    Thanks man! My problem wasnt that the o ring on the wiper motor was broken but actually the nozzle on the wiper was clogged up with debris and causing a leak on the o ring because too much pressure maybe? Either way your tutorial helped me a lot with identifying the problem!!

    Mine also did not work when i got the car, but because the washer water runt through it it just had rusted stuck, so a nice cleanup dit it for mijn, the most annoying was the dirt in the fluid resevoir that cloged the washer motor.

      Most probably the orientation of the magnet on the cog is wrong, try rotating it 180 deg.

    • @BimmerZen
      @BimmerZen  Před 4 lety

      Most probably yes. Usually the o-ring is bad and fluid is leaking past the shaft seal in to the mechanism.

      Thanks. When I remove the black plastic cover, will I find the metal female with treads....or will I have to make them. also, do you remember what size connector you made?
      Thanks again!

    • @BimmerZen
      @BimmerZen  Před 6 lety

      You will have to make the threads yourself. Alternative solution would be to get a female fitting that fits on the shaft and then glue it on with strong epoxy. Sorry, I can't remember the exact dimensions. Make sure you measure everything before any work.

    How do you safely remove the original nozzle if you intend to refit it for the time being please?

    • @BimmerZen
      @BimmerZen  Před 3 lety

      If I remember correctly you can't. It's pressed and molded on to the backplate. You have to grind away the plastic expanding rivets or heat up the metal backplate so it softens the plastic rivets and then pull it out.

    • @jonlee4106
      @jonlee4106 Před 3 lety

      @@BimmerZen I managed to get the nozzle out intact. Trouble was the motor itself disintegrated when I tried to disassemble the mechanism to clean it. I've now fitted a brand new motor and am having a few difficulties. I'm worried after an initial squirt (rather black), it's not pumping any fluid anymore. Also when I put the wiper down on the glass, it's no longer wiping the (dry) screen. Only when I lift the arm does it start moving. Is it sensitive to how much torque you apply to the bolt? It was too dark to finnish sorting this evening so will take another look during daylight. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks.

    • @BimmerZen
      @BimmerZen  Před 3 lety

      @@jonlee4106 You replaced the whole mechanism? In this case everything should work. If I remember correctly, the control module for the rear wiper senses wiper position and activate the squirts accordingly. If the wiper does not move, it won't activate the squirting any further.
      Did you get a used unit? Maybe the plastic wheel is already damaged and can't take the torque required to move the wiper over the glass?

    Hei buddy. I got the plastic new wheel, followed every step, but it's still not working.
    Before, when I put ignition on, it was like this buzz, like it was charging for 5 sec. Now not even the buzz.
    And it's not even washing, no liquid, no rotation on the motor... can you help?

    • @BimmerZen
      @BimmerZen  Před 4 lety

      Check or change orientation of the magnet. I had the same issue. Magnet must be oriented the same way as before.

    • @BimmerZen
      @BimmerZen  Před 4 lety

      @@sssalexsss07 I think that on start up rear wiper controller runs initialization procedure (to reset wiper position to rest position). If it does not detect correct position (does not sense the magnet), It will disable the wiper operation (and disable washer function). My magnet was a small rectangular shape.
