The Game Chasers are 2 friends hunting for retro video game in flea markets, garage sales, game stores and people's homes! And they are a bunch chodes - Hry
When the world needed them most, they returned.
I’m so happy
I want arcade venues to come back. I want to be able to go in their have a cuppucimo and a smoke and then play video games. Those were the days. I miss those days.
Stefanos Prokopis smoke?? Is 2020
RileyC exactly. It’s 2020.
@@hellocollegejason198 bro they literally posted 3 months ago. there’s been four game chasing vids since this one.
I got on an arcade auction mailer list back in the late 90’s/early 2000’s.
Begged my dad to take me to one.
He finally did.
We browsed around, and I quickly realized everything would be pretty expensive.
But, the auction starts. EnduroRacer (Sega) is the first game up for auction. Bidding starts...and nobody bids. Crickets.
Finally. The auctioneer says to the crowd to make an offer.
My dad says “$10.” and...sold. To us, for $10.
I was stoked. He grabbed the truck, we picked it up and headed home.
On the way home, we stopped at a Burger King for dinner, and I find a $10 bill on the floor.
Needless to say, it was a great day.
I still have the game. It’s sitting in my parents garage.
Sounds like y'all were meant to have that cabinet! That's awesome!
Honestly, this show has been one of my favorite shows on CZcams for many years, please never stop making episodes. I also want to wish you luck on the business and if I ever go through Texas I would love to stop by to grab a beer and play some Trog.
The Game Chasers New Episodes always makes my day better
Ahhhh :)
I agree definitely 😊 breaks up my work day and brings laughter and relief.
It really does.
Thanks for a long awaited video! Stay safe guys!!!!!
That double quarter pounder story feels like you took it straight from my brain. I get that *sometimes* when that CZcams money rolls in. But usually it's exactly like Jay says... two McDoubles.
You should be hitting SoDoSoPa with that GameSack YT money. Don't be messing around with McDs.
@@goodwi11 I don't even know what that means.
@@GameSack It was a South Park reference. Since you live in CO, I just went for it.
I make pretty good money and I still get 2 McChickens. I'm just a cheap bastard.
One McChicken (no lettuce), one McDouble (no pickle) and I usually splurge and get a sausage, egg, cheese, McMuffin.
Feels like a Saturday morning when that intro plays on a new episode!
Finally... a beacon of hope in 2020.
Just showed this to my friend, who's never seen your series before, and we're watching it over Discord and we're both loving and laughing our asses off. Its great guys, thanks.
Much appreciated
I remember back in the day Jay would lose sleep over 85 cents, he's a high roller now :)
He still works to the same percentages.
it is not his money.
I'll just bet he still does
I hope someone told him his unemployment checks are ending.
"ummm actually thats not original!" is my new fave thing LOL
Just realised this, in Terminator 2 when the evil terminator is looking for John Connor in the arcade, you can see a Trog cabinet in the background.
That’s a really good game. TroOOOOOOG
Let's all face it, this show has gotten us through plenty of life's uncertainty, close to a decade now! The Game Chasers will always be Smithsonian level to me. 👍💪
Love seeing you guys out and about. Thanks for keeping us all smiling!
Finally, the Game Chasers HAVE COME BACK...to CZcams.
"Rise from your grave" I love Altered Beast
Dead or alive, YOU'RE COMING WITH ME!
You nailed it!👍
5:27 Billy: "I've got my eye on a few things things that I hope Jay gets". ROFL That's the way game chasin go!
Missed you guys. One of the best shows on CZcams.
The show's focus on arcade games recently is very cool. The arcade auctions were some of my favorite early episodes.
@@darthkai8242 I can definitely see that. To me, it's part of their creativity to still produce a great show. Hard to say what the retro game market will look like post COVID-19. A lot of people might be turning into sellers and the market could be flooded with carts again.
im so glad you guys are still coming out with new content. please never stop! you guys deserve so much for the many years you guys put in on your content. especially during these times. keep up the good work chodes!
So glad y’all are back!
Sad to see Freaks & Geeks close. Never got the chance to check them out :(
Get off work early at noon and see a new Game Chasers episode to watch while eating lunch. You guys the real MVP!!!
So you guys just popped up in my recommended, Im hooked
Well thank you for being hooked
Just wanted to say on behalf of all the game chasers fans thank you for putting out episodes that we look very forward to seeing especially in this tough time. Y'all know how to keep us entertained and help keep our minds off of what's going on with the world nowadays. Thank you for everything you do and keep up the work.
No problem!
Can't believe you got Pyros! Played Pyros or Wardner back in the 80's at my local video game store a ton. Great arcade game! Wardner on Genesis is a great port.
Very cool!
The Game Chasers It’s a REALLY nice hidden gem hardly anyone knows about. How much did y’all get away with it for? I’m so jelly. I have the board, bezel and marquee. Just need a cab and control panel.
Man I miss game hunting and arcades. Thanks for letting us live vicariously.
Awesome episode! I'm really looking forward to seeing Jay's barcade up and running. Been watching you guys for years and can't understand why you don't have more subscribers!
It’s so sad seeing Freak & Geeks like that. Love Alec. Such a great dude!
This episode was amazing dudes. Congrats on your scores, I really enjoy the auction segments!
Always a good day when ever a new GC episode shows up in my feed
Amazing group of arcade cabs there, very nice, excited to see the barcade when it is finished!
Im so happy to see you guys are back and safe. Right on.
Hahahahaha!!!!! That MacDonalds analogy was effin hilarious! That dude nailed it. Too funny!!!
*Man-pits,Doritos & regrets* also would have been a great title for this episode 😅
Lmao, Jay's Billy bit on Trog! love the convulsion edits haha
as someone who works in auctions, i love bidders like you guys haha
So excited to see another episode!!! Love you guys ❤️
Can't wait to see the barcade when its all finished! Great Episode! I hope Freaks and Geeks come back soon. Very nice people who work there.
The random 'fart' at 15.38 cracked me up.
Had a smile from ear to ear when i saw there was a new episode. Thank you for the video guys and i cant wait for the barcade. 👍
That missile command looked nice but I love trog on nes and never knew it had an arcade same with growl! :-D awesome episode!
That’s awesome you’re partnering with Alex from Freaks and Geeks. He’s a good dude and it’s not fair he had to shut down his location
Nobody:
Auctioneer: “said-a-dun-didli-dun-dun!”
Yeah. Why does he have to talk like that. It's so annoying to listen.
Man... I wish I had an arcade cabinet in my collection. Especially to have the classic Ninja Gaiden or Rygar.
After the crappy day I've had this is just what I need. Thanks guys!
The auctioneers always sound like Boomhauer on speed.
Not sure how I missed you guys all these years but this popped up in my recommended and I’ve been binging ever since. I haven’t been chasing since the mid 00’s when flea market people started to think they all had solid gold for NES carts, but you guys have definitely helped rekindle my love for the hunt.
You guys just made my day. Feels like Christmas in July.
If Jay ever opens that arcade I'm there! And *acktchually* Robocop 2 was largely filmed in Houston. Robocop 3... let's pretend that one doesn't exist. Lol
Dude, I still remember my dad buying me Trog on NES when I was like 8 from the flea market. It’s been my favorite NES game ever since. Would love to own the cabinet someday.
Its been a few years since i watched this channel but man its just as good as i remember. These arcade hunts brings back memories to the early days of game hunting. Looking forward to seeing ur journey to making ur arcade bar!
Thank You! It was good to see a new episode. This totally made my day, I was not expecting it at all and my eyes lit up! Thank you and stay safe out there Billy & Jay!
It feels so good and all I seen was the intro!! :D
New game chasers episodes always makes me happy
The splice-ins on this were on point!
One time I was moving arcade cabs and I DID use yarn, because I'm a cat, sooo
Great Vid guys! Always interesting to see the inner workings of an auction.
very cool deal guys. thats dedication putting in that footwork even in the apocalypse.
Always great to see a new GC episode! Best part of my day!
Damn for some stupid reason I haven’t watched these guys in years. Glad to be back
Watched some old GC episodes on work today and BAAM a new one right before bed time! Great episode and enjoy your new arcades!
Dang I got so excited when I saw that robocop cab. I loved that game. Best robocop game ever!
Daaammmmm robocop... sick!!!! I spent tonnes of money on this back in day... love it and the music nostalgia right there...
BTW sorry for the numerous comments I'm just soooo happy my fave channel back as it should
Thanks for the boost guys. Your vids are always a pick me up. I hope Tim, Eric, Dodongo, Melvor, Chris, etc., etc. are well. Hope to see them in Game Chasers soon. Stay well!! Keep it up. Thanks again
I still remember when I met Jay and Eric at ZeroGravity Games in Fayetteville, GA - Awesome dudes.
Billy wearing a modified training mask is actually pretty brilliant, you stay safe and get a bit of a workout at the same time wish I would have thought of it sooner.
I'm already ready for that arcade. It's so cool seeing you guys putting it all together.
Glad you guys were able to go out and do an episode. Stay safe and thanks for the content! How far away is Jay from opening the Barcade?
well pretty far thanks to 2020
Legit my Birthday today... Best present I got this year!!! :)
I appreciate you guys taking the safe approach to going out.
this brightened up my day, and it was a rough day...thank you!
Happy to help!
I think documenting the process of opening a barcade is absolutely a great direction for the Game Chasers to go. Keep it coming!
I’m really glad billy and jay returned! I’ve learned so much from them and have increased my collection here in Michigan! I watch these dudes for a while before bed and the information these guys have is phenomenal! Thank you guys please keep making videos!
Great to see another episode. This was a really fun unique one. I'm so excited to see Jay's arcade get going and would love to see more episodes on the progress. Hope to visit it some day.
"You know what I hate about auctions....auctioneers"...LOL
I havent even watched the episode but i thank you guys for it, hope you stay safe.
Gamechasers episodes always makes my day better!! Keep doing what you're doing 🤘👍
Glad you like them!
LOVE this arcade chasing episode! Gonna watch it over and over again!
Good pick on the Robocop cabinet. That's definitely one of Data East's best games. I still feed that thing quarters whenever I come across one.
Hell yes new episode !! day just got even better
So glad to see you guys on my sub feed! Can always count on you guys to cheer up a shitty day!
Been checking daily, glad you boys still on it!
Awesome that was the same long haired auctioneer guy from the Arcade Redemption episodes like 8 years ago! I'm impressed by Jay "Deep pockets" in this one ;)
“Why is that necessary?” Big facts lol 😂
OMG thank the lord! There's actually a new episode! One of my favorite CZcams series ever.
Excellent episode. The auctions were especially fun to watch.
The editing got me dying 😂 great job guys awesome episode 👌
How dare Jay even shit on the McDouble. That shit's legendary.
Congrats Game Chasers on the game cab. Thanks for the upload. Good to see all is well and whatnot. Be safe.
This was the best episode in a long time. Nothing like Shady Jay with money! LOL!!! Looking forward to going on this journey with Jay and Billy to the barcade.
Great episode! best if luck jay on the business venture.
7:16 My first video game memory was sitting at and pretending to play a Pac-Man cocktail arcade machine at Pizza-Hut while my parents ordered pizza. Must’ve been in 1984 when I was 4 years old.
Missile Command on the 2600 was the first game I remember ever playing.
I’ve literally spent like a solid week just watching the game Chasers episodes from scratch again
I'm always so damn excited when I get to watch a new Game Chaser's episode! I hope all you chodes are doing well!
The one-man cutaways reminds me of VH1’s “I Love the 80’s”. Love it. Best of luck opening the arcade guys
Nice arcade pickups. Great surprise to see an episode today!
Great episode! Thank you for putting one together.
Just to give you heads up Retro Replay In Cambridge Ontario that you visited in episode 44 Northern Hospitality. Sadly has closed it's doors and move to online as well. I miss Mike the owner that works their...Great guy to talk too and very helpful and informative about video games..
Yep, I haven't seen or heard of Growl. I played Robocop at a local Arcade called Wunderland where in the Early 90's the Arcade games took nickels & the ones against the wall on the right side were free. My Gramma who wasn't into video games at all use to work there & my family & I would go there everyday after school. It was SUCH a golden wonderful & wondrous time, it was the best 🌟. Oh yeah, & I liked Robocop -- it was fun, including the "boom-boom" when I hit some people with my fists in the beginning. Think the coolest game I played there was a 3-D fighter jet game that was controlled with a control stick - been having trouble remembering the name of it for many years... There was a shooting spree game that was good, too, which don't remember the name of either - but remember it being a Konami game. A bunch of kids & I played it. Think it was a 4-Player. Was literally a blast 😎! A LOT a blasts. About Altered Beast: I was at the local city laundry mat, & was seeing a guy setting up the Altered Beast arcade machine which was the first time I saw that game in the Early 90's. Think I was the first one to play it there. & on the first play, it was free. Think I liked the first level the best. Don't remember how far I got. It looked alright to me at that time, but now it's like aaahh, kinda "crumbly" - probably like a saltine cracker. Not as keen on the levels after. Did you guys know there's a Metroid arcade game? Think it was in Japan.
