These metaphors helped so much, - 11:22 Views are almost like reports - 14:40 Vertical + Horizontal hierarchy + finding a view is like finding a book only to put it back on the shelf - 15:56 Favorites are like checking out the book Thanks Layla!
Thank you Layla! Less public views (and less required views) for the Workspace is better all around for everyone..and each person can create their own Private views so it doesn’t clutter the Location with tons of drop downs of views!! Depending on your company size, it’s worth updating the Security & Permissions for members to not create views (they can still create personal views)!
Thank you so much Layla! Would love to get a PART 2 to this video, in which you go into detail into what other lists you check such as SOP, etc. Very useful and insightful. Cheers!
Excellent video. I love the clear, concise, and straight to the point approach while adding just enough personalization. I don't often like/subscribe to anyone but I believe I will make an exception for this one. Great job!
I feel like I definitely have made all of these mistakes! Your video is so helpful, I feel like I need to give ClickUp another try now! Thanks for the inspo!
Wonderful video! Do you know if there is a way to prevent all users to see the currently active filter in a view? What happens in my team now is that when someone uses the search box, everyone who is in the view at the moment sees the result of that search. It is like, the filter applies to everyone looking at the view in real time. I believe there is a way to fix that by changing the settings but I don't know how.
I’ve learned that when filtering by multiple tags “is not any of these” and temporarily toggling the logic to show “IS any of these tags”, when switching back the logic flips to “is not ALL”. Perhaps a bug, good to look out for.
What I am interested in is hiring someone to help me set it up, step by step, like a ClickUp tutor. Online videos, courses, forums, etc. aren't going to work, no matter how great! It's not about the quality it's about how I learn. Pls let me know where I might find this resource.

Pro Tip: For anyone else like me who preferred how fast Layla talked through older content, I just discovered you can set the speed of the video to 1.25 and it's almost exactly the same speed 👍 I think we have the same flavor of ADHD, but I know that talking speed isn't for everybody 😅
🙌 That makes 2 of us! I started using ClickUp a month ago for work. Started one for personal life, but wanted some tips. One thing led to another and just realized I've been binging your content and taking meticulously organized notes to distract from my hangover for almost 6 hours now!

I'm glad you found it helpful!
This is foundational stuff and I had missed a detail or two, like Me Mode vs filtering by assignee. Thanks so much Layla!
Happy to help! 😁
How had I missed Me Mode? Your tip about setting it as a default view will save people so much time. Thanks again.
I'm so glad it helped!
