मैं धारचूला पहले कई बार जा चुका हूं मैं धारचूला अपनी बस लेकर जाता था, धारचूला बहुत ही खूबसूरत शहर है जो चारों तरफ़ से पहाड़ों से घिरा है यहां पर एक दिन में तीनों मौसम देखने को मिलते हैं सुबह ठंड दोपहर में खूब गर्मी और शाम को बारिश होती है इस काली नदी का पानी बहुत ही ठंडा है iske पुल के बीच ५मिनट खड़े होने पर ही ठंड लगने लगती है,, धारचूला एक बहुत खूबसूरत शहर है!!!

Visited Dharchula n Darchula too in 2017-2018 07-08 times during my stay as LDM Pithoragarh. I also Visited Jauljibi and attended cultural events in Jauljibi international mela in November 2017.
I went to Dharchula for Narayan Ashram .10 days when we returned in taxi we crossed river for Napal only for 1 hour because that was evening and bridged was closed we went there starting June last week of June landslides and film star Pratima Bedi was there Kali Ganga so beautiful and Naad is so loud

Nepal's army attacked in kumaun and defeated kumaun's King and in 1804 conquered garhwal also ......but with the help of British ,garhwal's king sudarsanshah fought with amarsingh thapa in 1813 and released his territory....and in 1815 British conquered kumaun and some parts of nepal also ...... Your homework is a bit questionable: River Mahakali had become the int'l borderline after the 1816 Sugauli treaties of Nepal-British India war. Prior to that time Nepal's last frontier in the west was up to Kumaon. Nearly the whole of Uttarakhand was Nepal!

1979...yes this is the year I travelled to Dharchulla ...but I couldn't visit Nepal side as it was raining heavily..I went there to teach in a school..The climate was Bitter cold and I could see snow covered mountain peak too close..
