In Kyle's timeline, Michael is dead. But Michael is in now trapped in a separate paradox while the others are living freely while Michael is in his own world, except he's a psychopath, so I'm not sure if its really a nightmare or not.
It will eventually become one, after he fulfills all his psycho fantasies
He can fulfill all his dreams forever. It's amazing until it becomes hell.
Reminds me of an old twilight zone episode. This guy dies and thought he went to heaven. He got anything he wanted and didn't have to do anything for it. He eventually got bored and said he wished he went to hell. He then found out he was in hell. It seemed good at first but he realized without the thrill of doing the things he loved, gambling, stealing, whatever it was so boring he hated it. Here he could eventually do everything he wants and gets bored since it's ultimately pointless. Give it 5,000 years and he'll probably just stay in bed all day because he's done everything he can do countless times.
@@tonyblake7569 man this kind of scenario is scary, it sounds cool for a bit since it would be a way to catch up on things, for example with movies and shows that you want to watch or with books that you want to read in order to learn, but eventually you'd run out of shoes on Netflix, CZcams, Hulu, etcetera, and you'd run out of the amount of people that you can interact and out of new experiences that you can go through since you wouldn't be able to travel the world, eventually everything will be no different than waking up on a Saturday morning as a child and having to watch a repeat of the same Saturday morning cartoons every single time
@Nero Bianco It will be heaven for him at first until he runs out of new stuff to do after a couple thousand loops. Then it will be hell where he will feel like he's trapped in a nightmarish prison where has already done everything he can possibly think of, with one exception. Forgiving his father. After spending a long time in his own version of that hell, he will eventually forgive his father, simply because that's the only way out of this prison. He won't have anything new left to try and if he wants to keep his sanity, that's the only thing he can do to leave.
It's either that or go insane and spend eternity in a neverending loop of everything being the exact same.
I love these time loop movies, they're so interesting and really makes you think what you could do if you were in the same situation as the 3 people in the time loop of the movie.
I remember in one time loop movie this girl walked around college naked. Hey nobody going to remember and she probably always wanted to do it anyway.

Pretty much he killed himself and ended up in the loop so everybody moves on thinking he died. Only when he makes peace will the loop end and the timeline reset with him in it.
There are no days after that looped day. Everyone is still stuck in a loop, but only Michael is aware of it now. Everyone else is blissfully unaware. Technically only Michael is "stuck" but they are all trapped.
If michael woke up, then i honestly cant accept that the others are free. The only explanation is that the time loop increased from only one day to 2 days. They all got stuck in the loop so all of them have to be free from it at the same time. Otherwise, it wouldn't make sense.

I don't think the girl jumped. News said it was a man, and the only reason we know the girl was going to was what Michael did to her. So unless he did it the final loop then she's safe, just the original guy should be dead.

imagine the power of endlessly looping the same day and remembering it all, id start picking up books and skills and learning soooo fucking much, and by time i figure out the way out id be one of the most knowledgeable people in the world, id have literally infinite time to become a master at whatever i wanted as long as i can train in it within a days worth of time.
Not as good as you imagine. You're still limited by time in the day, which means you can basically only take advance of things near you for the rest of your existence. You can't even travel and experience the world, since anything that takes too long will get you basically at loop point. Seems overrated as hell imo, you cant even write a book or make progress on any art or anything, since it will always get wiped away. Thus your choices of a skill, even reading a book are limited to basically proximity and time.
@@AllGodsDue You could read all the books at your local library, master every dish you'd ever want to cook, learning an instrument carries on to all eventualities it seems. Making art, and the ideas for a good book; take a huge amount of time and consideration. You can't physically carry anything with you, no. Though you'd have a serious opportunity to expand your consciousness. The only limiting factors are the ability remember and your desire to actually learn all that junk. I really think most people would waste crazy amounts of time playing games. Or doing other ridiculous activities.
That's what Phil ended up doing in Groundhog Day. He took advantage of his loop to learn the piano, get to know everyone in town to the smallest detail, learned how to make perfect ice sculptures and a lot of other stuff. You'd be able to master a lot of skills in that loop, but the only way to truly put those skills to use after you've acquired them is to eventually leave it. Otherwise, even though you would have those skills, you'd never be able to apply them in a situation where they last longer than that one day.
That's if you don't go crazy
The limit of memory will catch up to them(unless they have that rare disorder that prevents them from forgetting).
Cool movie. My understanding was, Michael's loop at the end now starts the day after the one that was looping for the three of them. So he now has to contend with the consequences of any crimes he did the day before, perhaps making it impossible for him to even get into his father's prison to make peace.
Michael wokeup in the facility he always wokeup in that facility where he kidnapped people... Rn he is only one stuck in loop the others have moved out of it

When I make decisions that go poorly, I don't get a do-over. It sounds cool, but I wouldn't want it. Nothing you choose to do would be of any consequence. It's like taking a multiple choice test, looking at the answers, then reanswering some of the questions. If life were like that, you would stop thinking about the implications of your decisions because it wouldn't matter. You would just rewind if you got it wrong.

I like these types of movies because it shows that people still live in the past and don't move on. It also shows your true colors.
He is a psychopath who doesn't care about anything, while his friends care and try to do their best. When people don't care they are stuck, when people care and do their best the move on. I hope that made since.

Saw this at the height of the lock down and got addicted to this time loop movies.
This reminds me of an anime art pic I once saw but I think it was called the 30 second loop. The female protagonist was caught in a thirty second loop which allowed her to see all the things she did before the loop restarted such as crouching down and crying, attempting to run away and attempting to self delete with a pair of scissors she was carrying.

The crazy guy was luckiest, because he now knows how to end the loop whenever he wants. If I were him I’d learn every language, get a doctorate in everything, learn every instrument, master every martial art, learn about every person, and if possible see if there’s a lotto draw somewhere that occurs later in the day, and get a ticket for any that are. I’d spend hundreds of years doing all these things, and when I finally ended the loop I’d be wealthy and master of everything. Would find and marry the best woman I had found too.

I think that in this universe every loop makes another timeline
so for Michael, kyle and Sanya are still on the loop with him, while for kyle and sanya michael doesn't exist because none of his other Michaels from any timeline want to leave the loop.
Well, he might leave the loop, but I doubt there's anyway for him to go to their timeline. He's dead in their timeline. He shot himself. What happened that day in that timeline is permanent, and they are living permanently in that timeline. The Kyle and Sanya in Michael's new loop probably don't know about the loop since the versions that were trapped with him are out of it. Those versions will probably do what they did to exit the loop everyday unless Michael interferes with them. Michael is alone now. Even if he leaves the loop, it will be in a different timeline/dimension, and he will never make amends with any of the original people he wronged just different versions of them.
These time loop movies are awesome it would be good for a little while but it would get bad after a while

seems like experience stays, id try to progressively go further and further in defeating a nation via all politician elimination, or just invent some really futuristic shit over the course of a single day over and over, probably with no ethics concern for the tests since its gonna reset anyways.

it is kinda like that isn't it, if you can't come to terms with wrongs that are done to you, then you have a hard time moving past them and maturing.
Hardly a bad ending for Michael. He knows what he must do to end the loop but is free to fuck around as much as he wants until then. Kyle and Sonia, while still present in Michael’s world, will have moved on in their own timeline without him bc he killed himself.

As a kid I always said if I was in s Ground Hogs Day loop I'd go on a killing spree knowing the day would reset. I mean come on why not have a little cathartic release and live out every dark fantasy you ever had in that situation?
Not seeing the problem with the ending. Michael gets stuck in his own loop until he cleans up, his crimes never happen, and he, likely, has his own happy end. The only difference is his happy ending is somewhere down the line and the other two get their happy ending sooner.
He is also in a different timeline/dimension from them after they left. If he ever breaks the loop, there will be no one besides himself that will know about the loop. The alternate versions of them might do what they did to break the loop each repeating day if left undisturbed by Michael, but they aren't the same people. Michael can't fix anything with the people he wronged only with different versions of them.
