Byakuya acknowledging Rukia meant the world to her. I wished that she was present in the final battle Ichigo, Aizen and Renji vs Yhwach
Renji wasn't present, at least he didn't fight Yhwach directly, that was Aizen's illusion for the most part.
One thing I could add to this video is that fear is a very special and specific concept to Bleach's themes, it contrasts with the unknown that death brings since the very first volume of the series. This is why Äs Nödt being the "Fear of God" is thematically a very important thing for the story, and which is why it's important that Rukia defeated this opponent that symbolized fear, as Rukia is the the Death in this story.

I love that her bankai is basicaly the absolute zero - and its symmetrical - She HAS TO ENDURE whats HER opponent is feeling and against the PERSONALISATION OF FEAR OF GOD(Yhwach) - SHE STOOD STIL, ONE BREATH WAS ALL IT TOOK. 4:46
Videos like this help me appreciate the depth of Kubo's writing. I always considered Bleach to be the most "artsy" of the Big 3. Not just because of its amazing art, but because there is much more to the story, characters, and writing than what we see on the surface. Lots of symbolism and subtext that go over a lot of people's heads.
Which is done intentionally, since Kubo goes out of his way to not use a narrator in the manga.
Everything is left to interpretation, and unlike other stories where bold claims are confirmed by the narrator, in Bleach, characters lie and get away with it, sometimes even fooling the reader initially.
Not just lies, but everything. There's no true right and/or wrong sides, there's just Ichigo's side and then whichever side he decides to fight alongside.
It's fascinating, honestly.
Rukia is such a great female character and now that her gorgeous beautiful bankai was revealed to everyone now knows she is *_HER_*
Lucia (Rukia) is latin for Light. So yeah, she still fits the Kuchiki motif. Also the theme of sacrifice is also implied through the Japanese folklore, Tsuki no Usagi. Which makes Rukia's love of bunnies make so much sense.

I really like this video because me coming from the perspective of seeing the hell arc as truly questioning If everything we know about identity and the truth of the world itself is correct or not it fits so well. Rukia becoming that model Shinigami just for her entire identity and the philosophy of the "heart" Kaien believed in to be totally flipped on its head with the information we saw. Truly great.

I didn't really think about it before, but it makes so much sens that when a shinigami gains their bankai (gets enlightened) they are not longer bound in their shikai comand for releasing. As in that moment they are truly free of said boundary and can act accordingly.
The hogyoku didn't affect rukia giving more power to ichigo than she intended to. It did keep her powers suppressed AFTER that event. Specifically due to her not having the hogyoku until after that event.
Loved the video. I've always thought bleach had the potential to continue past TYBW and just roll on in to chapters 800 and 900 but stuff like this makes me wonder what the main characters stories would be. If Rukia has moved past her fears and reached her peak what would she be doing in a post tybw story? Would the context around the world change and challenge her new worldview or would she start acting out her ideals now that she's gained her Identity? It's fun to think about.

During my early days reading bleach manga and watching its anime, i thought Rukia will be Ichigo's partner . Cause it was a typical storytelling , a hero and a heroin . And based their strong symbolism, black sun and white moon. But thankfully, Bleach ran away from this typical trope and straight up its own path by Kubo, making them both have a great platonic relationship
