    Kinda miss some of the old school Tron-feeling Android designs. Material design is such a giant leap from Google though.

    • @andyrxsart564
      @andyrxsart564 Před 9 lety +1

      I don't even think material design is such a big update compared to the jump from Gingerbread(eww!) To many of today's looks that derived from the massive update to Ice Cream sandwich. Sigh

    The most important transition from Eclair to Froyo was the ability to move apps to SD card. It was a nice feature addition since most of the phones, even the flagship ones, at that time had an internal memory of 512 MB to 1 GB.

    As an ios user but technology lover,android sucked ass untill ICS,i saw ICS on an HTC and it was refreshing from all the previous ugly versions of android,finally they made something good,jellybean was even better but since ICS android has become a serious thing,now with lollipop i am glad they are making android a definitely better experience than ever before,the better the competition is,the better products we'll get. Good job Google!!

    • @Al.j.Vasquez
      @Al.j.Vasquez Před 9 lety

      ***** thanks man,the same i would say about android fanboys, come on, we love technology,people just need to stop being stubborn and realize everything is good, that the world of mobile technology has evolved in a lot since late 2000's, thanks to the competition and the constant need for better things, the more mature android, ios and windows phone are,the more similar they become.some people complain about smartphones being not as smart, i believe some people isn't still clever enough to take the best out of some smartphones.

    • @Al.j.Vasquez
      @Al.j.Vasquez Před 9 lety

      genito66666 i like how well developed they arer, and their core are the apps you can find in their markets, they have it all, windows doesn't, BB is half dead for me hehe i always wanted their overexclusiveness.
      So i do like ios, but i oprefere it jailbroken, and i like android, reminds me of how we uised to use our cellphones in the past, more freedom and variety.

    • @Al.j.Vasquez
      @Al.j.Vasquez Před 9 lety

      genito66666 man i live in costa rica, this country has not much variety, just android everywhere, in every store, mostly crappy cheap samsung smartphones, carriers sell iphones but they are too expensive,and some fewpeople buy windows phones, i have no access to other OSs, i wanted to see ubuntu in a nexus but, not gonna happen here hehe we gotta import a nexus from the US cuz they don'ty sell them here.

    • @Al.j.Vasquez
      @Al.j.Vasquez Před 9 lety

      genito66666 same here haha the Colon worths 500 times less than a dollar, so when i see a 400$ smartphone in ebay or amazon, it usually costs 600-7004 here, for dslr cameras.. exactly the double.

    This was a pretty nifty video, I have been following the software changes since Honeycomb. They should still concentrate on trying to get the latest software to older phones, especially since they committed with making it work better with lower spec device. They should have something like samsung, that allows users to go on their website and download the updates for themselves.

      @edwardkothalawala3857 Před 8 lety

      +DodgaOfficial You mean vertical scrolling? Marshmellow has a vertically scrolling app drawer. You can also use Nova launcher.
      If you meant the pull up drawer in cupcake, then you can use Nova launcher Prime. It has gestures, and you can do anything with swipes and taps. You can set the "open app drawer" action for the "swipe up" gesture.

    • @DodgaOfficial
      @DodgaOfficial Před 8 lety

      Edward Kothalawala thanks for the suggestions, but I've already tried all of those. The drawer I'm talking about literally had a tab you could grab and as you pulled it upwards the drawer would follow your finger. It wasn't gesture based, as you could pull it halfway out and then slide it back down if you wanted.
