His power suits him cuz he doesn't trust anyone after he was betrayed in double dungeon. And no, this is not a generic card description like pokemon games. System never lies.
I also love how this coincides with the absolute loyalty of his shadows. They will never betray him.

Since fighting Kang Taeshik, Jin-Woo has cleared about 10 C-Rank dungeons, fought all those knights and others, defeated Egris the Blood-Red, wiped out a Penalty Zone, and cleared the Job Change Quest. Egris was a high A-Rank, which means that Jin-Woo is likely high A-Rank or low S-Rank at this point.
If Igris was High A-Rank, then at best SJW would have been Low A-Rank... at best, because, while he did win the fight, he was clearly outclassed the entire fight, by a pretty significant margin.
@@mazhiwezakizo3513 yes he is somwhere in the A Rank - more can't be said. It is funny that people wanna push him up the Ranking so much from show to show, while we also don't like when in these shows the powerprogression seems far to fast.
@@Airwave2k2 lol yeah. I honestly think the pacing would have been better for the story if he didn't just immediately (effectively at least) go from the bottom of E to basically upper B or lower A.
Nah he's A Rank Or Lower A Rank at this point. he got lucky against Igris, but he could probably defeat Some S Ranks with Igris Fighting Alongside Him

The Jinwoo voice actor was being threatened if he messed up the arise line, to the point that he said if people keep trying to tell him how to do his job, he would change the command to "wakey wakey"

He is a necromancer, so yes. He can extract any dead person's shadow. The limits are time passed after death and how strong they are compared to him

The enthusiastic reactions you both had to the "Arise" line being spoken is adorable and infectious, I must say. And initially I was just as reticent about the class change to necromancer as both of you, but it really does make more and more sense as the story reveals itself, even apart from the awesomeness of having Igris on Jinwoo's team. I am looking forward to seeing season 2 as much as both of you are. This has been an inspired adaptation by A-1 Pictures so far, and if this level of quality continues for the next twelve episodes, then I feel we're in for something legendary in the annals of anime. I won't spoil anything, but the next season will have my favourite mini-arc of the entire story. It blew me away more than episode 6 or episode 9 of the anime. Yes, it's that good. Don't worry, there are many more incredible moments that come after, so please don't think that the show peaks early or anything. It's just this one upcoming part does such an unparalleled job of bringing together everything that came before it, that it is seared into my memory as the most awesome and cool moment in the entire story.

(Angel of death)(valley of death)(only for player)(ghost) (statue of god) ( double dungeon rulles:1 worship god 2 praise the god 3 prove your faith to god)(player)(ruller's hand)(monarch of the shadows) these words aren't just poetic they have significance in the plot of the story.

My liege. You did well watching the anime. It's a delight that you are so into it. The show is good, not outstanding, but solid. However within the genre of power fantasy it is up there, so with the right direction I think the next season and hopefully after more it will no disappointment.
Also and now do Frieren (if you do first 4 episodes were broadcasted together, so you should watch them as that package). xD

There's an interesting juxtaposition here, as Gunhee's body is being burned out by his power, while Jin-Woo's body changes with his growth.

The Eminence in Shadow (Japanese: 陰の実力者になりたくて!, Hepburn: Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!). 3. The Rising of the Shield Hero (Japanese: 盾の勇者の成り上がり, Hepburn: Tate no Yūsha no Nariagari)
There are so many people who miss the scar on Igris's left eye cuz jinwoo stabbed him in their fight, it's his ONLY scar from battle.

So, as a light novel reader, here's something I've been thinking about in relation to those who have experienced a Second Awakening ... Spoilers ...
There have only been 5 true Second Awakenings, not including Jin-Woo due to his growth, rather than a sudden increase in power. All the others have been artifice: either False Rankers revealing their true power, or [redacted].
If you think about it when he killed Igris it gave him an s tier item those usually don't drop from lower than s tier monsters. Remember he got a lower tier item from the gate monster in the S class hell dungeon. From Cerberus. So I think Cerberus was probably like A tier
There is a teaser trailer for season 2, but it has like 1 frame on season 2 stuff and has almost only recap

Can someone clarify. If he loses his Dagger or throws his dagger, can't he just take it back out of his inventory like he did with igris or does that only happen if someone else tries to hold the weapon?
The call back power seems useless for his weapons if he can just take it back out of his inventory otherwise
Edit: I can't help but get excited over the thought that there are probably hundreds of Gates that broke on that island!! I wonder what bosses will come!

The reason SJW had such a hard time with raising Igris, is partly because the longer a body has been dead, the harder it becomes to raise their shadow, but also because of the relative strength between them, Igris is actually stronger than SJW, so it makes it just that much harder to gain control of him. Thirdly, this is never really stated anywhere, but will be hinted at later, is the reluctance of the target to serve SJW. Igris was extremely against serving SJW, for... "Reasons" that might be covered in the far future, but SJW's speech actually convinced him to accept SJW as his master.
Also, I don't think this counts as a spoiler really, but in the Webtoon, you get to see alot of funny little... shenanigans... being committed by the Shadows, in the background of many scenes with SJW, and I really hope they include these in the next season. They add alot of... personality... to the shadows.
