- Today, June 6th, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's 350th Coronation Day. I think its important to analyse why is he still being celebrated by the people. Here in this video, I tried to unfold a lot of untold stories of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. So share this video as much as possible and spread the legacy of Chhatrapati.

There many books written by Local Historians even 4th std. history of MH govt. is enough to know all this or biographies written by Bendre and Purandare and it was common to have more than one wife. Shivaji Maharaji himself had 8 wives.

@@shravanimahale-sk1gy I second your statement completely Shravani but same as you pointed out i would like to emphasize again it was a clear cut and well planned strategy by the Maratha powers during the Shahji maharaj period that Jijau would handle the local administration in Pune Jagir Maharaj saheb ( Shahji maharaj ) will keep the Maratha lands protected from external threats from southern nawabs same can be seen even in later years when Chatrapati Shivaji became active and fought battles in youg age and Shahaji maharaj played similar politics in south with nawabs so there was no neglegance at all subjected to Jijaubai saheb.
Thus requesting @Keerthihistory please rephrase those parts although the factual content is correct but words might offend.

and here we celebrate our lord CHHATRAPATI SHIVAJI MAHARAJ jayanti as SHIVJAYANTI. And on this day we worship his idol and the whole night pass by listening his glorifing history through dramas. There will be lot of crowd, people even come from maharashtra to see this. Here we sing pauvade(poems on maharaj and his great warriors) and dance on his songs

Sorry! But for your kind information, Jijabai wasn't neglected by her husband. Shahaji Maharaj and Jijabai dreamed for the welfare of the people in Bharat, and that is why they both sacrificed their life by starting living separately. Jijabai gave birth to two sons 1st one is Sambhaji and the 2nd one is Shivaji Maharaj. Shahaji Maharaj was living with his elder son Sambhaji at Bangloru and Jijabai was living with Shivaji Maharaj at Pune.
So please just recheck your information.

I don’t think it’s there in class 3. Class 3 we had very boring history of Stone Age humans , evolution etc. We have in depth about Shivaji Maharaj in class 4 and it hasn’t changed since the time I studied in school 1998.

When Maharaj knew that his army is fighting against a woman he stopped. he met Rani Mallama and She respectfully greeted Maharaj. Why so hatered man. We live in same country. Shringeri incident happend 110 years after Shivaji maharaj death. 1791. Maharaj passed away in 1680. And it wasnt his core army. its the ppl marahta used to keep on contract so maratha really didnt have any control over these armies.

What had happened was, during the third Anglo-Mysore war in 1791, a contingent of irregular mercenaries, also known as Pindaris who were under the employ of Maratha Sardar Raghunath Rao ‘Dada’ Kurundwadkar for that particular campaign, were defeated and began to retreat through the temple town of Sringeri. While moving through the town, the Pindari contingent must have decided to loot the town to make up for their losses.
To understand why the Pindaris would loot the temple town, we must first understand who the Pindaris were and what their role and designation in the Maratha Forces was

Shahaji maharaj handled adilshah when shivrai was small and his contribution is equal to or greater than jijabai. He taught diplomacy to shivrai.

It is vwry unfortunate that there is no dedicated chapter of Shri Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in our school textbooks (atleast in my state board)..
I've been taught all the low self esteem history which I should be ashamed of for years.

One small correction. The Chief of Ch.Shivaji 's navy was not Daulat Khan. It was Kanhoji Aangre
Kanhoji Aangre became the navy chief well after Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s time. Kanhoji angre would be 10 years old when Maharaj passed away.
Mayanak Bhandari, Daulat Khan and Darya Saarang would probably be the “navy chiefs” during Maharaj’s time.
