow, whatever the song calls for- and remain melodic while doing so. Beautiful playing- by both players- but of course I expected as much from Vai- very refreshing to hear a student being able to do it as well. That was a gorgeous melody, extremely dynamic playing, but most of all- it served the song. It wasn't someone just being like "look what I can do." I'll be keeping my eye/ and ears on this young man's progress, expecting big things.

Pues para mi eres de gran inspiración, tus covers de Vai y tus propias composiciones son execelentes y de muy buen gusto para mi oido! Te deseo que puedas seguir por este camino y ojalà pueda yo algún día poder llegar a tu nivel de tecnica guitarristica (llevo 7, 5 años practicando con la guitarra, primero classica y despues electrica) y tus videos me inspiran a seguir practicando cada dia!
