  • The confluence of Roaring Brook and the Lackawanna River in South Scranton on Friday, Feb. 16, 2024, showing Roaring Brook still discolored brown from silty sediment released upstream about two weeks ago from Pennsylvania American Water's No. 7 Reservoir dam rehabilitation project in Dunmore, and the stark contrast of the muddied Roaring Brook where it dumps into the clear waters of the Lackawanna River.

In my youth I never expected the Lackawanna to be as clear as it has become with hard work. Seeing that undone in a day by incompetence demands full disclosure and compensation.
