Nice summary. I don't entirely understand the practical utility of chronographs. But Patek's rendition of Breguet numerals on black enamel is second to none.

I enjoy hearing Brian speak of his first hand knowledge how Patek has changed with the styles of the time . Excellent content . Great team as always .

Loving those Rolex and Patek deep dives. Two of my favorite brands. Thanks!
Would love to see something like it for JLC.

Great watch talk, Tim and Brian!
Chronos are one of my favorite complications in watchmaking.
Not only because they are actually complex to manufacture, even though many people thing they are not, but most importantly because they are a useful complication😉
Nice to see Patek chrono line presented in such a well-structured way.
Please keep those type of vides coming.
    Best,
    Amintas

A good analysis of where Patek is going, less dressy but still dressy. A good strategy

This may sound silly, but it is clear that Patek evolved its design. however, I sort of feel that they took inspiration from modern Longines. Where else did they get the original idea to evolve in this direction while "mistakenly" looking like a Longines, Tissot reissue. I think they got inspiration from modern main stream brands cashing in on their heritage.

Wonderful content. Quick suggestion. Follow up with the “Theirry Stern collection.” Look at the watch designs that Theirry has transformed Patek with over the years. His signature fingerprints on the brand have been significant. Patek went from a niche watch brand to a juggernaught under his direction. Or what would a world class Patek collection look like for a collector? Would it have a world time, Perpetual calendar, Annual Calendar, travel timer, chronograph, art piece, minute repeater. or simple dress watch All wonderful content.

I’m not convinced the “modern collector” is inclined toward the syringe hands on the 5172. The pushers. That watch is so much clumsier than the 5170.

Virtually unobtanium watches due to limited production. Very complicated engineering and timely to produce. Very delicate movements not for everyday use.
